Just because app brings support for the 4.1 why would that mean the notes getting it?
There are plenty of threads talking about jellybean, the answer is simple so far no word from Samsung they have only confirmed that he S3 will get it.
However its very likely there will be ports and once CM10 starts (when jellybeans source is dropped) Its likely that will come to us to

It's gotta start with a J to follow the naming convention they've been doing.
i heard from somewhere its jellybean
Any guesses as to what the next one will be?
Karamel? Kit-kat?
A google insider told me the next name is 'Jaszek'
I heard its jelly bean and it will be for both phone and tablets because they just spent a lot of effort trying to fix that fragmentation with ics so i don't think they're gonna make another device specific version

So there is another app other than S Beam that will work the same? My gf has the SGS3 and I was wondering what else would be compatible? I have the GT-P3113
Nope. That's NFC. The tab doesn't have it... that's hardware

[Q] Galaxy Note II JB rom port ?

hey guyez ..
i was thinking .. since the note 2 is out
can the developers port the Galaxy note 2 JB rom to the note 1 ?
cuz if they can .. then we will have faster TW rom i think ..
Im wondering if this is possible. IT would just be awesome to have at least some of all the new features the note 2 got (stylus and note). Please could just someone try it
+1
Yes pls. I'm hoping someone's already started.:good:
Different hardware entirely, so no, it cannot be ported. We need s2 sources which will probably be out the same time as the notes.

Friends,
Check this out.. basically discussions on porting Multi Window feature from SGN2 but interesting :good:

That is purely developer thread so refrain from posting if you are not confident. But one can learn a lot just by reading posts in discussion.

RDF Discussion Thread for Sprint Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720)

This was done over on the Samsung Galaxy S3 threads by rwilco12 . I saw that we didn't have anything like it over here on the Galaxy S4 threads so I took a guess and found the RDF for the S4.
For more info check his thread over on the S3 forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117229
Thanks rwilco12!!
Here is the S4 RDF latest entry...
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-L720/latest
you have to use Internet Explorer to view an RDF. For whatever reason it will only display correctly in Internet Explorer.
It shows that L720VPUAMC5 is the current version of the S4 ROM being tested.
Enjoy!!

And the odd thing is I don't see that one posted nor can I find it.
It's like the L900 - can't find it using the old convention.

Same here! I was gonna create one myself but good thing I searched first and found this... it's been so dead that's why I didn't even know there was one haha. The S3 RDF thread was monstrous!

The rdf's are notorious for having incorrect info in them but if it is truly mc5 than it is old. Mc5 would be March 5th. And we have mf9 which is June 9th. But again you almost never know what to expect from the rdf.

The same reason the people who are using the leak!
I don't see why it would be that hard since most of the stuff we get comes from the i9300.
I have even seen a port from the i7105 for ours.
I would do it if I knew what I was doing.

Somebody with some spare time should try to port it with the guide that audism has written!
Im just wondering if s3 will not get air gesture features because of lack in RAM, will our i9305 get it? Because it has twice ram as i9300. Just asking.
I9300/I9305 are actually lacking some hardware compared to the S4 like the 2 infra-red sensors around the top speaker.
I don't know about Sammy releases, but AOSP ROMs are available in a number of flavours. Just head over to the Android Dev forum...

Well that's what I heard in the problem. I mean I see the devs making ports of all sorts but not this leak which would be so awesome if they could!

Porting a kernel is hard! That is probably why it haven't happend!
