Screenshot capability in ICS leak - Motorola Droid Bionic

Well I WAS going to ask the question. However, now I don't need to because of the "similar threads" that pop up when authoring a post. And, yes, I thanked the author of the post that helped.
Regardless, I will post the answer here for those that don't know. To take a screenshot in ICS (just tried this in the .2233 leak) hold the volume-down button and power-button for about two seconds.
EDIT:
Sorry. I guess I should have posted this in General.

Dude, that is awesome i didnt know about this!.... lol

[Q] Invisible "Thanks Button"?

I have been reading threads on this forum since I got my Captivate in August, 2010 and this is my first post. During this time I have seen several references to the "Thanks Button". There have been many times when I would have used it if I knew where it was. So much help here, so many questions answered. Problem is, button does not seem to exist for me. So, my question is; where is it?
Using xda app or website

It's right next to "quote" on every post on every thread on the website.
There may be a minimum post count before it shows up.
There is a minimum post count. Not sure what the minimum is, but I have less than 10 posts and it just recently started showing up for me.
edit: i lied, I have exactly 10 posts including this one
You also have to be signed in.

It's the minimum post issue. This will be my third post. All replies appreciated!
Hmm I'm signed in on the web site and have more than 10 posts but don't have a thank button next to quote just 2 more quote buttons.

I am glad someone asked this! I can see the Thanks button now but about a month ago before I made any posts I could not find it anywhere. There were a few people I wanted to 'Thank' but thought I was going crazy as I could not find it. And being new, I was too afraid to ask where the button was, lol.
good post I too wondered about the thanks button

Based on the replies in this thread, this was a great post. Although I already knew where it was, I clicked the Thanks button on your OP, since that is what it is for.
"Thanks Button" magically appeared for me today. Go figure.
I've had no problem on web site but I still have not been able to find it on xda app. Is it hiding from me or not available on app?
It does not show up in the app or tapatalk for some reason. It would be nice since i read the boards mainly through one of these apps.

CWM on DROID 3!

Looks like we got a bootstrap/2nd-init coming soon! CWM is even accessible from boot.
Thanks to all that worked on this. We greatly appreciate it!

Somebody actually thanked you? Jeepers. No reason to be rude like that.

Despite this being old news, stuff like this shouldn't be posted in the dev section. If you actually provided instructions and such, then that would merit a post here. I don't want to sound like a ****, but try to keep this sort of stuff in the general section.

Post this info in the General section next time, btw.
Thanx for the video, that is new for me.

Bionic has CWM now

Bootstrap is up and running thanks to CVPCS.
Our phones are almsot identical, so I don't know if someone wanted to take the plunge since you have recovery now too.
Just wanted to give the Droid 3 owners a heads up.

I cannot stress enough that THIS IS FOR BIONIC ONLY. You should not attempt this for use with other devices such as the Droid 3 except at your own risk. The D3 specifically has differences that will cause your internal storage to wipe if you attempt to use this bootstrap on it.

I'm brave, but not that brave.
Yeah, its a use at your own risk kind of thing, obviously.
Maybe someone can get CVPCS to take a look at the D3, the work is mostly done with the bionic.
DO NOT USE THE BIONIC BOOTSTRAP. He posted on his blog this same warning.
I REPEAT: DO NOT USE BIONIC BOOTSTRAP.
It fries your internal memory apparently. Wait for the D3 version, should be out today or tomorrow.

I think I'll just wait for Hashcode's Recovery/Bootstrap. Should be out in the next day or so.

The second part of your post isn't related to CWM, I think. It looks more like you are talking about CM7 booting up on Droid Bionic. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've been following some of the dev work on the irc channel and our recovery is actually just about ready. From what I understand they are just bug squashing so it doesn't kill anyone's phone.

Not sure what's wrong with a dev-related topic being posted in the dev section, but in my opinion, the real bummer is that CVPCS is developing for the Bionic instead of the D3 (like I hoped). The Bionic has been out for about a week and a half, and already has a pending CM7 mod waiting in the wings. Hopefully we can get some work going on the D3…

BTW guys, there is work being done with the D3 don't worry. We already have a semi working CWM based recovery in the beta stage atm. there are a few dedicated devs working on the D3.
Also keep in mind its only going faster for the bionic devs because our devs have been working so hard on things like 2init and root, granted it does seem we were skipped over by the majority of devs.

On other areas of the site the Developer forum is not for questions but for development. Questions are ether directed to the developer thread of interest or posted in the General category.
I am kind of surprised that no sticky post has been made here stating similar rules.

I honestly have no clue.

with all respect whats the point of this thread. why is so important? Im going to be honest with you i have been in this forum for more than a year (g1,hd2,mt4g,my touch, incredible, droid x and alot more i dont remember) if you see my numbers your are going to laught. but you know what i dont care because i dont know you but im here to learn of the devs if i can help i do or at least i try. But i not going to clicking thanks on every silly post. And honestly theres only a few posts deserve thanks in this bionic forum the rest are are just a waste of time. Like i said im not here for numbers and im not afraid to click the thanks but you are going to see my thanks on the posts i think really deserve.
This is no personal im just making my point and trying to help you with your question.
i prefer too see a member with 25 helpful posts than a member with 300 nonsense posts.

I use the xda app and don't see a thanks button. But does it make a difference if someone tells you thank you or hits the thanks button? A lot of the people who need help on here is because they haven't taken the time to read through the information and follow instructions. If they can't take time to read and follow instructions, can't really expect them to click a thanks button.

To a point yes to a point no and all you have to do is push the menu button on phone browser and click the thanks button bam done.

Unfortunately when I hit menu, it doesn't have a thanks button. I get refresh, reply, subscribe, browser, close.
I still stand by that majority of the help could be avoided in the first place if people would read and follow the exact directions. Most of the.questions on here have been answered many times and still get asked again. I am starting to see why so many developers have left xda.

Tap the post you want to thank and it's in that menu. If it's not in there then make sure you've got the latest version. It's been in for a while now so I'd be surprised if it was because you've got an old version, but you never know.

New guy checking in.

Just wanted to pop in and say hey, I have been lurking around for along time and finally decided to sign up and join in.
This is my first smart phone that I have ever attempted to root/unlock (note 2) and had absolutely no idea how to go about it, so after about a week of reading I finally took the plunge, and from guidance from you guys it was all worth it. So I just want to give a big Thanks to you guys for the videos, write ups and the time you guys spend doing what you do.
