[Q] Ghost Hand problem on X8/W8 - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

does anyone knows how to get rid of these ghost hand/touch problem??
that problem is messing what i'am doing..
i dont know where i get that but before i install any custom roms, full wipe and wipe cache partition is the first thing to do. Am I right?

If it happens on your keyboard (happened to me) just change keyboards.
If not try reflashing the rom.
Btw, if you succesfully unlock your bl using testpoints could you pm me with a tut?

[Q] Problem flashing the kernel (ftf)

Hello!
I have tried to install MiniCM on my SE x8 (E15i)
My phone is rooted, xrecovery is installed, busybox installed, Bootloader unlocked
I run this from xrecovery -> 1 : msm7227
2 : MiniCM7-2.1.6-X8
3 : gapps-gb-20110613-signed
BUT when I try to flash the kernel ( E15_nAa-07_2.6.29.6-nAa-07.ftf )
It says flashing kernel and then flashing aborded
I havent done this before! Please tell me where iam going wrong, Because I dont know how to do it step by step!
I had come to xda because my x10 was slow after update
and it became better than before thanks to xda team and members! So it gave me the courage to try this on my x8 which I was not using because of Android os 2.1..
Help will be appreciated .. I know xda wont let me down

I don't you can unlock your bootloader by running msm7227 from xRecovery! Have you checked whether you are successful after executing msm7227 from PC? use flahstool-1 to check!

Sugesstion to prevent NOOBS brick their phone

Lately,i see many of noobs install a rom in dev sec b4 read what its requirement & end up with bricking.
My suggest, a filter in download link which is direct to some form to tick correctly a requirement for specific roms.(similar with membership form).This form can be determined by dev of the roms & real download link will be open if they tick a right answer.for exp;
Phone model-x8/w8 tick/untick
Root tick/untick
Recovery System
Xrecovery tick/untick
CWM tick/untick
Baseband
xx06 tick/untick
xx15 tick/untick
Unlocked bootloader
Yes tick/untick
No tick/untick
Kernel
Stock tick/untick
Costum(can edit by dev)tick/untick
I know this will be annoying for some of us but prevent is better than cure
Hope colossus will see this & consider it.

Not a bad idea
But it will be very difficult to implement it. Practically impossible as I see it.
This can be done on google docs, create a form there... easy to implement...

Looks like Just SoftBrick dude [hardbrick means when your phone cannot be powered on]
You Relock Bootloader? Unlock it again
Flash ICS nAa Kernel, Flash MiniCM9 as simple is that
Or Using Pcc/SEUS, Flash All again to Stock Rom/Kernel.
Then, Using s1tool, check wheter you phone Already Unlock bootloader or Not.
If Not, Unlock Bootloader First,
If Yes, Flash kernel, Then Rom
Dont Forget to FULL WIPE
Just My opinion

[Q] Anyone in Nepal with an X8/W8 + unlocked bootloader?

Just curious as to whether or not it was successful. Thanks. Please let me know if in the wrong section.
I dont understand and whats the connection of the place? You want to ask for help? We can help you. If your phone has this tag 11w29+ up then be very aware that you might brick your phone if it falls 11w28- below then just follow the instructions and your bootloader will be unlocked

What kind of cm7 do you use?
Did you unlock your bootloader?
Did you install the latest Flashtool?
Do you have the latest nAa ics kernel in /flashtool/firmwares?
If you didn't unlock your bootloader, then you have to check the manufacturing date. If it's 11w29>, you can unlock the bootloader. Once you unlocked using Flashtool you have to download latest nAa ics kernel and move the .ftf into /flashtool/firmwares. Then you have to download the latest MiniCM or ISDX or ParanoidAndroid zip with latest gapps-ics. Copy the 2 zips to the root of your SD and flash latest nAa kernel with Flashtool. Then go to recovery, full wipe, flash the ROM that you downloaded and latest gapps-ics. Reboot. Done!
Hit Thanks if I helped!

Yes I checked the website from sony (and some other).
Does all of those Tools works on W8 ?
Because I did my best (including asking for bootloader unlock key) and I'm unable to make my fastboot mode recognize on W8 hardware list
If you got a clue, welcome .
Watever happens, thanks Guys and Girls for all the non-profit job you do for most of us.
(btw : I just want to root my Xperia SP to be able to pull away some sony' apz that work underflow and make it 60% ram used without launching anything; this of course, make it slow !!)

Ya I think so.. You should pm one of the experienced dev or member who owns Xperia SP and has carried out or helped in the development of the same phone model..

I have the same unlock allowed: No...
You can only use stock based roms, only recoveries for locked BL, and cannot enter fastboot mode...
Use SEUS for repairing or reinstalling stock rom if u ever mess something up during rom installation.
