First Else Intuition UI - thumb-centric UI - Android Themes

Has anyone here tried developing a UI similar to the First Else Intuition UI from Emblaze mobiles for android based phones?
I am looking for a thumb-centric UI / launcher / theme for my android phone.
Any suggestions/updates?
Cheers.

try tsf shell

how is TSF shell thumb-centric?

I've tried everywhere, but never found anything that even comes remotely close. The best I've found is Circle launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.dbware.circlelauncher&hl=en
especially if you set up a semi circular interface. I'm really surprised noone took up such an awesome idea with tremendous potential.

Yes, I am surprised too that no one even trying the Else Intuition UI for Android. They have already done/tried it for Windows Mobile and IOS.
I wont be surprised if there is one for BB as well.
Dock4doid and Clutchpad are apps in the right direction, but much more can be done, I am optimistic.
Android deserves a try as well.
Waiting....

I love Else UI
IMHO its a lot better and smoother any all the cluttered UIs that are being released ...
Its so futuristic!!! Lol
But its a phenomenal UI

for sure, waiting for this one

lying on android app development

guys, the existence of LMT pie launcher suggests that its possible to have an interface similar or even better than else intuition UI. Although I suspect that it would be difficult to top the else intuition UI. However, I would suggest everyone interested in a thumb-centric UI request the devs here to come up with something similar to else intuition UI.

Haha that was awhile ago!!!
In all seriousness an xda member sent me a link a few months ago about a team of devs .. ( non xda) who were working on bringing the else ui to android... I cannot find it now...
I love the thumb-centric ui I want it bad...
Swhy I tried my best to make it for winmo when I had it
Idk how many of you have the stock ICS or JB browser... but the quick menu that is built in works exactly like intuition Ui... as in you touch and drag towards a specific menu option and a bunch of different options displays off of that one......
I would love to tear apart the code and see how it works and build the effect in to a launcher!!!

wow! htc is releasing a full SDK devoted to sense. check it out here http://www.htcdev.com/dev-center/ this will help devs here on xda TONS so i thought id share.

That's awesome! Maybe we can port some HTC apps to AOSP, like their camera
Good to know that they're removing their heads from their asses.
This is actually huge. The ability to pull from sense will open so many doors.
I can see a beautiful cyanasense coming and that really tickles my pickles
From what I read on the Engadget article about this, it sounds like it's geared towards app development to compliment/integrate with the Sense environment. The developers will get access to the APIs and whatnot, but I don't think they're open sourcing Sense as a whole, but I may have missed something in my skimming.
Edit: Yup, I was right. Here's the article if anybody wants more details. http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/03/htc-announces-opensense-sdk-and-htcdev-offers-paradise-inside-i/

I saw this yesterday and was really excited, then I realized the same thing that you do. Either way its still good that theyre opening it to the community.
That's a bummer
It seems like they just want developers making apps that tie exclusively into the Sense environment. Not a great idea in my opinion. If only Sense didn't drag the phone to a crawl, I'd like it a lot more!
Why on earth would a developer want to limit their creations to those on sense based phones?
Am I missing something here?

I think it's to integrate apps directly into the Sense environment. For people who like Sense a lot (3.0 is real awesome, just saying), its a good move.

And there's most definitely going to be new apis for enhancing/optimizing apps for senseui.
Bummer. I should have known when they said SDK it was only for app development.
It stinks they're keeping Sense locked down, but I still think this is cool. If the corresponding just onto e bandwagon they could just have it somehow check for Sense, and if so adjust itself to enable extra functionality. Sounds cool to me... might even pull me back towards sense.

LOL buy an Android to have Blackberry UI. Craziest thing I heard this month
Blackberry system isn't a loved system/UI, so I don't really think there is much more than the ADW theme. A BB launcher, sure nobody made it. But you can start getting the icons (if you can find them in good resolution :S ) and start with an icon pack.
Also you can mod the status bar to look like BB.
LOL sobralobo! I just realized this is you when I looked up to read again the post! What are you doing?! Hahaha

Ahah antonio, it's just because I love changing the style of my phone. Sometimes I want android UI, then Iphone UI, WP7 UI and know I would like the blackberry one. I like it too. Too bad that there is nothing more than ADW.
Well now I had to stop trying some development and modding because I'll have exams next week and you ?

Hahaha you didn't get me! I wasn't saying "why would you want Android look like *** not Android?", but specifically Blackberry, which isn't precisally famous for its beauty nor its performance (okay, Blackberries have a keyboard and are useful for businessman blabla).
WP7 and its Metro style have been recognized as pretty, and I'm not the only crazy who said "oh, it's nice", so I'm not alone
I'm not of those who are Android 100% defenders and it must look like Android. You all know that. I was just messing with Blackberry (which I hate), making my point and also messing with Sobralobo a little bit
Fair enough, and I'm always looking for themes, but ones that DON'T look like anything else. And as much as you may hate blackberry, I DESPISE everything Microsoft, so from the moment I saw your theme I couldn't understand why anyone would want to make an android look like Microsoft (though I must admit it looks pretty cool) I feel the same about iPhones, if you want your LG or Samsung to look like an iPhone, just spend the extra $200 and buy one!

Galaxy S III touchwiz on Galaxy note?

I wonder if it's possible to rip the software from the S III and port it to the galaxy note. Do you guys think it's possible to see roms running this? On HTC phones it happens but I haven't seen that ever happen with a samsung phone. Any thoughts?

I don't know why people hate the new touchwiz so much. It looks great, and it is the SMOOTHEST launcher I have ever seen. Just look at a video of the S III. There isn't a single stutter. And I love the 3D animations it does when you switch between pages. I also like the shadows that icons have now with the new touchwiz.

No offense guys, if you want to have yet ANOTHER war on favorite launchers, which btw is extremely pointless as every person has their preferences on launchers (apex this, nova that, go launcher ftw, apex rules, etc. etc....), then take it to another thread. The OP here is reaching out to Devs and other members of the XDA community about the possibility of adding some touchwiz 5 features to our beloved Note, or even porting it over completely ( which doesn't sound plausible ). I for one would love the new voice recognition and the lock screen effect is pretty slick, so +1 to those features .

[HOW-TO][GUIDE]Make Android a Gesture controlled OS.

Gesture Controlled operations for Android
I've been tired of everyone saying that Android is stale and it needs something like Ubuntu or BB10 Gesture control in next version, I do agree upto some extent but then, we already have an app that can do anything and everything for us. So I thought of making a tutorial, let's get started.
You'll need this app GMD GestureControl ★ root, best ~$6 I ever spent ($5.56 to be precise )
So all you need is that app, I've thought of making a long post describing how to use it but then I thought of sticking to a video. Here it is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPlJuOyZoQg
THIS VIDEO IS NOT MADE ON N4 THAT'S WHY IT LAGS! xD
The Other two apps are : -
Swipe pad
Glovebox
Glovebox looks a bit ugly and big because I recorded this video on a WVGA device, It should look alright on Nexus 4's 720p. I'm yet to receieve mine so had to make this video on my S2.
As you can see I did many mistakes, but there's huge potential in that app, checkout the video the developer posted. So this makes Android gestures waaayyy more customizable

It's super responsive, no lag in gestures, feels like gestures are part of the OS I can't even live without it. So thought of sharing.
Using this since it's thread on xda.
It's amazing when you also hide the navbar, it's like a no-button device..

[Q] Anyone using Themer?

I just saw this newly developed app, Themer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycolorscreen.themer&hl=en
Is anyone using it? How does it work? I guess the easiest solution is just to install it. But the waiting list is so long. I want to know if this app can install a homescreen theme without purchasing the apps that the original designers used. Thanks.
Looks like you can do the same stuff with exposed framework
Sent on my Moto X
yeah. I am using it. waiting for more themes. I check it every couple of days to see if I like any of them.
I'm not 100% sure what will happen if you get a theme that used widgets you don't have. The themes that come preinstalled use Themer widgets that come with the launcher so they work out of the box on any phone. One of the widgets is very powerful like uccw.
Sent from my Moto X.
Well, the waiting period was shortened. With this code "MSTRCD" I was able to use Themer...after five minutes, I decided to uninstall it for such reasons as: 1, not really customizable after I applied a theme. For instance, I cannot resize a widget. 2, There is no simple way to switch a default app if I change my mind later.
Themer indeed can do multiple homescreens. But again, it is hard to Create anything new.
So far, the major downside of Buzz is it consumes more rams than Themer.
If you are interested in using it now, I got the code from here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/10/grab-this-themer-beta-invite-code-good-for-40000-uses-and-help-mycolorscreen-test-its-beefed-up-servers/
freeintruth said:
I guess I am just trying to see the main difference between Themer and Buzz launcher. With Buzz, for the widgets to work, which I do not already have, I need to download them. Some recent screens on mycolorscreen require Zooper Widget that costs $2...and Buzz cannot yet do the overlapping widgets. I wonder Themer can actually solve all of them together and remain to be free.
Oh, forgot to ask one more question: the biggest thing with Buzz, for me at least, is to be able to have multiple wallpapers. Can Themer do various homescreens in case I like three or four screens?
Thanks guys for the input.

I bet most people that build themes will use the included widgets and other built-in features. You can have as many pages you want and can have different wallpapers for each of them. Have a look at this video about how to theme with Themer...

I've had it for about a week and I like it. Like said above , it needs more themes but that will most likely not be a problem when it is out of beta. I am impressed by it and can't wait to see what they bring in the future.

Got a free code for Themer: TJMUH7. Enjoy
I tried it, but concluded that Themer is basically for the less experienced and the lazy users. The biggest problem with it is that it requires you to set it as your default launcher, which means that you lose all the useful features of nova launcher or whatever custom launcher you had before. No matter how simple it is to switch themes, the launcher is too important to the overall android experience to replace it.
With that said, if you take the time, you can port whatever full theme you like from mycolorscreen.com using the appropriate apps and get proper theming without replacing your launcher. Personally, themes are not a big deal because I feel like I will get bored of it very quickly. So I just stick with changing the wallpaper once a week and call it day.
Its a pretty cool app that makes theming your phone really easy by just selecting the theme, downloading it, then apply. It's kind of like the MIUI theme app but I think that was for just lock screens. There was a couple really neat themes I liked, I just couldnt sacrifice all of my nova launcher settings for this launcher. Plus having quick access to my most frequently used apps on the desktop was a must.

I agree. Why not make your own? There are some really nice features. The themer everything widget just like uccw but imo better implemented. You can easily, without another app, set different wallpapers for each page. I'm pretty optimistic that it will turn into a great launcher, possibly better than the competition.

They just removed this from the voting yesterday, maybe they are adding this in soon?
I ultimately stopped using themer for the time being due to lack of functionality with G+ and Hangouts. I really like the unread SMS and Email counter that you can add (like I did with my modified "Now" theme), but something similar should/could be added for G+, Hangouts and surely other things that people use (voice, skype, IRC...)
BTW, I have nothing to do with this app. I'm fighting my hardest to stay stock/unrooted with my Moto X and themer is pretty nice helper when I start to get bored.
