i don't know what CK saying..
i only know that he told that root not working.
but, i'm installing Root Explorer and work like a charm..
if you need to confirm anything regarding root...

This may answer your questions...
1. Softkey brightness is bright.. (i think it same with latest CK GB release)
2. What visual artifact?..like transition when install app? if yes that visual artifact is not there..
3. Unfortunately it still didn't have any support yet (need to wait MIUI for it)
i think overally rcset doing his best to develop this.
even he said that it is test ROM..but for me it can cover my daily needs...
i will stick in this rom for a while..
until new MIUI release..
EDIT : Haptic Feedback was very good..it's like CM9 and IceColdSandwich ROM..

I don't know how battery clock works .... from yesterday's 06.00 PM to today's 02.00 PM it calculated only 15 hours (actually it should be 20 hr)
for me everything was on like Data, GPS, auto-sync etc etc etc
using it with CK kernel ... good one :cyclops:

hi
i flashed this rom : MIUI42629-CM90630-A99
i dont seem to have the wall paper bug im able to change the same without any problem and the battery seems to be good
but when i call a contact with a photo the same photo keeps coming for all calls i make ie even if i call another with another photo to the contact i still get the same 1st pik for the call any workaround for this or is this the bug u are taking about

hopefully you can still improve the rom further...
Does the camera work with some app ?
yes with all camera apps >> use camera360, lg camera, camera zoom fx, camera pro and all may be the camera.apk needed to recompiled from source (i will update it when there a fix cm7 .35)
with old modules from .32 camera starts fine but as you manually focus or capture, camera fails to connect & this cant be corrected without full wipe

To compare battery backup fairly, you should first did calibration on each roms, and do fairly like how many and kind of installed apps.
Which rom is best? Depend on taste. Everyone has different taste, just like taste one food. Different people can has different opinion.
So... for the best think for you, you should taste them one by one , use each installed for about 2 days, Then decide which one is the best for you.

For me... my last miui gb port based on .35 kernel is still my best since it's very easy to use, good battery backup, no icv issue, no lag, but now I'm still evaluating abenagiel's MoKee, that rom seems promising. But it is only my 2 cents.
Best for you could be different, I don't know.

Rom was stable after tether fix no reboot for me in the 8 Hours i used it. I liked the mixed flavor of Xperia & ICS and expecially since it was made for my WellcoM A99's which have different radio hardware from all the other GSM X6 and variants... not sure about battery bro im not using this ROM anymore i only posted here on elol's request to share to the community. Already testing another unknown ICS.
DEV was rcset, hopefully he can google-translate his way in here and ask all your continuing queries

as i go to change the theme from theme chooser first it allowed me to change the theme but after that wile changin the theme its giving message like
" this theme was improperly compiled and can not be applied"

mokee is the best in looks with auro theme transparent like glass...
cm9 is also customizable and very smooth....
sharp also goood with stock..fully functioning
each rom has its best in it dude.

Bro I am on mokee Rom and I want to use this room but problem is I have delete mokee Rom files as of now I don't have any file reading mokee Rom , don't want to download again so any help for backup if don't like this Rom so again switch to mokee..

Friend,,,ROM comparison depending on yourself.your taste,and your usage.
As I know based from my experience,,,many ICS ROM is great,,but some app doesnt compatible and cant theming original ICS(i.e. Titaniumbackup give old UI/GB UI even it's ICS ROM)
So,,please try 1 by 1 and feel the differents byself
About battery life on ICS ROM,,not too good mate,,because we dont have fully kernel support for ICS ROM

take backup of current mokee in cwm recovery .u can roll back if u don like new rom.

Hey there!!Here I com with a new rom. In my opinion I got the key!! People spend their lifes arguing about what is better: GB..ICS..JB... Okay, Gb is quite smooth and stable. With ICS people has rised battery horizons, Jelly Bean, appart from Project Butter is famous for his clean, minimalist and smart interface. AOKP, CM... and other ROMS are known for their high customization, so... what to choose?
After thinking in a lot of things I have created a ROM where u cand find all that features. It is CM7.2 based, so it is gingerbread ande is highly customizable. It has a smoothness I had never seen in any GB/ICS ROM. Battery drain is quite quite good. I have stabilized it because people normally left this ROM because of the consumption. I have added ICS/JB appearance, since it is amazing. I have been thinking every aspect of the ROM: tweaks, apps, compatibility problems... and the result is amazing...

HOW TO INSTALL
1. Download ROM, extract boot.img and delete it (inside rom one...obviously lol)
2. Introduce it into the SDCard
3. Flash boot.img. Reboot
4. Go to recovery in first boot: wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, install zip from sdcard -> Select ROM
5. Reboot and enjoy

Camera bug - yah, camera is not working perfectly. There are some very good apps to make it work. Since I make pics with Cymera, I don't mind about it... but yes, it is a cm7 bug and Is not perfect.

this is official whitexp's cm7 rom for galaxy y without modifications ...........
but this works as i download it and edit build.prop..
u need to do one thing i.e.
just replace ur build.prop in rom.zip with the given one in attachments.....
and flashed it using the instructions given in 1st post by op
& it works...

+ auto rotation is not working
i think this is easiest port i ever had done......lol...
notification is laggy , and auto rotation not working ???

- ADW Launcher displays some icons in different color. But Holo Launcher working properly and displays proper color.

This is a great project for S5830i. Hope that the Essential functions may work on future builds. I'm always pleased to test and report.

Also, porting without permission and deleting it later if the author disagrees is like, say, growing weed in your garden and removing them if the police disagrees. You can't do that. It's his hard work, the least you could do is wait for his permission and respect his choice.

hmmn, sorry if i did not understood the bugs, but by "themes", does it mean that we cant apply themes on the rom as of now or there are just minor bugs when they are applied..sorry for bothering you..thnks dev!

"Shelld" is a new Chinese invention which is responsible for crashing of MiuiHome and Themes on our device. As of now themes doesn't work. But I'll provide a fix shortly.

Porting ics miui is not that simple since nexus family moved wid JB.
I keep trying though to get it working. I can port everything properly on ics taking mi-one as base, but then it is in vain coz the mobile network doesnt work.
I'll keep u posted if i get it working. For tutorial i'll pm u the link.
