{PRO} Model Number Re-branding for MK16a - Xperia Arc Android Development

Most custom ROMs for Xperia Pro are done based on the MK16i variant. To be true, there isn't any difference or any issues in that, only some of us (like myself, who are interested in the minute details) owning an MK16a would like the branding to be so, in custom ROMs as well. Here is a flashable zip which will basically mod build.prop file to change all instances of MK16i to MK16a. Thus, your MK16a device will say so even after flashing a custom ROM.
Installation Instructions
1. Download and copy zip file to SD card
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Choose install zip from SD card, select zip and flash .
4. Reboot!

Well .tft are in fact zip files with different extension
It's possible that browser "detected" it as zip and changed extension by itself
Something for Neo ?

If you not understand yet..
This is part of a stock rom that exist on system, but this is not a full rom, just application and framework file that is in the app folder and framework folder.
I only give the option to user to be easy to create a theme or porting apps. also wider compatibility for mod like systemui mod, and other apks to your device

I did not edit at all of these files, this is purely the result of deodex
When you flashing this file, don't forget to mount system before flashing.. And make sure your recovery is CWM on first post (link).
But if still problem, maybe file is corrupt, try to download again

[Q] Port Z1 Firmware on Xperia SP

(I'm not english, I'm sorry if there's some error)
Hello XDA community,
I'm trying to install the Xperia Z1 compact 4.4.4 firmware on my xperia SP. Naturally if I try to install it using flashtool (I've downladed the firmware from the official sony site) the installation doesn't work. So I've tried to create a flashable zip. I extract the system.sin from the firmware, and I've extract data using flashtool. Then I've used ex2explore to get the files in the system.ext4 file. I've put the taken files in a zip, I've put the META-INF folder from a custom rom compatible with xperia SP. So I went in recovery and I've installed the zip but it doesn't work. After the tried installation the device doesn't start, the only thing that happens is that the screen lights up black. So to turn on the device I must plug the phone to the pc and install the firmware of the Xperia SP.
Do I done something wrong? Is there a way to install the firmware of another device?
And if it is possible, given that the Z1 compact display (4,3") is smaller than the SP display(4,6"), will appear a black zone?
Or if I install the z2 (5,2") firmware a piece of my display will be cuted?
Thanks in advance for the Help :highfive:

Wow, I have never seen a brave android flasher anywhere.
You have a bright future in development, because your not afraid to make mistakes.
To port you must learn kernel and Android framework basics.
Size of display isn't important but resolution is important and i think it isn't important too because android apps are flexible and android adapts applications to the screen resolution.. But two different devices have completely different hardwares, chipsets, drivers, frameworks, and everything else.. For porting roms you should change kernel and frameworks so that apps of new device work with your devices kernel.. And this procedure isnt that easy.. First read..

D2005 and D2105 are almost same. On D2005 you can flash a Dual firmware, and on D2105 you can do it the same thing
However I only have D2005 so I don't know what happens when you flash a Single Firmware, maybe you could not use the second SIM

Whick boot anim exactly??
If I have a little time, I will download FTF for D2105 and make the ROM. But no guarantee and no possibility for tests.
I hope I could find some time.

how do you rooted that firmware? and how did you keeped supersu back again?
did you used debloater.zip to clean the original firmware?
witch language is standard used?
is philz recovery included?
my actual version .19 is so lagged I'll test yours
I have still bug in Settings/Personalization/Gérer les notifications/Toutes ; the app settings stops and back to Personalization. You too?

You are right. I haven't included a recovery cause you can add it afterwards.
I am not a developper. Sorry for inconvenience.
I'm glad that you finally found out a ROM that you like.
Personally, I like the system icons...much more than the Sony ones.

You're welcome.
I have changed my occupation (Different job) and I have no more time for me and my smartphones for now.
Good luck!!! with your new job.
If I want to install this ROM, should I get the SIM card out like at flashing?
