Hello. Imma noob here.
Now my question is.. how to enable a2sd on GDX?
Sent from my E15i using xda premium.
What's my phone status?
Bootloader : Unlocked
Android : 2.3.7
Baseband : ~015
Kernel : Alfs v08a
ROM : GingerDX
Build : v028b

If i understood what you ask is this
if you want to move each application separately : settings-applications-manage app and press the app you want and choose phone or card
if you want all apps that you install : settings-cmodsettings-application-tick on allow app.. and choose install location
hope i help!:fingers-crossed:

You need to go to cm settings, application , install location and select sd card. Or you can just move the apps

[Q] gingerdx - xrecovery?

Hello,
I use gingerDX v13 on my X8 phone.
When i reboot, i now have allways the choise for rebooting, xrecovery and clockworkmod.
I was using xrevovery before, and i don't know if it's better to stick with it, or that i should use clockworkmod.
I did some reading, but didn't found any straight comparision...
What is your opinions?
tx!
They're both important. To install gingerdx v013 and below, u can only use xrecovery. Bt starting from v14 and above, daioxanh says u need to use clockwork mod
Sent from my X8 running on GingerDX via XDA APP
both Xrecovery and clockwork mod have different update script, thats just what i know..
You need em both, and for things like full wipe or cache wipe there's no difference in which one u use...

Step to upgrade x8 to GingerDX v025 + ALF kernel

Hi guys, can you show your step to upgrade x8?
Because I don't know whether my step is correct or not.
Thanks guys!
My step as following...
1.Root
2.install busybox
3.install xrecovery
4.unlock bootloader
-check with s1tools
-run msm7227_semc.cmd with debugging
5.flash kernel with flash tools
6.flash GingerDX v013
7.flash GingerDX v025
any miss step?
Dude i think superoneclick will install busy box by itself and if you unlock your bootloader after root and flash new kernel then you don't need to install x recovery just flash the rom.
Press thanks if i helped

Look...
I DO NOT troll people with talk of MiniCM9.
Especially not a beginner.
I do use MiniCM9 as my primary rom, but choices are choices and if one wants help on how to peel apples, don't give help on how to peel oranges.

First of all, go to Settings > info and check if your baseband ends with 015. If not, update with PC Companion.

It's a adb type software which you have to install on your computer.
Using this you can root , flash CWM/xRecovery etc on your X8 just by connecting it with your PC.
Follow this link --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100
Why install ver 13 and 25? Just install ver 26 and alfs GDX kernel and ur good to go
Do you read any post before you post?....facepalm
I don't think he has any problem now, as long as he didn't tell us anything more.....

EDIT: Found an answer elsewhere. Sorry again.
New guy here
Sorry for reviving this but would I be ok if I upgraded from v19 to v026 without any further steps. Or would a clean install be better?

are you already unlock bootloader or your using stuck?
and hope your x8 can unlock bootloader.

Re-install GDX.
Then flash the superuser zip from the rom thread through CWM.
I don't suggest overclock,if you want big difference in performance you better buy a new phone...but if you want it that much, try it

If you followed every step and nothing helps then try an older version and see if it is booting
Recovery says it installed correctly see log here
Should I try another version of kernel
Sent from my E15i using xda app-developers app
try alfs kernel
After flashing SDE via Flashtool, it applies a custom SDE version of nAa 14 which doesn't work properly with any other ROM. So after you're going on another ROM, flash stock 2.1 firmware and then nAa 14. You don't need root in order to flash nAa 14 from fresh 2.1
