[REQ]Pure Black Signal Strength Bars(Status Bar)ParanoidAndroid) - Nexus S Themes and Apps

I've been checking around for a few days with no luck, but i'm looking for just a simple black theme for the cell signal strength bars, not the wifi bars. I want them to disappear over the black status bar background so it needs to be a pure black or maybe just blank PNGs? Compatible with CM9(ParanoidAndroid)
Thank you so much for your time!

I'm not too sure about what you're requesting. Just blacking them out wouldn't work. You'd still have the grey that is visible when you lose signal strength, bars, etc. The only ROM (that I know of) that has the ability to actually hide the signal (data) bars is AOKP. But note, there is a blank space where the signal bars are supposed to be when they are hidden. If I could, I'd pull the source code from AOKP, take a look, and make a flashable zip file of a mod for you. But I cannot, for I'm no developer. I'm pretty sure someone on this forum would be willing to help you, you might not be the only one who wants this.

SOLVED
Thanks for your input.
So I was messing around with the settings, I knew the option to hide the signal bars was available in phone mode but not in tablet mode.
1. So first I hid the signal bars in phone mode
2. Then changed it to tablet mode and what do you know it worked hah

(o'.')-o Q('.'Q) [METAMORPH] Simplistic Data Icons and battery icon

Made these for myself but thought id share there basicly very simple data icons and battery icons for in the status bar. Just thought i'd explain how they both work (kind of) so for example let's your on a 3G connection when just connected and no transfering data the whole '3G' is just grey when downloading data the bottom part of the '3G' is black and other half is grey vice versa for uploading and up&down. Data icons done, G , H , 3G , E i will do wifi and signal strenght soon also
now to explain the battery the batter when 100% the 'b' is completley green
80% turquize 'b' with a little bit greyed (missing from the top)
60% aqua 'b' with a lil bit more greyed
40 yellow 'b' with more greyed
20% orange 'b' with more greyed
10% red 'b' with most greyed andflicks round the edge for illusion of warning light
EDIT: sorry no data being recived/sent in any of screens

Wanam Exposed on signal bars?

Does anyone else notice that when using Wanam Exposed that it messes with the bars in the notification area? On my phone its reporting 5 full bars with a -95 signal. My dbm in status is fine, its just the bars. It should be showing 3 bars and its showing 5. Not a big deal, but I am wondering if anyone else notices this?
Anyone know of a way to get rid of the bars and just have it show the -dbm value instead? Thanks

i would also like to know how to get DBM to show in the status bar!
Bump.
Mine also shows 5 bars at -90. It doesn't bother me either. If you want the dbm displayed, download xblast tools from xposed. It will make your signal display as -95. Hope that helps

yeah i found it shortly after my first post. But thanks for posting for all others! XBlast has a somewhat difficult UI. To get the Dbm in the status bar...
go into xblast -> status bar (should be the first option) -> then icons (not an intuitive name) -> mobile signal type -> text
and reboot.

Strange ghost-like overlay

Hello everybody,
I installed fresh AICP rom on my s3 ( 4g, I9305), and everything works just fine ( had to fiddle a bit with a modem firmware, but in the end everything run just fine...)
Until I noticed ( with my sharp eyes ) that there's an almost invisible overlay covering lower portion of the screen...
I checked all the settings more than once and couldn't find a reason...
Then I flashed two more different rom's ( lineage and RR), same thing... Full wipe, clean install, first boot.. and the ghost overlay was there from the beginning.
Then one more time flashing AICP ( I kinda like it the most...), took some photos, crank the levels in Photoshop and voila... No more no less it's a ghost keyboard, not possible to interact with it in any way... but present everywhere...
Anyone has a clue why this ghost keyboard is there, and how to remove it?

Ok, it looks like it took me a little bit of googling to learn new thing.
Screen burn-in...
I guess that's the reason. And since it's a "natural" kind of thing for (am)oled displays...
I'll leave the thread just in case someone knows how to magically fix this
You can try this little app here
Just run it a few hours. It doesn't fix the problem totally but it helped a lot in my I9300. Now I barely notice the burn-in that my phone has in the status bar.
Will try it tonight... Thanks for the heads up.

Unusual Icons in Status Bar

Hello!
I'm coming from a Nexus 5X and a Galaxy A3 2017 and just got my XZ2, which seems to be a very nice device. But i really don't like these icons:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I feel especially bad for the NFC-Icon. I use Google Pay so i keep NFC on all the time, is there no way to remove this icon? I found the switch for status bar icons in the settings but NFC-icon can not be switched of.
The second one are those triangles next to the WiFi-Icon. I'm sorry, but i don't really care when exactly WiFi is being used. - In the settings i can just turn off the whole WiFi-Icon which is also a bad idea to avoid using Mobile Data when WiFI is available.
Can you help me with these?
Best wishes,
Alex

I couldn't find a way, I wish to lose both as you do.

Network Issue

So I recently bought this Xperia 1 Mark 2 and to be honest it's the best phone I have used apart from the battery life.
When I bought it, it was in Taiwan Firmware region which gave me bad network reception like 3 bars on 4G LTE+ or LTE and no 5G at all.
So after searching online I finally changed to SEA which is much better improvement.
But the issue is now I am getting full bars everywhere which is a good thing but no 5G and still slow speeds with full bars I just don't understand.
If anyone can help me understand that would be great.
The bars are pretty pointless: At best they would indicate your reception. In the worst case they show utter garbage.
You should look instead for ASU, on my LOS it's in settings:

Mobile phone signal - Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org
That value is quite meaningful, and if I remember correctly, it is the base for the reception bars (and every dev can freely assign the ASU value to any number of bars).
However, reception can be good but traffic is still very slow. How? For example one provider in Germany (Telefonica) was infamous for such thing: You had 5 bars and even a good ASU but still very spotty traffic due to overcrowded and badly connected cells.
Perhaps that helps you to figure out your bottleneck (or to provide more info here).
PS: Found a nice overview - sry, it's german only but there's always google translate, right?

How has your phone been since flashing SEA firmware?
Also does wifi calling work?
