hi all, i need a help with my galaxy S, the audio recording (also in video and third part apps) doesn't work. This Happens in all new roms except cyanogenmod 7.1 end MIUI gb. now...how can i fix this problem? i want an ICS rom but i can not use apps like google voice or skype and my videos are without audio...maybe it's a library problems? i hope you'll help me! thanks in advance!
i think its a rom bug.wait for fix.
i don't think so, because i have this problem on a few new ICS roms but i can call normally, the problem is only in a third part apps...

I've managed to flash my tab to gingerbread and all was fine until i used the camera function to record my lovely baby expressions and it didn't work! the recording button was there and once i clicked on it, all buttons are gone and video not recording as it should. I tried downloading 3rd party video recording apps and it doesn't record as well. Please help me with this. I wanna relive my baby expressions again and again.
Whose GB did you use?
I flashed using Overcome's and followed the instructions for a full wipe and prep.
Everything is working like a gem and I just tried the camera because of your post.
I used odin 1.7 and instructions from chainfire. Now I'm experiencing my bluetooth connection periodically goes on and off and so does my 3g signal

Thanks for the reply. I just tried skype. In video chat I get audio but video is no go, on either front (obviously won't work) or back cam setting. I'm on a GB i9000 based rom if that matters...
Is there another video chat app that has a windows based client for remote chat?
...Would it help to offer a bounty on GTalk w/video in ICS for the Captivate?

But wasn't able to get chat video working...after I rebooted my phone it also forced me to un-install Skype and tried to make me re-download from the Market.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

one week ago i got a Galaxy S I9000.
I flashed ParanoidAndroid v1.1.d with the newest Devil Kernel (Devil3_0.79_i9000_CFS_BLN_VC_20120618.zip)
Very nice rom by the way
But unfortunaly iam not able to record videos. I changed nothing with the free ram space, so i think thats not the problem?
With the stock rom it was possible to record. Tried semaphore but without success..
Could not find another app for video recording and i dont know how to change recording resolution settings??. ... any suggestions?

Yes you are right PA ROM has some issues with the camera. In tablet mode once you switch to front camera the switch camera button doesn't work.
Video recording works fine with other apps but not in 720p.
In the Development Site of PA i read nothing about cameraproblems...
With Skype e.g. its working fine... but i dont know on which resolution.
Do you have a hint for a different app for recording videos? It hasn't to be high res.
I found nothing in the market...

Is there anyone experiencing with bad sound quality while using Skype?
I know many other people out there is having the same problem as well.
But is there a fix method to it?
Do not block microphone it is underneath tab in landscape mode and send message to developers and check you have latest version and check soind recording quality in other apps to see is it a general problems or skype specific if you use cyanogenmode so try stock may be audio input buggy in cm

my phone is galaxy note gt-n7000 ics 4.0.4 and i urgently need an app to pause the camera while recording a video as the officail camera app does not support this feature and if i receive a call while recording it stops the recording and i need to record the video from the begining or miss a part of the scene
so any mod or app can help with this problem
