No, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.. But we don't really need it since we can root in other ways.

If you just use the right version of superoneclick ( v 2.1.1 ) and then select exploit method gingerbreak, you can root this device.
I did this yesterday, after the v20L crap update...
I'm now back to cyanogen...

Or you can use nvflash method, always working, see thread in dev section, 'Root for dummies'.
The method you point is based on Revolutionary stuff which is quite specific to certain partition and mount frames, not sure at all it will work here, as LG hasn't the same bootloader policy (one if the very few good thing in LG, opened bootloader, on the contrary of HTC, Samsung and others).

did anybody found how to flash roms from the lg esteem to the revolution and revolution to esteem?
are these two the same device. i mean after the gb update for the revolution

The Esteem doesn't even have a working recovery yet, so there is no way to even backup the stock ROM.

[Q] How to downgrade 2x back to 2.2.2 from 2.3

Hello, I dough I can do very much at this point then ask for help.
Yesterday I used LG KDZ tool to install update to my Wind Mobile LG Optimus x2 which is P999. With the help of KDZ I got the T-Mobile update to 2.3 on it and honestly I hate T-Mobile update it just sucks so much.
I did some reading around and try to flash the ROM and some how put on a backup that was also posted here on the forums of stock Wind Mobile LG Optimus ROM.
The problem is I never rooted it while it was at 2.2 and at 2.3, I can't root it with one click rooter it just does not work I gets to Step #7 and you get device rooted but its actually is not so I can't restore to the backup I download from XDA.
I honestly would like something similar to stock 2.2 that comes with WIND LG so if you can help out to either restore it to stock ROM or in some way move it from T-Mobile update back to 2.2 without the T-Mobile preloaded and other T-Mobile blobware crap that comes with it.

[Q] Cannot Root on Gingerbread

On my LG Thrill, I went from 2.2. to 2.3 finally and when I tried to use superoneclick to root it gets all the way to Step#7 Shell Rooting Device and then locks up. Anyone know why?

Just tried Gingerbreak, had it run for about 10 minutes and it did nothing.
I suppose I'd like to know if its possible to root the LG Thrill on 2.3. I had no problem doing it on 2.2. I ended up unrooting it before I went to 2.3 but now I cant do it.
