[2.3.4 Rom] [email protected] with Blend UI & Tweaks & Blendkernel [V04][Oct.08]
[email protected] is a rom based on 4.0.1.A.0.283 LT15i Generic Global including unique Blend UI and Tweaks from XDA and my own.
Blend 2.3.4 v04 and Blendkernel2 have been released and V04 is a stable version of Blend.
Tips:
1.You may use CWM reocvery to flash my rom.
2.You may use fastboot to boot CWM recovery or you may reboot into recovery directly if you have flashed BlendKernel.
3.You may use flashtool to flash baseband.
4.You should unlock your bootloader first.
5.It will erase your data including contacts information and apps so you should backup your phone first!
The skills of using flashtool,fastboot and CWM reocovery are required if you want to flash my rom.

[NEW]Changelog for v04 :
1.All SE widgets are black&white style now(weather,worldclock...etc.)
2.Some small changes(exp:unlock sliding button down to the bottom).
3.You can delete some of the apps in system/app directly from the SE Home launcher instead of using Root-Explorer(exp:facebook,TS,Gmail,Gtalk,maps,).
4.Reboot option has been removed to fix some problems.
WARNING:
You MUST flash Blendkernel v02 or DooMKernel this time or you will loss some of the apps.

3.fix some tweaks to reduce lags(smothness now)
WARNING:
1.This is only a hotfix for blend v02 rom.If you have already flashed the v02 rom you should reboot into CWM recovery to flash the v03 hotfix but if you haven't flashed v02 rom yet plz flash the v02 rom first.
2.DO NOT wipe your data before you use CWM recovery to flash the v03 hotfix.
3.The hotfix package will not wipe your data including contacts informations and apps.

BlendKernel Description for v02(Designed for Everyone):
-> Based on official Kernel sources with a moded ramdisk from DooMlord
-> No overclock module
-> All functions are working property including USB & WIFI
-> V4 CWM recovery inside
-> Busybox run-parts init.d support
I have got a great help from lzyllp to make this kernel(thx lzyllp)
In fact I have done nothing on it,I just use the DooM's ramdisk to make this kernel so he is the one who should be thanked.

How to flash my rom?
Step 1: Download tools you need and the rom itself and put the .zip into your SD card before you start your work.
Step 2:Unlock Bootloader.
Step 3:Check your phone: Go to Settings->About phone->Baseband version and see wether it ends up with -49.If not you should flash 49 baseband.
Step 4:If your baseband version is not end up with 49 as I have mentioned.Plase download the BB_49.ftf and use flashtool to flash(just like the way you use flashtool to flash .ftf format SE official rom).
Step 5:Use fastboot to flash Blendkernel v02 or DooMKernel(command:fastboot flash boot BlendKernel.img)then reboot into recovery.
Step 6:
->Chose wipe data/factory reset and confirm.
->Chose wipe cache partiton and confirm .
->Chose advanced and chose wipe Dalvik Cache then confirm
->Chose install zip from sdcard to flash the .zip rom you have put into your SD card.
Step 7:Start your Arc and chose Onyx theme to apply blend theme
Enjoy it!

Thank you for making this ROM, however, I don't know what did I did for my phone, after I install your rom from recovery and try to restart the phone, it always go into the recovery automatically without pushing any bottom. I can't get into the system and stock in the recover mode. Can anyone help my problem?

Sure,you can use fastboot to flash a temporary CWM recovery environment (fastboot boot recoveryARC.img)and I have provided both two things in this post.Feel free to ask me if you have more questions.

I need more details about what you have done to your phone.Maybe you can flash 49baseband.ftf file via flashtool to solve this problem.

Music widget theme is there but not the toggles(Wi-Fi, data, sound etc), can they be done?

Overclock tweaks are not included in this rom.If you have flashed DooMkernel you'better use setcpu to overclock your CPU and manager it .Btw what do you mean about toggles?

The toggle widgets for switching WiFi, brightness, bluetooth etc. on/off. Only seems to be the music player, media bar and the home that are themed. No worries, beautiful widgets can replace the toggles and don't use any other se widgets, and I appreciate your work

It's stock - so no real need for screen shots. I can't tell a difference to 4.0.3 stock rom in terms of visuals. Seems a little bit faster though. Some apps are missing (as maxicet told in his op).

WHAT I DID :
1. asked to a chinese "friend" to download for me and re upload on GDrive. THANK YOU VERY MUCH "shinzi"
2. downloaded from his GDrive
3. managed the installation method to not risk brick on my device
4. found safe installation method and installed on my device
5. did many tests with kernels and found that previous CF root kernels work fine
6. removed all Chinese stuff and did many "new" LPJ kernel tests
7. added "safe" LQ3 5.6 kernel
8. added many useful things and optimized the system
9. did some tests with many 4.0.3 apps (and many of them don't work)
10. cleaned all and prepared the system for nandroid​
INSTALLATION METHOD :
1. Download TMT_2.0_4.0.4_BASE_NANDROID.zip - 522.8 MB package with your PC, unpack it and place extracted directory in your INTERNAL SD card "CLOCKWORKMOD / BACKUP" folder
2. Download "Abyss 4.2" kernel from HERE, then go in recovery and flash it, then go back to "advanced" menu and select "reboot recovery"
3. To be sure your are doing right steps, now recovery menu MUST BE RED. Even if it's a touch recovery, you can use volume buttons to move and power button to select
4. select "nandroid menu", then "restore", then select [date&time] named backup of step "1"
5. wait till the end, then press two times "back virtual button" bottom of the screen, then select reboot menu and reboot system : WELCOME IN 4.0.4
6. TO BE CONTINUED.....now I have to go at work...​
P.S. :
1. ADD-ON PACKAGES WILL COME SOON.....

So why its this 4.0.4?

if many apps don't work on 4.0.4 what will be the benefit to install it if does not differ much than 4.0.3

I don't understand your question.
In general 4.0.4 should give us speed and stability improvements over 4.0.3.

more speed and stability makes it not 4.04. Must have cm9 stuf in it but than it still is not 4.04.

Flashing Instructions!
ROM IS NO WIPE, BUT IT IS ADVISED TO MAKE A FULL WIPE!
CWM flashable ROM - Take a nandroid backup before flashing! Make a full wipe with safe kernel! i.e, wipe data,cache & Dalivk Cache and then go to mounts & storage format data,cache & system and then mount /data before flashing!
ODIN ROM - It is no wipe, but follow the instructions carefully given below:
PC-ODIN
Unzip the .md5 format file and store on PC
Select PDA and then select the downloaded file
Make sure no re-parttion is checked and then select start!
Wait till the phone reboots!
MOBILE ODIN - ROM no wipe, but follow the instructions carefully given below:
MOBILE-ODIN
Unzip the downloaded file and extract it to either internal or external SD card on your phone!
Open Mobile ODIN and then select Open File
Select the file which is extracted
Select kernel and then select any of the kernels (CF ROOT-LRQ, Speedmod , Notecore & Hydracore)
Please download the above said kernels from the XDA
Select everroot option and inject supersu
Select wipe data, Cache & Dalvik Cache
Select Flash firmware and follow the on screen instructions!

Thanks raghav...the ROM is pretty smooth...just finished the mod for crt-off enabled, SIP enabled ...now working on one percentage battery mod! Hpefully everything will be up in couple of hours...precise 5.30 Indian time (63% Uploaded)

with all respect, i don't think that such minor changes can be called custom roms as they barley are different from stock roms, i think a custom rom should offer major noticeable changes than a stock rom
like incorporating things that give a wow factor

What about just being thankful that somebody starts to modifiy the rom coming out today(!) - if the changes are to minor for you just don't flash it.

yes what you said is right...but after gadgetcheck left the note, then who is going to do the stock ROM with all the mods...so i thought let me release a base with all the tweaks, then in mods section, you will find the various mods which can be called custom ROM...you should ask the sammy to release the noticeable changes in the ROM, instead they releases the same 4.0.3 ROM with out any major changes in visual effects...so its up to you to flash my friend!
Forget to tell you my friend, i am not copying and adding here instead editing all the necessary files to include the mods from the scartch!

I did not understand my friend...but whatever rom you are , first flash the abyss 4.2, then full wipe and then flash the ROM...if you elobrate, then i will add the same in OP though

From ICS, first do root then flash abyss 4.2 and then enter to CWM recovery. Wipe data, cache, dalvik and flash the ROM. Once the ROM is up, first update the binaries of SU for full rooting. This is advice from grgsiocl but I suggest-from ICS-first flash GB, then enter in stock recovery-do full wipe and then flash ICS 4.0.4

I'm not competing with anyone.
When I think that a rom is great for me...I share it with my personalization
I like cm7..because our hardware is to low and old..however this AOSP of sir Paul L. is nears at daily use

Just tested the rom and everything seems to be just fine except usb storage it does not work it says that my SD card is damaged & i should format it before i use it and i don't want to format my sd card cos the file manager & Apollo are reading the contents of the card...

I'm verry happy to see you, works on AOSP, i remenber that you say all times before, that you don't work on a CM9 because of poor hardware in our device, but we change all, it's just a question of time

The rom is already odexed..and yes..you can use stock Systemui.apk deleting my SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex..

Yes..this rom is my personal goal...for play more before christmas, period in which I will buy a Nexus 5..

Man, Your works are great. It's pretty amazing that you have created this rom using Erickas 9.2. I will test it right away. The only thing is that I will have to install the google search, radio and gtalk

BBM won't work on mini,as the app is meant to work only on armv7 devices. It is not the problem of any rom.

I downloaded ur rom but unfortubately the phone hangef every time on the second boot. In fact i removed s2e and mountsd script thru root manager and also removed odex file of s2e so that i could use int2ext script. But no luck till now. Your rom actually is very promising and would be a milestone in 9.2 roms. Can you look into this and advise?

Try a new flash..I have not this probem..
Not try homemade remedies..why have you deleted odex file of s2e? If you inot activated (by clicking on the icon and providing root permissions) does not work .. so it can not cause problems ..

i hope you can change the fonts of this rom like fonts on Jelly Bean Rom.. because the fonts of jelly bean rom is perfect.. not thin or skinny :laugh:

I think its the problem of cm9.2 because this's happened to me. But if u dont want change ur rom i have this way to copy ur file to sd card: boot to recovery,go to advance and mount ur sd card.this is my way.hope can help u.cheer!

USB mass storage works
when u connect phone via usb
go in settings>>storage
just tap on menu button usb options>>tick on mass storage
