Problem with KDZ? Read this...

Hello
My p970 always lost connections when i try to put a v10C through KDZ using the method in this forum
But i tried the usual update by LG Update and i've flashed the original rom (vodafone v10b) but when i tried to flash v10c KDZ alwys shows not responding and a window of error appears to shut down the program
anyone can help me? if i do by kdz/lgupdate it lost connection at 7%, if i use kdz only always shows not responding

The name of the firmware file has the original name or you renamed it? If renamed, bring originalnoge name.

Hi I have the same problem. How did you renamed the name of KDZ? What format of name has to be?

Here is a list of firmware with their original names. http://luivit.altervista.org/firmwareP970/
Usually they have the format V10C_00.kdz or V10A_00.kdz depending on the version.

Ok renaming the KDZ file helped and I successfully flashed European V10E. Thanks a lot.

omg it worked for me too... I was renaming all my kdz files after downloading them. Now I can flash.

Got my phone back! Thank you guys! I renamed KDZ file into V10A_00.kdz! Works! Thank you again! I won't have to go to LG service center hahaha

I'm also from Philippines and firmware version here (in default) is V10A. And is also based in the firmware list.
What if I want my firmware to be V10E, is it okay to flash it using V10E directly?
Or I have to flash V10A first then flash V10E?
Ideas would be of great help! Thanks!
Edit: Actually, I flashed Nova v8 and I want to go back to stock ROM. Is it okay to directly flash these firmwares?

You could have made a nandroid backup via CWM before flashing NOVA. It could have been easier to restore the backup.
Anyway, if you want, flash it via KDZ and download the .kdz firmware. Or, via LG Mobile update.

Yup. I've made a backup before flashing NOVA. But I've never tried to restore that backup and I want a fresh copy of stock ROM.
I've just flash it to V10a last night. For me it is still better than Nova.

Nah, v10A is alpha. Though V10E is hard to root, it's still rootable. Plus it fixes bugs like the 720p video. My advice, flash the quasar kernel if you like the stock ROM. So you could atleast use the governors like interactiveX for battery life.

Yup. Its alpha, I just compared V10A and Nova ROM.

What firmware are you on currently (XXKPE/XXKPH) ?
What firmware do you want to flash ?
Where did you download this spt file ?
Also - renaming a file from spt to md5 wont work !

i cant flash with odin,i know file types must be .tar.md5

If Samfirmware - http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9003.htm does not have it - it does NOT exist

The files are for CyConsole, don't get into that...
Download a firmware compatible with Odin (tar, tar.md5, img, etc)

Are you 100% sure that JVKD1 is what you were initially on ??
Samfirmware has EVERY ROM and it lists I9003JPKD1 as one of the ROM.
I will suggest you to use JPKD1 once and then try to connect to Kies.
After connecting to Kies, If Kies gives you the option to upgrade to any other ROM (JPKE1,JVKP5 etc) - you are good to go and you phone will be within warranty.

[Q] S5830m baseband (Modem) file needed

Hello,
After an update via recovery to another firmware, I discovered that i made a big mistake. I updated my Galaxy Ace S5830m to another baseband which caused it to not detect any signal or carrier.
Please I need the baseband (modem) flash file to recover it. The baseband file number is S5830mwhla1.
I wish that anybody serves me as soon as possible.

As much as I know there are p3100, p3110 and p3113. I think a read somewhere that the last two are for Europe and USA. The first one is 3G.
Is there a way to find out are these two the same? Will I be able to install stock rom because mine is some other one as u can c from picture? I'm not that good in these thing,(I know how to flash that's all) maybe some adb command

Is there a way you could share your rom with me? This is the original stock rom version I had on my tab 2, but flashed over it without backing up.

Where please can I find the stock rom? Also, can I use 3 series Odin or do I need to get 1.85 or 1.87?

Just received an OTA update on my 3113, but could not install it as it does not work with CWM recovery.
Based on the info message, it's 4.0.4 based + some app updates.
Base on the files inside the update, version should be P3113UEBLG2.

(I think) if your not rooted the ota update should self install. You can't flash an ota through CWM but can through Odin.

Xavier, did you use an official version or a leaked one?
Try the official one. You can choose euro_open or portuguese-
Flash with LGFlash tool, you know the procedure

Is your bootloader unlocked and CWM/unsecure boot installed? A lot of people (including me) flashed the wrong unsecure boot image and it caused wifi to stop working. Here's the fix if that's what happened to you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39918805&postcount=428

Unlock is not related with Firmware, the phone ID/IMEI rules on that...
But you can flash the official euro_open (579MB) and root it.
If you won't have unlocked bootloader, consequently no CWM but, there are no custom ROMs based on new kernel, soo...
You don't loose a lot.

Maybe your phone is a developer phone ? ( NOT FOR SALE)
I've only tryed V20A euro open.
Tomorrow i'll try portugal rom.
