Great! This is exactly what I needed because I cant post to the dev forums yet.
I have a question about the battery stats: I changed the CPU governor to "Ondemand" and whenever i check my battery stats it shows the phone is awake at all time (even when locked ). Sometimes my battery will drain for no apparent reason ( I was drained 10% in 1 hour even though phone was locked all time ), but not too often.
Did anyone else experience such troubles?

Thats due to wakelocks. There are still a lot of bugs, which seem to keep the phone alive. But maybe you also got an incompatible app, check with betterbatterystats, then you ll see, if it's an app or android processes, that keep the phone awake

Sim Lock Security
Partial GSM
2G/3G
Hardware Acceleration
But this port of Cm9: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613678
works GSM , vibration, and i think sim security..
Its impossible to port those things that work to this rom?

These are both versions of cm9 so it should work. The main problem with our version of cm9 is the kernel. If we could import the kernel from this rom to the Free Optimus Project's rom, it might work. Someone should suggest this.

settings > location & security settings > setup SIM card lock > untick the lock sim card

No it is not, but we all also have private lifes, hope you guys understand this furthermore, redy is trying to compile a new kernel, which might fix some bug and the bugs remaining, are simply hard to fix. For vibration, you can simply open the zip, add cm7 kernel, patch the market bug, repack, add boot.img to your zip, repack and resign this and then flash the new version if you have problems, in doing so, ask here and i ll help, if i have time

Not ignorant at all ok take build 2a, open it with 7 zip and add the boot.img of faradox build to the 2a zip (replace the old one). Then look for a .zip ROM signer ans sign your ROM. Test whats working I first need to look up the changes made by tantrums, to make market work, but i think it should be in init.rc in the ramdisk of boot.img just keep asking, if you need more help :-D

everytime i check an app's info, to stop it or uninstall it , system reboots

The same for all of us , but only from System settings/Apps, you can uninstall apps from louncher (Nova Launcher for ex.) or other program with apps manager

Android System Info reboots either. I'm using Total Commander - works as it should.

Hum... what don't let some apps running ? I mean : for example Busybox Installer FC directly and ZArchiver either (well I didn't try all apps existing lol).

How to Uninstall DSP ? please guide me completely.

2 ways
either delete from the rom and flash it
or
remove from system/app using root explorer
EDIT : Can anyone guide me with the link of latest 2.3.7 MIUI ROM so that I can port the same.
I have ported some but they don't have even reboot to recovery option

even you can use titanium backup to uninstall the same.

Try porting from this link. This is was for Desire HD using the latest MIUI GB.

Can anyone comment on the speed of this Rom compared to blackice. Also on battery and gaming capabilities. Graphics n multitasking plus what works and what don't.
Also comments on stability compare to other stable roms.

Use root uninstaller from market, but DSP is work fine for me, only wifi tethering doesn't work..

Is it possible to change the transition effect to another one.
Also tanuj, can we use another build prop for another Rom to use with this Rom as the one on this Rom is almost the same with blackice hence the similar bugs n problems inherited from blackice.
Also I can't see the power widget on my notification bar.

We can but only with some modification if required.
I am using the base edowar rom for porting every rom and using the same build prop with some modification.
In this rom I have used the build prop by Zuk of his ligux rom
Ideally we used use the build prop of rom to be ported and modify it accordingly.
Reboots are caused due to reason AS i am using same base and build propin every rom except 1 or 2 rom.
I am trying to figure out the same in every rom
EDIT : don't think every bug is due to build prop. I am a newbie so still don't know the reasons for various bugs but this build prop is for same rom so therefore no one has report reboots ( base is same edowar's rom)

Didn't mention anything about reboot, the Rom is very stable n fast and your doing a very fantastic job.
Was just trying to suggest if its the build prop preventing WiFi access point, torch n other tools from working.
How can I. Change the transition effect too if its possible.
Hope am not asking for too much.

No no You are not asking for much
I think there is no option to change transition effect
I am mentioning about reboots in other roms while no one reported in this one so this is a great victory

Phone Off
after 2 day i try this rom, my phone turn off when locking, can't turn on and u must open the battery first and turn on again...

Maybe we do not have any build from CM team because they said:

I am so sad about that.

I'm using 20121212 gapps. Also strange behaviour on keyboard. Always slided out after typing a word. Anyone else please confirm

Pls use the correct gapps 4.1 and 4.2 are diff.

If u are gonna use a large gapps yes u need to. Large gapps toke mine system up ro 374m

please help me out.. so /system partition has to be changed manually for 10.1 ? i mean i'm using old partition on CM10

it just means this will be the last time CM gives us support for this phone. CM10.1 will be the last time for the p990

Wifi not working here either. Nice to see the file manager defaulting to external SD card.

Except for wifi, anything else not working??? Please give some details as to what is working and what not..
Also is there any call bug here??

soon to report about call bug. but i can confir marsgod fix included as official into the CM repository fixes de call bug. and cm10.1 is using this fix. so i think no call bug....

Came across the way to enable developer mode in another thread.
Settings->About Phone-> Tap on Build number 7 times. This will enable Developer options.
hope this helps!

I have updated from the last CM10 nightly. I had to update gapps as well. After the update, it seems everything works except the Terminal application, which is force closes.
- Wifi works
- Panorama works
- I had to reinstall all gapps (Gmail, Maps, Currents, etc) to solve FCs.
So far so good.

Try changing region code in the advanced wifi settings

- update from cm10.0 to cm10.1 -> wifi not working
- clean install for cm10.1 -> wifi working, wifi-3g-wifi transition working, camera working (need to test flash...)
need to know how to choose between PTP, MTP or USB Storage. any idea?

Does the kernel compiled by tonyp work on cm10.1? Wifi drain really bothers me, is it worth upgrade to cm10.1 now? Or stay my current cm10, any major problems?

Nice rom so far. Love those greys. But found small bug. Take a look at the Google now app. Its has major graphical glitches more update will come soon.

There is a major problem. The current version. It seems this ROM is not establishing any network. I thought it was at my end. Tried to install this from past 3 days but exact same problem. There is always unknown baseband in About phone menu. See screenshot. Please see through.

redownload rom and try. i just uploaded fixed rom and flashed on two phones and is working i belive there was a problem with phone.apk that was giving this problem. let me know if it is fixed or not

do you really name it DARNESS_[4.2.2]_CM10.1_V1.0?? missing k here (in build number)... without this k everything will be a mess..... k is very important you know...
ps: nevermind me...just boring waiting for it to download. thanks for the rom.

Didn't even notice that the whole ROM may fall apart hahaha will pay more attention in following builds

Hi, here is my MIUIv5-3.5.3 ported from HTC touch HD2 following @rcset tutorial
Everything works as it is.
Minor modification of build prop
EGL libs updated
Themes not checked, i guess it should work if you follow FR's theme installing procedure in rcsets thread (The system theme it self is beautiful)
MIUI camera is retained. it shows black screen for the first time just change the resolution to 2048*1536 in the settings
MIUI video recording force stop problem, recording should work with third party apps

@rockakhtar : since i used base as rcsets miui. we should ask him which cm10 rom he used as base rom.
note : i guess keyboard(baidu) in the uploaded rom is in chinese(i'm not sure coz i don't know chinese).
to change it to english click an second button from bottom left. this is for your info guys

Missing Additional settings like enable SWAP, Tweak Memory Manage & Power Manage. These options exists on RCset & FR MIUI V5 roms.

how to install
1. if the previous rom is MIUIv5 just install on top of that without data wipe.
2. if the previous rom is CM10 factory wipe is recomended.
3. if the previous rom is .32 kernel upgrade it to .35 and flash
everything which works in cm10 is working in this rom also
this is just a plain port. i have not done any mode. i want you guys to mod yourself and let us know if u have a +ve results
