anyone on these particularly dead forums want to come close to as even try to port jellybean to the droid 4?
+1 on that. So what if we're not mainstream phone owners. We need some TLC too!

Just wait for the source to be released... then I'm sure hashcode will turn something out.
Hash will make a CM port, but CM10 won't be ready until the source drops.

Hash has a lot on his plate right now. I'm sure he will cook something up when the time is right. We just got an ics leak working.

They have already begun merging JB code into CM10. I am sure that as soon as there is an even semi-stable JB codebase we'll get a port of it.
Do you think an ICS based kernel is going to have issues with JB?

Nope, it should not. 4.1 has mostly architecture level changes, and some drivers, but not significant kernel level changes AFAIK.
Booted into it this morning, and it's every kind of broken LOL

The standard stuff. Camera and data are broken, along with various glitches. It's very stable though--no crashes yet.

So that's still on the Gingerbread kernel? That's darned impressive if so! Camera and data work fine on the ICS kernel from the leaks, so it's likely that there won't be a problem then. I must admit, that's sooner than expected.

So getting the OTA would mean losing root and 2.1 bummer. So much for even the thought of returning to stock when the OTA comes out.

nova kernel isn't compatible with v20n, it will boot, but probably wifi, bluetooth, gps, .. won't work
It reported wifi death, others worked fine we'll see.. aprold and knzo are still working for bugs fixing and let's hope they will make this version

waiting for lg release the source code
They would definitely attract attention if decision is made to release the source code, not to mention the increased sales that will follow.
i actually think they might go the other way and NOT release the source code. locking down all the exploits was not a good sign in GB
Unfortunately you might be wright hope not though.
As that will be the last nail in the coffin.
Why the phuk would anyone buy smart phone and use it as a dumb phone.
As if you will buy support cart doing 300km/h and have it limited to 50km/h
Thanks for the answers. I will wait for Aprold to (maybe) release a v20n version.

Hi Guys,
WARNING:
If you are on ICS, Once you flash this build you cannot directly revert to ICS, you need to flash back the RUU to get on to the ICS. Please make a note of it.
After serving you guys with the De-Sensed ICS, Here I present the Gingerbread-Desensified (especially for the Raider guys). It is still a WIP and I shall be working on it as the time allows me to do so.
Below are some screenies from my v2 build.

I've read that any AOSP based ROM should work. Can you guys confirm that you are using an AOSP based ROM and this has not worked?

The screenshot is from the stock ROM. I can confirm that it works without any issues on both the CM nightlies and AOKP nightlies.

PS - how have the AOKP nightlies been? I just noticed they posted the first official build on AOKP.co last night(tonight, depending on where you live).
I've been using it since the 21st, and literally the only problem I've encountered personally that wasn't fixed was an audio bug while listening through headphones. There are probably more that you can find in Roman's thread.
It'll be nice if this ever gets working. I don't necessarily mind going to stock (as I've had it on all my devices), but for some reason I actually am quite a fan of Sense 5 and feel I would miss it on my phone. Ha...
Maybe when HTC releases 4.2+ for our phones they'll use the right Bluetooth stack.
So, I've noticed this app when checking what's been using my battery:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The notification is hiding the battery on the screenshot, but I had 60% left, so this app is responsible for about 10% of my battery use.
When checking the apps under settings, I found the app on the second screenshot (presumably the same app, as they're both nameless & icon-less):
The process is "cyanogenmod.platform". I'm using the latest Euphoria rom. It does have CM themes, but the app has about every permission I can think of and (assuming it's the same app) is eating way too much battery to just be the themes.
As promised, a bonus question - Can franco kernel be used with euphoria?
Obviously, they didn't strip out enough of the cynanogenmod from their cyanogenmod, its still cyanogenmod'ing you to death.
Try factory sysimage. It will actually work correctly without the cyanovirii.
I just don't get it. Why do people still use cyanogen based roms?

Maybe they use them because of CAF awesomness from hammerheadcaf branch. Or because they do not want to reinvent the wheel.
But it is better to just talk **** without doing any research.
