10.1 the first to go wrong :(

Well it had to happen sometime .
installed 9.2 9.3 & 9.5 with no pros, but 10.1 has finally caught me out...
When it installed i noticed a lot of screen corruption....however i was not unduly worried, using screen / display memory as a storage area when alternate roms are being installed isnt new, so i was quite prepared...
Some time later 10.1 had installed, (a couple of reboots on the way.)
I went to put the phone into recovery mode, to enable lagfix etc...
and thats when it went pete tong.
The top half of the recovery screen is corrupted, and all the menus are garbled...
I know 1 is reboot, but as to the rest???? now i cant work out how to get to 9.5 to go back..
Any ideas

Have you got gingerbread bootloaders installed ?

I guess thats a no then,
However... according to the thread, 10.1 is an out of the box install,
no mention of any additional bootloaders
Oops ...just seen i do need some additional stuff ......doh ....
looks like its a oops ive semi bricked my phone time
I,m just seeing if i can work out how to get back to 9.5 buy working out which option it is
Unbricked ... found the bootloaders and started again

if you want to go back on froyo take the 9.2 darky resurrection and update then to 9.5 via CWM

[Q] trying to do a backup from ROM manager.

When the Galaxy tab reboots when trying to do anything from rom manager I get this screen. Its rooted with stock ROM. What does this screen mean? And how can I fix it?

can you mention which stock rom you have , what is your galaxy tab model ...
and why in earth someone use ROM manager it's not for the galaxy TAB ....

Its been rooted. Initially with z24root then re-rooted using superoneclick.
I got cm7 on my t-bolt as a daily driver so now its time to start getting my tab loaded up with some fun stuff.

Rom manager was not meant for the tab as is. You need to flash a proper recovery first.

UHG! I am so confused, ok, gonna do more reading... there are just so many differences in tabs and roms and kernels and bootloaders and flashes and ... ok, gonna try and figure it out.
at least i will stop spinning my wheels with rom manager... I guess I was confused because it has the option to flash clockworkmod recovery for my specific device Galaxy Tab - Verizon.
off to do some better research... throw a link or two at me if you feel so enticed as to throwing something

galaxy tab not responding at times

Hello, i have my tab for quite a while now and I've been having this issue for months now, at first it didnt bother me but at times it gets frustrating. The thing is whenever I am using my tab, suddenly the tab doesn't respond(particularly the touch screen) and I have to lock the tab and unlock it in order to fix it. I had this issue when i was in stock 2.2 then upgraded to stock 2.3 and still had the issue. I Decided to flash with overcome 4.0 and still the issue is there, I hope someone can help me with this..

Theres a new rom out called icontact its really good and better thsm factory.im on the sprint gt so not much for me to choose from

If you have upgraded and tried some custom ROMs and are still having these issues, I would look into faulty hardware.
But if you want to try another ROM and have a CDMA(VZW) GT check out this custom ROM. Runs smooth and is stable and pre-rooted.

How to unroot my galaxy tab P1000?

Hi,
i got a P1000 galaxy tab 7 and found out that it was rooted and had a non stock rom installed, i asked the seller and he said it was rooted through ODIN, i used ODIN 1.7 to install a europian rom, and all what i need now is to un-root the device,, how can i unroot the device?

Why would you do that? Now you can use Titanium backup which is a very handy tool. If i need to unroot my tab i use oneclickroot. You can use oneclickroot for rooting and unrooting your tab. Look on the shortfuse.org site for download. And dont forget to donate if the script worked for you.

hello guys,
i have a galaxy tab p1000, which i recently rooted n installed (following some videos n how-tos from the google). everything seems to work fine but everytime i turn on my device the samsung animation starts and finishes and only then the animation sound occours(which was supposed to happen with the animation).
i am very new to these rooting, kernel, cwm, cm 9, firmware etc. could you please help me fix my animation and sound thing again? should i try rooting it again? is there any rom that is TRUELY stable with no bugs. my tab is GSM. ive attached the screen shot of my device's info.
ild be very thank ful if anyone could help me..

You can try re-rooting again. so far mine didn't have that problem. I suggest you to use overcome kernel its nice and smooth..

Touch screen of P1000N not working after ICS Rom upgrade

Hi all,
I just flash ICS ROM cm9.0.0-p1n on my Galaxy Tab P1000N, but now the touch screen is not working. I've installed others ICS ROMs with the same outcome, and when I go to stock ROM touch screen works again. I have read that might be a problem with the touch screen driver but I haven't found a solution.
I can go to recovery and download mode but I was wondering if there is a way to fix this without having to flash stock ROM again.

Are you sure you flashed the correct kernel

At first I flashed the wrong kernel (p1000) and then I flashed the right one after that, big mistake! I had to return to stock and then flashed the p1000n kernel and is working fine now.
