1. You need copy 2 font: droidsans and droidsans-bold from rom stock.
2. Copy to folder ".fontchanger"
2. Open "Font changer" > Advanced. You click droidsans.ttf > chossen "droidsans" > apply > reboot late.
Click droidsans-bold.ttf > chossen "droidsans-bold" > apply > reboot.

Here is how I changed my font from stock to Roboto
1. Root your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454112
2. download your Font onto your tab
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/design/Roboto_Hinted_20111129.zip (roboto - ics 4.0 font)
3. install any font changer app, run, select font, BOOM delicious new font appears
Roboto is amazing. Love this font. I use it in all my apps now. Looks 100% better on 99% of interfaces (for some reason looks a bit squished in gmail)
does anyone know how to change the font of the clock in the status bar? I hate the font that Samsung is using.

if you change trough update.zip i think (CMIIW) thats dangerous but if you know that samsung default has font changer in setting but the one i dont understand is how to add more cause i had copy and paste into system/font with root exp but no luck and the font not showing on list
Just a quick update on what I have recently found is the best solution to getting Roboto on this device.
Don't use a font changing app like Font Changer or Font Installer, etc. Specifically those two don't overwrite the default fonts correctly & that's why you will see weird looking fonts sometimes (gmail app for example).
Best & Easiest Solution (requires root):
1. Download this rar file.
2. Extract the three .ttf files and copy over to your device.
3. Copy them to the system\fonts and overwrite the originals (I will give you a link to the originals).
4. If you want to go back to stock, download this file and do steps 2 & 3 again.
Anyone tried this on ICS? I did it but saw zero change

Change Fonts On Galaxy Nexus

Download font changer from Play store and install it
Download fonts and store in your /sdcard folder
For Me its /sdcard/New Fonts
OPen Font changer
Go to advanced
Scroll down to DroidSans.ttf
Browse to your /sdcard/New Fonts and select DroidSans.ttf
Press apply ...
Repeat for Roboto-Regular.ttf and DroidSans-Bold.ttf
Reboot ... Bingo
Use at you own risk
============================================================
Bottom Line in nexus DroidSans.ttf , Roboto-Regular.ttf and DroidSans-Bold.ttf are the three fonts that are used to display major text..
============================================================
My first attempt in tweaking the nexus .. A click on the thanks button :good: would not cost you anything .. but would help me to understand how many users i helped

I haven't tried this method; however, I successfully changed fonts using ROM toolbox.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It allows to only change fonts shown in rom tool box.
For eg. if you want to install say Rosemary Font available on galaxy s3 .. cant install it as not on rom tool box

Downloaded fonts do not apply!

Hello
My S5830 is on stock rom 2.3.5. I wanted to change my system font. From "Font style" I downloaded an Arabic font pack. Now I have many fonts to set as system fonts.
But when I set any of them and reboot the system, no font change happen and system font is still the default font.
What is the solution? Why does not any change happen?
Is your device rooted? If not, then you'd need to do so in order to change system fonts. Kindly specify which app you are using to change the font.

My device is rooted.
To change the default Persian font of my device,
I used iFont and its My Font, but no change happened.
Also from "Font style" of my device, I downloaded fonts from google, but no change happened.

Hi There,
You will need to Root Your Device first and then try to install custom fonts.

Well what are you trying to do i mean you want to change the language pack eg: Froem English To Persian Or you want to change the font style only.
If you want to change the font style only Try Pencil fonts app have checked it personally it Works..

Hi,
if you rooted the SGA, backup the content of /system/fonts folder;
then substitute (use ghost commander) the original fonts with the content of Arabic font pack you downloaded and set the appropriate permission;
the reboot the phone and enjoy

Adding a custom system font

Hello everyone,
I have a little task. I want to change my system font. I'm on OOS 4.0.3 rooted. Every single app that says it does it only allows me to choose from their font selection. But I have a custom TTF font I'd like to use.
Is there any solution to get this working?
You could just mod the app & insert your font? Quickest way would be to get the font apk on your computer, change the last bit from (.apk) to (.zip), unzip & swap the font package but inserting yours, then resign the apk with a resigning app from the playstore, then install the app & pick the font name you swapped! Or you could go poking though your system files from a file manger app & just paste straight over the top then reboot. But to be honest the first way would probably be safer. But make sure before you start have a Recovery Backup ready just in case

Ifont has the same problem. Only the fonts they provide. No custom fonts.

You can use you own fonts
Open ifont app
