Because i know a Dev, that also made exactly the same one as your one...
His name on XDA is RockoDev he updates and make beats audio for almost any device.

What steps did you take to get this to work?

No Show
Me too, installed via CWM Recovery onmy N8000, No Show, No diff in sound.
Please advise.

Usually you have to have headphones plugged in for beats to work

yes, I made it. I created a script that can be installed in note 10. whereas for the content of the file. I chose beats from some files that I have. thank you. So I said I made ​​it.

here you can use any app that can play a sound equalizer. I am here only a select few file system only. I have not finished to port an apk to note 10. please be patient. Thank you

Method to install
I would requet you guys to make a nandroid or clockwork backup to be on the safe side
1)Download to root of SD Card
2)Flash zip through CWM

It works best with 4.x.x
I mean ICS+ so JB is YES
The DSP manager used is backported from CM10 to work on GB so in GB there can be few bugs
Anyway with 4.1.2/4.2.1 it works flawlessly

I uploaded the one that was still in my downloads folder. I have never flashed this myself tho.
This was the last version einstein.frat made if i remember it right

Upon rebooting to custom recovery, Select INSTALL ZIP package.

Apply the package.
Upon successfully installing, select REBOOT to SYSTEM, and you should be able to see the Viper4Android icon.
Soft press to run the Viper4Android app, and click on Yes.(on the right button)
And you should have it running

Has anyone actually used it and has some insights to share? Does it really improve the sound quality (I don't care for an equalizer as I don't use it anyway)? How does it compare to the stock "Hi-Fi mode"?
It appears that Note Pro is supposed to have great sound quality but so far I haven't been particularly impressed, at least with the built-in speaker. (Fortunately, the audio gets better when playing through the earphones or Bluetooth.)

Yes I used it a while back and it does improve it slightly but not a great deal. If I need to use an Equalizer I just use the one on my stereo
