Assuming the device is seen by fastboot, you need to specify the path to the recovery img

have you unlocked ur bootloader to run fastboot commands?

Same opinion here, most likely the cause is the missing path to the file.

Just flash the 4EXT recovery image in FASTBOOT USB mode using the command:
fastboot flash recovery [path to the recovery.img file]
It is best to just copy the recovery.img file to the directory where you run FASTBOOT.exe from.

What you have described is normal for the downgrade script. Just try running the RUU now.

[Q] HELP after unrooting/S-off No boot

I was unrooting/locking bootloader/S-on'n in order to sell my One today. The process ran smoothly. I was preparing to use The RUU but I got an error that the version I am on is current. I should have ran it while I had S-off. I then flashed the firmware in fastboot using the fastboot oem rebootRUU and it flashed successfully. The phone will not boot past the HTC One logo screen nor can I access files through abd nor flash anything through fastboot. I can't even use any RUUs. I don't know what to do. Can someone please help me or direct me where I should look?

Flash the latest version of TWRP TWRP 2.6.3.0
easiest way in my opinion is through fastboot.
TWRP 2.6 - HTC One (Sprint USA) Download to your android SDK folder then open a comand prompt cd to your android sdk dir and type
fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img (Change recoveryfilename.img to whatevery the recovery.img name is).

i think you cannot use adb command on fastboot
adb can be used on recovery or on system rom only while on usb debugging
have your flashed a recovery? (fastboot flash recovery (recovery file name.img)

Exactly.
In fastboot the fastboot commands work, but not the adb ones.
Yea it sounds like your Recovery got wiped at some point. Grab a Custom Recovery .img (TWRP or CWM) and boot to fastboot (shown in your screenshot). Open a command prompt in your adb/fastboot directory, with the recovery image in the same directory, and enter the following:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery 'nameofrecovery'.img
Then reboot bootloader and try accessing recovery again.

[Solved] Unable to boot into TWRP recovery?

Hello,
I recently flashed the latest TWRP beta for the OxygenOS 4.0.1 on my phone which has an unlocked bootloader. I managed to boot into recovery immediately after flashing the .img through my PC, so that's how I was able to install my SuperSU.
However, since I booted into the OS, anytime I'm trying to enter the TRWP recovery again, I'm stuck in the stock recovery which doesn't let me install anything. So the only way for me to boot into TWRP recovery is using my PC. Can anybody help me to fix that?
Thanks!
What command are you using to install TWRP to your bootpartition?
I think the correct one is something like:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery (file name).img

Thanks for your reply! Exactly. And after installing it, I used the command 'fastboot boot TWRP.img", and that brought me into TWRP recovery. But I could only get there this way and still had the stock recovery.

From what I understand, the command 'fastboot boot twrp.img' will boot the specified recovery once, but won't flash it to the device. So it has nothing to do with the recovery that is actually on your device. Perhaps something went wrong when you actually flashed twrp and it wasn't written at all.

Thanks for both your replies. Yes, I did. An indicator is also that every time I boot up my system it even warns me that the bootloader is unlocked.

Well, I flashed the twrp by booting into fastboot mode and then typing 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img'. I don't know what's wrong there, so maybe you could help me out?

Unfortunately then I don't know how to help Because that's exactly what I did and I got TWRP running without any problem. If you flash via 'fastboot flash recovery' command will it be on the device after you reboot for the first time?
i remember, once i couldn't boot into recovery either when i used fastboot command. Then I flash recovery using tool below and it worked for me.

Apparently, you were right. I just wiped my device (accidentaly ) and flashed TWRP again, basically did the same steps as before, but now it works. Seems like somehow the installation of TWRP just failed on the first try. Thanks for your help!

Unlocked bootloader but I can't flash anything

I had unlocked bootoader for more than 1 year and didn't have any problem with it. But now for some reason I can't flash anything.
When I try to flash using TWRP i get ERROR 1. From recovery log:
Code:
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
I:Legacy property environment disabled.
and when i try adb (not only flash but other commands like fastboot oem device-info aswell)
Code:
FAILED <Remote: command not allowed>
Any idea how to fix this?

try to unlock again, and check what it say will you try to unlock.
.
Note: The only file system that works with fastboot is the file system that you extract from update.app, only!
But doesn´t work if you flash with twrp, for twrp is the file system that you pull from the phone.

When I created this topic all I had to do to fix this problem was unlocking bootloader again.
But few days ago this problem occured again and unlocking bootloader doesn't help.
It's a bug. REINSTALL default firmware it 3 buttons, let it turn on. Unlock boot again and flash twrp. If that does not work either your phone is damaged or you did something wrong in the middle.
