Nexus Q App not compatible with my Note (Stunner)? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Before sinking $299 on a Nexus Q, I tried to install the Nexus Q app on my Note (running Stunner ICS) but the Play Store tells me "Your device isn't compatible with this version" and won't let me download it.
The description for the App starts with "The Nexus Q app runs on any Android phone or tablet running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) or later" so I suspect that the source of my trouble is my ROM.
Has anyone else tried to install this app to answer whether it installs on a stock Note?
Thanks!

Got the same problem on my uk 3g xoom running 3.2... I think it may not like some nonstandard roms
I've got a rooted a Galaxy Tab 7", my ROM is HumberOS (P1000L - latin w/TV), Gingerbread 2.3.3 and my Netflix works great. I'm not sure, but I've seen in the Market's comment that the problem is the ROM.

[Q] ICS - An error occurred while processing your purchase. Please try again later

Hi there, I recently upgrade my Galaxy I9000 to ICS 4.0.3. Now, when I try to buy an app in the market I get the following error "An error occurred while processing your purchase. Please try again later". I already cleaned the cache from the market app, but nothing happened, also tried to buy apps from https://market.android.com, but I get the same error. I sent an email to google and they said that since my phone is rooted they can not support me.
any idea what goes wrong ?
Thanks !
which RC are you on?
ICS rc 3.1 is known for its purchase from the market problem. you can either wait for the new rc4.1 or use the currently pulled version of rc4 or just use something else if you can not wait =)
Its known issue in onecosmic rom

Rooting & google play store question

hey guys,
ok, my 8.9 is rooted but i've not flashed any roms, still using default touchwiz that it shipped with as I just wanted root access for a few apps. I notice that my market app has not updated to google play store yet and I was wondering if this is because I am rooted? any rooted users got the update and using google play now?
Also, if or when we finally get ICS am I correct in thinking that I will have to unroot my tablet if I want to received the official ICS update from Samsung?
Cheers in advance!
Ross
I got the update on my phone but not the tablet, both rooted

Both my Galaxy s and 8.9 are rooted, running ICS ROM's and have the google play 'refresh'
I was on stock (UK) then flashed overcome 2.3.1.
Now back to stock unrooted and still got market icon.
My Xperia Ray updated ages ago.
I also had an issue with the market app "losing" apps that were installed on the device.
All in all not very impressed with Samsung's software.
Once the official ICS is out hopefully someone will de bloatware and mine will be getting flashed again.
i recently updated to 3.2 via OTA and now i cant boot into recovery mode im stuck at the bootloader, once i select stock recovery nothing happens.
thats great, thanks for all replies, looks like I'm not only one having some problems with this. I have seen the google play apk on the net so prob just end up grabbing that and installing manually, see if that works.
Can someone confirm, will I def need to go back to unrooted device in order to receive official ICS OTA from samsung?
I did a google search for the play store apk. Installed, wiped cache & data, restarted and it works fine.
Im rooted on both my phone and my tablet. Both got the update pretty quickly. What you can do to try and force the update is go into settings^applications^all applications and find market. Click uninstall updates. Reboot. Worked on my phone

I don't have the uninstall updates option. Still on 1.0.28

the market that ships with Honeycomb is different from the one in the phone and ICS.
Even the updates for the HC Market arrives via Market app update, instead of OTA.
When google releases the update for the HC Market, then we could have the play store on our stock 8.9.

send a mail to the devs. the latest few updates really made the app a lot worse.
kinda strange though because back on stock with my 7310 it worked fine...
the app is deleted from google play.
might be the reason for your problem?

I had the same issue. Something is missing from the CM12 based ROMs. Android Auto will work with the International version of the Vision team's ROM, but the ROM isn't stable. Random reboots, contacts FCing and battery pulls are common. I went back to my Nexus 5 for stable AA use.
