hello all I just rooted my phone and am running evil Eris nd boy I love this Rom, anyways I had a quick question is it possible to use metamorph on the Eris?

Guess I will be looking into this tonite when I get home....
Sent from my HERO200 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
I've attempted to use mm but I know nothing about editing the files- I don't have time to go into what it takes to theme, lol. I changed the battery icon and that's enough for me at the moment.
if you don't know how to use mm, do a search. there are several guides. good luck!

I downloaded it from the market and it says I need box tools how do install that
Sent from my Evil Eris v1.1 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
tried this as well and no luck. anyone with success wanna share how they did it right and which theme they did it with?
Okay, I'm just throwing this out there, but there is a search feature on the forums.
But, I'll look it up for you so you don't have to do anything.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591329
That thread shows you HOW TO METAMORPH. A thread made by the CREATOR of metamorph.
It's a bit more complicated than just downloading the application. There aren't any current made-for-Eris metamorphs out there (that I've found, anyway). So you can A.) find a metamorph you like and port it over to the Eris, or B.) create your own. That includes editing xml files and .9.pngs - so have fun with that.
I know we have a lot of awesome devs providing support for the bionic. So i have 2 questions... 1) would anyone be willing to make a "deblurred rom" and 2) would anyone maybe be willing to go as far as porting over sense to the bionic?? I really miss the extended quick settings and advanced power menus from sense... As well as the power options in the settings.... If we can get something done i think a nice donation would be in order.... :d
Liberty is deblurred. Test builds are posted nightly at AndIRC. Look for #bionic
Liberty also has pull down toggles. And good luck on the Sense port.

To add to this if you come on IRC don't show up asking for builds. Follow @kejar31 on Twitter and he will usually tweet when a new one is coming. That and nobody but Team Liberty is posting links.

i think this phone would be amazing with some of the options that sense has. not necessarily sense itself, just the advanced power menu, the quick settings tab in the notification pull down, and thats really it, so maybe not actually porting over the whole sense ROM, but just those 2 features, is that doable?? anyone???
i would like to know if a sense 3.5 port is possible to bionic too or at least the notification pull down and quick settings tab
Do the th3ory rom in the dev section. Has pulldown toggles like the samsung roms and an Excellent optional theme.
EDIT: the Th3ory rom Does keep Blur intact. But seriously the hype about blur sucking is really just left over from the droid 2/devour/etc older moto phones. the Blur included on the Bionic, especially when trimmed in Th3ory, is pretty awesome.
I second that comment. I actually like blur on the bionic. Its fast. It sucked on my DROIDX. That's for sure. I've thought about using LPP but blur has been serving me well
Sent from my DROID BIONIC
Totally agree with the above two comments. This Blur is nice.

I tried flashing the Deblurred rom earlier...and that lasted 10mins. Although I couldn't restore my nandroid I reflashed reblurred.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC
Yeah I have to agree I'm liking this blur
[D3]BLURR3D BETA 2 will be released on Twitter this evening. ALL Blur besides the Dialer and Contacts has been removed. AOSP everything else.

We dont need the quick settings because we have power controls in the pulldown. Second, advanced power menu is getting worked on by nice dev, syaoran. And im sure NitroGlycerin33 will be working on it as well. It will get done in due time.
Another problem with Sense, is kernel workings, and boot.img edits in the ramdisk. Plus no HTC phone uses the OMAP4 processor. It'd be tough to port. That's an understatement. Damn these locked bootloaders. Would be 100x more possible then.
D3blurr3d beta is nice and smooth no issue as of yet!

im trying to find a black notification bar for D3. i downloaded one off of droid pirate and tried to metamorph it but it was a no go. Anyone know? Dont tell me to flash a gingerbread theme that has one included in the package either lol. i kinda want to just stick to something else. Thanks!

You could try flashing the ICS theme after flashing the Stock Deodex ROM. Literally should only take you 10minutes to do. Flashing those two went really fast. Otherwise SD or Monster ROM would be your best bet if metamorph isn't working for ya. The ones on DroidPirate weren't working to good for me, either. But the whitebread theme and the green one here seem to work great.
Sent from my DROID3 using xda premium
Word ill try the ics theme. I am already stock deodexed so hopefully itll work. Yeah i tried this one gingerbread theme and tried to metamorph that but alls it said was status bar force close. And it kept doing that over and over again. it was one that gave u the neon green notification icons at the top. It pissed me off then i rebooted and no changes applied so i gaveup on that. could you possibily send the link or thread for that ics theme?

Yep, what this guy said.
By the way, usually you're gonna get force closes at first, that's normal. But when you reboot manually it should stop.
Sent from my DROID3 using xda premium
Even with the reboot tho it still wasnt applied. i tried it like 10+ times But i appreciate your guys help

Use the UOT Kitchen and cook up whatever mods you want. I've made and flashed several so far. (Still running Stock ROM for now)
Ok guys, im sorry I haven't gotten back at ya in a while but I have made wonderful progress, I am done with the rom. Only one problem, apktool is giving me this weird issue that I am not sure on how to fix but I had an epiphany on the rom and what is in it
What is going to be in this rom?
Shot of adrenaline
Complete red ics theme, transition animations and every thing
And a thanks to jrummy on letting me use liberty as a base for the rom,
AOSP rom later on in the distant future
Planned release date: as soon as I clear the issue w/ apktool
Please make requests in comments.
Notification toggles
Gsm fix

goog idea good luck!
RESTART option next to SHUT down
Better BlurCamera from Atrix
and some free aplications already installed, like Ymess,Gtalk,skype,facebook,office,...and feel free to add.
some start-up tweaks options, because i belive that less animations/sound means faster start-up.
1% Battery Increments
Build.prop edits for speed and increased battery life
Built-in permanent root via mount_ext3.sh file in bin
- GSM fix from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326310
- Power toggles in drop-down-notification
- Better camera from Atrix (if needed vs the new 5.7.xxx rom)
- Options for Universal Inbox and Default text and maybe other requests (maybe like liberty rom options?)
- permanent root
Thanks! I'll check it out once its released
Yeah all of these requests with a non black theme perhaps, we have a few black them'ed roms already. Universal inbox is the biggest request I have and the stock lock screen with stock media player, these are all I need.
-smc

Oh and I like black themes . don't care much about themes tho.. simple = better IMO
nexus, or this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFMBfTlv5SA&feature=related
BUT WITHOUT the sound...
or just a simple black screen for the fastest start-up
i like the galaxy one better
appwidgetpicker
reboot in power options
if u can, make the ics lockscreen the main lockscreen (get rid of sliding door completely)
on the camera, which is better, the atrix or the 5.7? ive been using the 5.7 one lately
I personally think the 5.7 cam is way better, as soon as I loaded mav rom my camera is at least three times faster,

its an app that groups widgets...so instead of an app that lists, say 4 diff size widgets, itll be listed once, then by selecting it youll get all the choices

i thought so, but since some had mentioned it i wasnt sure
to everyone still using the atrix cam, try the new 5.7 cam. its very fast, WAY better than what we originally started with
Alright, so I am including the gnex boot ani, and notification widgets, and i will see if I could include the reboot options. I currently have the ics status bar working, it was very hard figuring out how to match the strings.xml with motorolas xml's, I will begin working hard on the rom tomorrow, today I am very busy

Oh..will you include GSM fix? It's not a big deal for me to change the value manually.. but it doesn't harm adding the fix at all! (turns off verizons trick to fake bad signal)

yeah, that GSM fix is good to have!
I threw this together and doesn't look too bad, but still much i plan on doing with it.
Youtube video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3ApvKE4u_w&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Download link here:http://gunnermike53.com/Themers/dsubs317/mario64.zip
If you want to try it out, download the file, open up a root file explorer, find mario64.zip and copy it. Navigate to \system\media and paste the file. Rename the preexisting bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip1. Now rename mario64.zip to bootanimation.zip. Reboot and check it out.
To come: smoother & longer animation, reduced file size, hopefully some sound, and once that is accomplished, i want to get the droid guy in there instead of Mario...

If your looking for custom boot animations, I highly recommend Absolute System Root Tools. It has a ton of custom boot animations that you can install on the Bionic. There are more than a 100 of them to choose from and you can install or download them for further editing.

Yes, absolute root tools is a nice app with tons of boot animations, but very few, if any, are displayed at 540x960. Therefore you are left with a boot animation that plays but doesn't fit the screen like it should.

I haven't had that problem with the ones I've used but your able to also download them, then edit them. All you have to do is extract the images and adjust their dimensions to your liking then add them back to the zip. May not be the perfect solution for everyone, but gives you many more options than we have.

I've been busy the past week with a few things but plan on getting the site updated shortly. So as of right now, no there's no screenshots but should have them up shortly. I can tell you that I know that at least 95% of them work fine. There are a few that I have not tested. If you feel up to it, test some out for me and let me know your findings.
