[Q] Is there dual touch support in games?

Hi all!
I have froyobread 0.25 on my xperia X8. Dual touch works wonderful in gallery and in the browsers. But in the games is Single touch. For example in tiger arcade, fists for fight etc. Is there setting which I must activate or just there no support at all. Thanks in advance. Sorry if my post is not in the proper section.

Do you have Cypress or Synaptics Digitalizer?

Are these apps or some options in cyanogen

these kind of capacitive touch screen hardware,newer x8 has allready had Cypress Digitalizer.and it have real dualtouch..

@alharun there are a lot of issues with froyogigner and I am using froyogigner. I don't know what to do. After all there are some driver installed with the rom. After all mutitouch tests detect the multitouch. The problem is with the games.

Hello to all, i have a question.
have an galaxy mini with CyanoMobile relase 2 installed, everything working well, but i dont feel multitouching on my device.
can i activate it? i mean more than 2 point multitouch?

The touch screen on our device is unable to detect more than 2 points.

Impossible...hardware thing...

Judging from his name he's Romanian. But even so this post will be in English. Arabu don't hope that this will be fixed soon.Only if someone will make a petition or stuff like that to Samsung so maybe they will solve it

Like in first reply no more than 2 touch recognitions on mini

it cannot be fixed its a hardware thing not software mini is low end smartphone and is having a low quality touchscreen

I wanna know that if i will unlock bootloader of my xperia x8 and flash the custom kernel then i will have a real multi-touch on my cell phone? my device is synaptics multitouch. i tried on some games but multi-touch didn't works my device is rooted and gingerDX rom in it. THANKS

No - Synaptics has dual-touch.. Cypress has multi-touch..

u says dual touch but i cant touch both things at the same time? i mean e.g i m playing a game name minisquardian where i have to control the plane as well as press the fire button at the same time but when i moving the plane the fire button doesn't work so i have to release the control then press the fire button so man is there any solution where both things works at the same time? THANKS

Synaptics , which i own, can only use the "fake dual touch" by doixanh. Its not the best but at zooming pages its not that bad, u cant play the games that require DT though. You can enable the feature to "better support DT games" but i dont really know how to enable it :L

first of all the phone needs to has gyroscope. and s+ doesn't have.:crying:

I think phone need accelerometr, not gyroscope because someone made running fix but it crash gallery apk.

Nope, its the Gyro. Our phone doesnt have Gyro, so were Screwed until someone patches it.

Even if someone patches it.. we won't get the full experience ....
Accelerometer cant sense ALL the directions but gyroscope can.!

What's the difference between gyro and accelerometr? In gravitational field accelerometr measures g force so in effect we know our position in reference to earth. This same data as gyro only measured in other way, gyro instead of caunting acceleration just keep position parallel(thanks to angular momentum) to earth and from this the phone know where is earth. Simple physic...

so... i think the photosphere will work on devices which doesn't have gyroscope only if someone will modify the app to use accelerometers instead of gyroscope or to optimize somehow( for example: to use street view isn't necessary to have gyroscope to work) .i think that you understand what i've said (the ideea).

May i know if theres any app which is similar to photosphere, i have tried few of them but not happy after seeing photosphere....so let me know:good:

Accelerometer doesn't track vertical movement, only left and right. At least that is how I know it. Not really sure how street view works though. It may be possible but might need to wait a while.

Accelerometr work in 3d not only left/right, it give this same data as gyroscope, just it is a bit more vulnerable for disruptions, that's all.

U are totally right my friend ! But the problem is, that what if twist our device? Accelerometer is not that accurate and can't sense all the directions in all angles! That is simple coordinate geometry I would rather say.

Yes, gyroscope is more certain, but think logicaly - who twists phone while taking photos I think it is possible to port it, but of course it will have worse accuracy but still will work.

yeah but probably it works on that version which has gyroscope. i9000 international doesn't have gyro but is a version of i9000 ( canadian version i think) which has gyroscope. I have a friend which has a i9000 international version and he says that photosphere doesn't work

Nope as Z2 has Snapdragon 801 chipset while Z1 is only Snapdragon 800

Double tap to wake up is implemented in Doom Kernel but you have to be Rooted with Unlocked bootloader, Gloves on Xperia it's probably a hardware feature as it depends of the Touch Screen, BTW our Z1 can be used with gloves as it is a Capacitive Touch Screen but as far I know someone have problem with some gloves. Camera Processing Software is one of the most important feature so I think Devs are working on it, just a Little patience.
If you asking for a entire Z2 Rom then probably no, as it is a different hardware, but some features will be ported for sure.

You can't install firmware for other device.
Not on Z1 or any other device.
Not only because it doesn't have same cpu or chipset...there's million of other reasons...

And I have flashed the system dump Z2 on my Z1... It works bad but it works... I am sure that it will be ported entirely... DooMLoRD can the do without too difficulty, I think... The Z2 is not revolution but just a evolution...

Cant tell if serious or trolling... resistive touchscreens can be used with anything since they sense pressure... capacitive touchscreens work in a different way. Afaik all highend phones use capacitive touchscreens and little of them support glove mode oob unless theyre special conductive gloves or allow some sort of contact between your finger/body and the screen.

The screen doesnt support it or its blocked in kernel. Samsung uses capacitive screens too, yet they have that touchless stuff. The factthat the Z1 has a capacitive screen doesnt mean something will work or not.

No, it mean it will work. When something do not, you have to go for exclusion. Capacitive Screen support gloves? Yes, then is not hardware but Software. Like 2 Tap to Wake, it work on our phone but have to be enabled only.

:good:, I just said it may be related to Hardware but as it is Capacitive Screen should work, sometime my english is not well understood. Sorry.
