Try restoring it to stock using odin. Use the full package when flashing with odin.
I dont remember how many files there should be, someone back me up!
Havent used odin for quite some time now...
Yes, i installed with ODIN. And i tried many time to re-install again.
I don't really understand, where does your phone stuck?
Did you try flashing another Stock ROM other than that one?
Say me your country, and I'll search a Original Stock ROM for you, and a guide to flash it with ODIN, maybe you are doing something wrong Don't worry too much, your phone isn't fully bricked yet if it boots...

Hi!
So i figured i wanted to get of the faulty ics leak in order to keep my phone safe, but it seems I was able to do the exact oppsite...
I will try to make a detailed overview of what I did, here we go.
I was using Stunner on CLP5. Followed this guide to do the downgrade:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr3DDEh8vyc&list=UUlVIlK8QHZ2PFkXF97bA0lg&index=5&feature=plcp
What i did:
Flashed the Abyss kernel - rebooted
Wiped with the new recovery
Flashed rocketrom
Got stuck on bootloop. (I should've probably done another wipe here, am i right? )
After flashing Rocketrom, I once again got a new recovery, I figured I was on a safe kernel and recovery now so instead of trying wiping or a different rom, I was stupid enough to do a restore of a backup of a stock rom with root I had from December when i bought the phone.
This made everything even worse, my battery drained and I was unable to charge my phone through USB or 220v. Luckily I got my friend to charge my battery (same phone)
Booting up my phone agian, I was no longer able to acess recovery, but I still had acess to Download mode.
I flashed a stock GB rom successfully through PC Odin, and yet AGIAN I was stuck at bootloop. The file I flashed was a single .tar file. I didn't select update bootloader, should i try this? maybe re-ptartitioning?
I still have acess to download mode.
Has anyone got a clue how to fix this mess?
Thanks for all replies!

Please, pit partitioning seems to get thrown out there like smarties but imo should only ever be used as a very last resort as a lot can go wrong.
Have you tried wiping cache and dalvik? Sorts out reboots 99 percent of the time.

Solved the problem by downloading yet a another stock GB rom, this time with three files, instead of the one .tar file.

A friend of mine suggested that I try Cyanogenmod, so I decided to flash my Galaxy Mini. The first problem was the bootloop, and no matter how many times I wiped the phone, it was always stuck at the Android text. So I decided to try the Honeycomb mod. Same happened. So I decided to flash it with Android 2.3.6 from sammobile.com. At last, it started working. However, Google Play still sees every application as "installed" (but of course they aren't), and when I try to delete from GP, nothing happens. After trying to install other applications, I realized that I cannot install anything from the market. Any idea how I could solve this problem? I would be very grateful.

Yes I did. I used CWM 5.0.2.6. The funny part is that after being turned off 3 times, Google Play started working But if there's a solution to the bootloop problem I would love to hear it. I searched this forum and the internet and nothing, even though I followed a cyanogenmod wiki's guide.
did you wipe two times before and after flashing cyanogenmod rom
How old is your sd card? because same happened to me. I needed to format my sd card.

Thanked accidentally.
Anyway, tour problem is the CWM you used, didnt u see the DONT USE sign in the version 5.0.2.6 thread? 5.0.2.8 would avoided those errors in flashing custom ROMs

No, I didn't see the sign, and to be honest, I didn't even know that there was a 5.0.2.8 version. Do you think it would work with that?
try flash cm7 trough this recovery---->forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342190 i think this in the best cmw........

I'm sure it works. 5.0.2.6 had some issues as said in the thread, but 5.0.2.8 or 4.0.0.5 works fine. Try it

So I downloaded the new recovery, flashed it via Odin, and now nothing works. When I enter recovery it says that it can't mount /cache/log and /cache/recovery (I think it says these two). I looked around and found that it could be stuck in a bootloop, but luckily Android loads. However, I can't root my phone due to several errors, so I can't install Cyanogen mod. I think I'll give up now But thanks for all the help!

This happens because you are in stock ROM, this errors are normal. If you want ONLY to root your phone you should use stock recovery. Otherwise you can proceed.

Thanks very much Here is what I did step by step:
I returned to the stock recovery by installing the stock firmware. I rooted the phone with stock recovery. Then I installed CWM recovery 5.2.0.8, but I still get the same error in CWM: it can't mount a few things. I still tried installing Cyanogen without wiping, and of course it's stuck at the boot screen with the Android text (I had a feeling that it wouldn't work if the recovery is not fully operational, so I did not want to lose every contact for nothing again). I read that this problem can be solved by formatting the SDCard, so I tried formatting it with PC and the phone also, but nothing. So now I'm back to the stock firmware and recovery with my phone rooted and no idea how to solve any of the problems.

Flasging CyanogenMod without wipes? Seriously? Thats exactly why it never worked!! CWM cant mount somethings because you were in stock ROM
Use some backup program to backup contacts, apps, whatever and flash cyanogenmod wiping data and cache before and after.

This was just a trial run due to the new CWM recovery. If you read back, I already wrote that I tried wiping both data and cache before and after flashing Cyanogen mod. This "mounting" problem only came up with the new CWM recovery, 5.2.0.8.
The basic Google Apps were all there, since I used a rom from sammobile.com, downloaded programs like poweramp were the ones that did not work.

And you tried wipes using 5.2.0.8 version? The mounting problem happened with me only in this recovery too, maybe because it is updated, different or whatever but I flashed and everything was good. Anyway, stay with stock, it seems better for you.

Flashing safe kernel like abyss..
Do full wipe/factory reset,u must do it or u will get stuck more n more..
N then flashing the custom rom..
Bud, it should have you do a backup using backup titanium before do a flashing..
not all the custom rom can run well without doing a full wipe ..
So do a full wipe if you want to flash the custom rom ..
do a full wipe on a secure kernel like abyss kernel..

Being able to boot into recovery, at least, is a good start. Can you get into download mode, and, if so, have you used Odin to flash stock firmware, rather than using CWM or whatever recovery you're using? Can you use adb while the device is booting?

+1 this.
Same thing happened to me and flashing from ODIN worked. Although I never recovered my serial number; it became all zeros. Thankfully my IMEI is okay so I'll live. And if you need stock firmware hit up samsung-updates.com.

Hi guys,
so I was trying to sell my SGS i9000 and I failed. Why? Because I kept getting 'Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped'. I tried everything I could find, clearing particular caches, wiping overall cache and dalvik, factory reset, even reflashed the ROM. Nothing has changed.
I believe it has something to do with the thing that I had accidentaly deleted 'media' folder (actually, cut it and pasted on the desktop, so I copied it back right away). Now the gallery doesn't work, the camera just as well and overall system can't boot every time. (If I press and hold the power button, it starts booting and gets stuck at Slim logo, but when I take the battery out after getting stuck, it boots just fine).
Are there any other solutions?
I'm on Slim Bean official build 7. Not sure which Sema kernel they've used, because I can't download or install anything as well.
