bootloop - LG Optimus 2x

hey guys,
i just have a question in regards to ril installation. im currently using 0823 BB then i switch to 0725 BB. everytime i switch BB, i use getril to install new ril. after ril installation, i reboot the phone and voila... bootloop. any rom i use even cm7 or cm9. is still does the same. i tried to wipe dalvic, wipe cache partition, even factory reset, still on boot loop. the only way to stop that is to install new bb, then install a rom then not to intall new ril.
does anyone experiencing this?

Never had such a problem but have you tried to flash an RIL with CWM ?
I just use this app for RIL's and works great..

Yes, in fact this is the only issue i have had for real on o2x, i have tried it all and close to solve it, some coffe and check if all permissions are equal, then nvflash froyo rom and update to 20s using official update or kdz update in private. I will let you know, and if you already solved it post solution please btw, if you remember; what exactly did you do before this occured. For me I was trying a cm based rom and changed to su baseband at the same time......ooooohhh, gotta check if my imei have disseapeared too just in case.

I have simillliar problems. When I switch ril with GetRIL I end up in a bootloop an need to flash rom again to get back default RIL (this is why you should tick "Keep RIL after ROM flash"). I updated to latest busybox and the problem seems to have vanished. Maybe try that
Edit: That wasn't it...

[Q] MIUI crashes when I call someone!

I recently flashed the latest version of MIUI, which is v6(tried up to v6.13.1 as well) and every time I try calling someone, the phone hangs for a few seconds, then reboots back to the MIUI loading.
what's wrong? up to version 5.31 the rom worked just fine and I couldn't find anyone with a similar issue on the official post.
please help?
phone in question is i9000, note that SMS and incoming calls work fine.
try this
goto recovery and wipe
1) system
2) data
3) cache
4) datadata
now flash the rom and reboot.

Already did that.. also tried older versions but the problem persists.
I am now on cm7 and it's working fine but I really prefer MIUI so I could really use the help!
Flash Froyo and try again
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
so I just flashed back to froyo and from there I flashed MIUI again(1.6.15) and the problem is still there!
maybe it's because of app issues? when I reset the phone back to factory and my MIUI is empty, it works fine. but as I install apps (bear in mind I tried only installing the essential apps that I really need) it seems to make the problem reappear.
what the?
what apps do you install ?

Error after flashing baseband 622 can not boot

Hi guys, just flashed 622 baseband with appropriate RIL and now I cant boot...
Here is what I did:
1) Turned phone off, flashed baseband file, it went ok
2) Booted into recovery, restored my CM7 backup and then flashed RIL - success
3) Rebooted phone - getting stuck at LG logo, nothing happens.
Any ideas? Thanks
EDIT:
Hmm, after wiping data, cache and installing plain rom again it booted... Although new clean rom smells fresh, I'd like to get my backup back on and rolling
EDIT2:
Okay booted again, the key was to restore backup and then flash CM7 nightly over it
DELETE PLEASE

Glad you figured it out. Yes, you have to flash the CM7 again after you have restored from backup, before booting up.

That shouldn't really be necessary unless you're using a defective version of CWM. Some versions didn't restore the boot image properly, which is why you needed to flash it again.

I always do it, just to be on the safe side. Just another couple of mins anyway.

so, 3.2.0.1 is the most stable and safe at the moment and should not have this issue? want to upgrade to 0622 soon so would be nice to know.
3.2.0.0 upwards doesn't have that problem. I'm happy with 4.0.0.5 though, I like to have the latest.

The 4.0.0.5 got a bug. It wont format /system I think, becouse when I installed CM7 over my old FR17 I got FC on many LG apps and services (which isn't in CM ). And yes, I did wipe, but it doesn't matter becouse that's only /data .. It worked with manual format through Advanced menu and then flash rom, but that shouldn't be necessary..
Yes and no, early 4.0.0.5 does that, the later version of it is fixed.

[Q]Hard Bricked Help

Hello, I've recently tried installing Topogigi's ICS v30a ROM from ParanoidAndroid. During the process, I've upgraded CWM to 6.0.1.2 and performed a full dalvik, cache and data wipe on my phone. I first tried installing Topogigi's ICS v30a ROM using an earlier version of CWM without any success however after upgrading to a newer version of CWM and installing the rom, my phone appears to be hard bricked. Once I turn on the phone, the LG logo appears and then it shuts down within seconds. Entering recovery mode only gives me a blank screen. Any ideas?
EDIT: got it fixed by installing a new baseband thing (don't fully understand it 3 using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008070
EDIT: Can't get the new custom rom to install, tried deleting all the data from paranoid android and it still boots up as paranoid android. Please help!
you best bet is to do a full NVflash install then update using CWM,
try this following directions in the OP, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007968
then update using topo's V30a.
the NVflash is a unbrickable solution. make sure you install the drivers for the phone you can get them in this pack http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975274&highlight=apx+drivers
then do the directions in Topo's OP and you should be running a pretty decent version of V30a.
let me know if you get stuck anywhere.
Hello necrowakker,
Thanks for your help, I've installed nvflash however I haven't a clue how to flash this rom using nvflash. I can't find the .bat file inside, only a boot.img and system.img file. I've downloaded version 1.1 of topogigi's rom and tried flashing with CWM 6.0.1.5 after doing a full data, cache and dalvik wipe but without any success.
Thanks again for your help!

[Q] No IMEI after flashing custom ROM

I have read almost all comments and advices but haven't found any working solution.
I started to play with Cyanogenmod ROMs on my Galaxy S I9000. I flashed CM 10.2.1 first and it worked fine. Then I tried to upgrade to CM 11 SNAPSHOT M4, everything fine. I switched back to CM 10.2.1 and repeated going there and back several times. Everything went fine until the phone did not connect to network after flashing CM11 and IMEI was "unknown".
I think I have tried all possible steps I found on the Internet (recovering EFS folder, going back to original firmware etc.), but I am lost in a cycle - I can flash original FROYO (2.2) with repartitioning, and connection to network is fine, IMEI is ok. I can upgrade it to the latest official version using Kies, IMEI ok. I root phone using CWM, everything fine. I flash custom firmware - no connection to network, IMEI lost. I always wipe cache etc between flashes.
Sometimes the lost IMEI reappears when I connect phone to the computer using USB cable, but it is lost again when I reboot. The phone also shows some minor issues like rebooting instead of turning off, showing battery icon when trying to turn it on etc.
Any idea what can cause this behavior?
Thank you!
Did you also wipe system when going back to stock rom? if not then do full wipe including system wipe.
EDIT: flash stock gingerbread 2.3.6 then start from there.

Yes, I always run wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and format /system before flashing custom system.
The phone behaves the same if I flash Gingerberad directly or if I flash Froyo first and then upgrade it to Gingerbread using Kies. The only difference is that flashing Froyo is ok, but flashing Gingerbread with Odin complains about missing dbdata and I have to repair it (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184403).
