Mine is scratched as well. Use toothpaste to fill it up and then let it dry. After that repaint it using black paint.

To protect your phone from scratches or damage always use case.To remove your scratches you can use paint for it.
wipe cache in recovery, then the scratches will gone

Hello. Im from the i9003 forum. But my wife has been using & abusing a galaxy mini for about 7mos now..
Yesterday, my 4yr old dunked the said phone in an oily & salty chicken soup. Good thing it wasn't hot anymore! But we only found out that its missing 3hours later.
To make the long story short, i've just finished giving it a sun bath, opened it up and wiped the excess oils aaaand IT STILL WORKS. :what:
Only casualty is the microphone- which can be solved by using a headset. No biggie. Congrats on your choice guys. I only hope my phone's as tough!

nice story
and thanks for your testimony ~
cheers for our mini, guys!
Yeah this phone is just awesome. i drooped it a lots of time but still its working fine like a new one LOL!
Update
Hey guys.
Since my last post, the sd card slot, headphones dock, ear piece & sms notification have stopped working. Because the sd card cant be read anymor, the camera & file transfers are affected.
Apart from these, its still a functioning phone with the aid of a bluetooth headset. It also remains a trusty wifi hotspot for us.
So if you drop yours in a liquid, the exposed hw parts mentioned above are the first to go. But the phone itself can "hold its breath" till you rescue it.
Cheers!

Heard something dropped in my daughter's potty trainer while fixing her bed one night. Didn't bother to see what it is until I realized that I placed my phone beside her bed. That was about 5 minutes after it was soaked on a 1-inch deep of pee

1. Wrong section.
2. You need to edit GT-S5830.rle in boot.img, to do that you need to decompile boot.img and after you're done properly recompile it.

Then nope, you can only damage the display doing anything like that, the cover consists of a black plastic case where the logo is embedded and glass over it(Gorilla glass), the glass and plastic is pretty much fused together.
You should write "how to remove samsung logo ABOVE THE SCREEN?"
Sent from my GT-P6200 using Tapatalk 2
I think it looks nice enough with the logo!
Anyways..I promise your Ace won't look sleek if you try to pry out your gorilla glass just to remove that Samsung logo...
Or just cover it with black tape!

Selfmade "case" with car wrapping film in flat white.
Hi posted a million pics at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933878
Got it in the post yesterday, honestly believe it is far superior to the official samsung case. Slim, light and protects the whole phone. Warms up nice in the hand so feels like leather. :good:
Regarding the SlickFans case. How does case stay closed? Magnet?
How do you like the case after using it some?
Material? Weight?

I was thinking mothers aluminum wheel polish might do the trick... Thoughts?
Sent from my aluminum T.A.R.D.I.S!
Sounds cool and would no doubt look awesome. Personally I would be more concerned with how it may affect phone performance. Meaning, it could in fact decrease call quality etc., by further blocking radio signals. Also, the metal has been said to be taking on a heat synch type role to disperse heat etc.
I guess if the chemical used can disperse heat and not block radio signals then no problem....

I agree with the rest if them... You suck for starting this thread! In all honesty I was previously thinking about the ball burnished laquered look oh this.. but sandpaper anywhere near this piece scares the hell out of me.
So I have discovered that the finish is anodized aluminum. Which for the most part can't be polished without taking off the anodizing.
If I find another camera I will post a pic.
So did anyone polish their HTC One? I searched for pics but couldn't find any.
Here is the real 24k gold one:
http://reviews.cnet.com/2300-6452_7-10019161.html
Sorry for the bad pictures - Hopefully you can get an idea of what I am talking about - Around one edge of the power button, the finish either looks "unfinished" or slightly "peeling off" my 1 day old phone...Probably just me being super anal but wanted your opinions. Thanks
Maybe some protective foil, I remember it took months before someone discovered the home button on the sgs2 had foil on it and we could peel it off.
