OK, So It shipped from Adorama! (No Nans)

Sorry if this should be in another thread but I think it is important to know as some people may have done what I did...
So I ordered through the Play store when the Nexus first went up on the 27th and I got the 8Gb. At this point, I still have received no communication or final charge from Google. So that sucks!
Anyway, today I saw the Verge post about Adorama getting stock so I figured I take a flyer and place an order for a 16Gb (which is probably better to have than just the 8Gb) and choose overnight shipping - which was like $27 but there was no tax because Adorama is an NY Co and I am in PA. I emailed them to ask if there was any chance it would ship today and I would get it tomorrow, but I never received a reply from their customer service.
I did, however, receive an email that (I think) they sent to everyone who ordered online saying that the Nexus 7 was backordered for 10-14 days and I could cancel, or wait and not be charged until it shipped etc. Well I paid via Google checkout and I was charged immediately after the order and the charge was never removed.
So I figured I would give until tomorrow to see if I hear back from them, so I haven't cancelled the order.
So finally a few moments ago I went to the Adorama site to check on my order status and to my surprise it has SHIPPED! They attached a tracking number and the package is already in route in NJ and should be hear by tomorrow at 10:30AM!!!
What is weird is that I have received no email from Adorama with the tracking info nor has my google checkout (wallet) been updated with the tracking info - it still says "order not shipped."
The moral of the story: If you ordered from Adorama check your order on their website ASAP. And it is every possible that Google Play orders may be shipped already but the Google Wallet info has not been updated.

and now I have received and email confirmation from Adorama and by Google Checkout has been updated with the tracking. So it is all going smoothly.... as of now.

Same thing here says it shipped. I will have it by 10:30 am tomorrow....

crap. I wish I did overnight shipping. placed my order today and tracking says it's at NJ too! that's amazing. only thing is that I did standard shipping and I'm out of town sunday... agh!!

All Nexus 7 tabs will get the $25 credit no matter where you get it, but ONLY the first gmail account that logs into will get the credit.

I'm very tempted to cancel my order and get this right now. I have to play an extra $25 for tax cause google is located in california on top of the unexpected 50$ price jump to for the 16gb and I still haven't recieved anything from them eventhough i ordered on the 27th.

staples.com has them with free three day shipping. There's a sticky at the top about other stores selling the tablet.

Office Depot is still holding them and won't start selling next week I think. Use the link I posted you can use their free item coupon as well. I got the $15 gas card.

Try your local Samsclub. I preordered from Google Play and mine has shipped but I got a little over anxious and pulled the trigger on the one at Sams

I just picked up mine from my local sams club. They only had 16gb however.

Picked mine up today at Sam's club...i didn't want to wait on my Google preorder. I'll be giving the other to my gf.

Lol. I did exactly what you did today. Just got the last one from my local Sam's. The pre-order from Google Play is taking too long. I'll probably sell it on eBay once it arrives.

Picked mine up from Office Depot today. Love this thing.

Shipment coming Monday possibly Tuesday

Well I got my shipping info yesterday, and have yet to receive any update on ups of it being actually shipped.
So I call ups and asked what was going on, and why would they say delivery date of the 16th if I have seen it ship yet.
The rep said once it ships the delivery date will update to most likely to Tuesday.
Sorry to bring bad news but I just wanted to give a heads up.

I am pissed I could have bought it from Sam club cheaper and no shipping cost. I wish Google would have said retail stores would have it same time. This makes we want to dump Google and go to Apple and iOS full time.

Don't be so dramatic. Ordering from Google didn't guarantee that you get yours before anyone else. If you're getting angry over having to wait a couple of extra days, then Android is probably better off without you.
(For the record, I'm still likely to get mine even later than you get yours)

I ordered way back on the 27th from the Play store but still ran out yesterday and picked one up from a b+m store anyways. Wanted to be able to play with it over the weekend. When mine comes from Play, I'll either return this one or sell it to a buddy.
It will be worth the wait, I can assure you. This thing is all sorts of amazing.

I don't mind the wait that doesn't upset me I am upset because if they had stated retail stores would have it same week I would have bought it from there and saved shipping costs even if it was same price and now Sams club has it 20 bucks cheaper and with tax that is 40 bucks or so off.

Agreed its pretty sweet. Mine shipped Friday but I went to Sam's club and picked up another so now the GF gets one when it arrives

Google could screw up 100 times over and I still would not jump over to Apple. Yes I'm pissed that I pre-ordered early from the Play store and yes GameStop pre-orders are already in their grubby hands but I will have my tablet by mid next week. Do I want to trade a few days waiting or jump over to sue happy Apple? Apple would rather kill everyone then release new/better products. The next iPhone will have the same design for 2 years minimum and the same screen size for another 5 years. And I'm not giving those bastards 30% of my app purchases just to blow it in the court room. I sold my iPad 3 two weeks ago and I have no regrets in doing so.

There's absolutely no need for yet another thread about orders/deliveries - there are stickies where you can discuss such matters.

If you would have looked more carefully, you'd see DROID - Life put the link in the article, and the auction ended at $105. Whether he gets paid is yet to be seen.

Deeeeefinitely not worth the price tag. I would say keep it in the box until they become available, but due to most 30 day polices and all these defects, I'd just as soon hold off on purchasing the device until it's all available at once like it should have been from the beginning.

Well, it definitely wasn't a mistake.. and both sites indicated that this particular promo would be running up through December 7th. They must be experiencing some kinda glitch or problem with their system. Maybe "Pre-Black Friday" systems overload...lol

Dammit, if I had only waited two more days before buying one...

In all reality, 6 bucks did not go a long ways for me. Their movie selection wasn't that good and it cost me $6 to watch a semi new release in HD. Definitely not worth it unless you have a promo code.
