[Q] iphone 3g firmware upgrade fail - Off-topic

I have bought an used iphone 3g for my girlfriend off a random guy who advertised he is selling it, i think it had 2.xxx firmware, and i've tried to upgrade the firmware on itunes and it apparently failed and restoring it has failed too, giving an "1015" error for some reason... any idea how to fix this? Been trying to fix this for like 5 hours now and nothing i've tried has solved the issue... Now she's left without a phone since i messed it up. Anyone please have an idea how to fix this?
Thanks a lot

To the OP......
I realize you are an iPhone user so here you go.....

As mentioned above, xda has a "sister site" for iphone users...

Xda developers posted this on the facebook page..
xda-developers.com We're very sorry about the down time today. Our server host planned some maintaince that is taking much longer than it was supposed. We'll be back shortly.

Oh okay Thanks
No worries
Yes, apparently a 15 minute upgrade in the host servers encountered a problem that took more than 1 day to get solved. We are still experiencing some problems in some actual site features (search engine), but is something that it will be solved thorugh out the hours (or probably it's already solved).
Problem with the search engine? That means I have to start a pointless thread that has been talked about already.

XDA Market App

Does anyone know how to get this forum to show on XDA market app? It doesn't show on the forum index because its under legacy devices I believe.
There doesn't appear to be a solution. I tried posting a couple requests in the general board under the xda app thread, but no luck.
What I do is post to any thread I am interested in, so they show up in the app.
I still miss new threads that pop up, until I get online with my laptop.

wow..serious?
i wasnt aware you could start a thread on your first post.
I wasn't aware that XDA member meant being a ****. He didn't ask for your sadism.
As for your question. Yes there is a way. Look around the web there are numerous sites that have android roms (specifically Evo) running on the HD7. Start with youtube. There's alot links from vids on there.

This is the reason WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public, it will NOT be shared in the public for these reasons. I have read the topic name obviously, I'm just giving you the REASON WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public AT ALL!
Obviously it's not the link for the dump or ftf file...
Reason is one noone want share, becouse do not want. I.m understand it and it is standart.

That's not at all, we would share but there is a good reason for it (Read the post again!)
System dump can't just be shared with everyone. It's an unreleased device so a leak always means a risk for someone to be kicked out by Sony.

Do you want someone to lose their job just so you can have a leaked System Dump shared publicly?
Do I`m - `All` or full public. U re funny. Ty for nothin !

Wow. What's with the influx of people recently that come here and talk **** to everyone then still expect anyone to help them?
To the OP - A little manners and courtesy go a long way. Several people have said why you will not get what you are asking for. Accept it and move on.

Totally agree with kingvortex!
Remember, everything on xda is for free, so you can at least give a little respect to people who try to help you.
People like you are the reason why many devs discontinue their work. People always demand and don't think about other people spending their free time just to help.

Unfortunately, people that think like we do are becoming lost in the sea of self entitled noobs that have swamped these forums with the increased popularity of Android and modding.
They refuse to search or read before posting or show any respect to people that give their time for free to develop better software for their device.
Sad really.

You are crazy guy, they says they can't so they can't. Get the zip available or wait to buy the device.
Do you think you are special so they give it to you and not to other well know and respected devs around, what garanti they have that you won't post elsewhere ?

Stop being ignorant & try to understand the risks involved in sharing the system dump. They are not sharing the dump even to the recognized developers:crying: Also if you keep on replying like a 7yr old, every one is gonna ignore your reply.
Chin up & change your thread title to closed or ask a mod via pm.

Alright, better than stop everyone!
When you cross when a situation like this, when you think that something it's wrong (attitude, request, rule break, etc.) report it don't try to fix the situation by yourselves.

KR user issues

Since the dev thread is closed I wanted to post this. There are some of us still using the rom and I have a few questions/issues but no where to ask about them. So I am starting this thread to ask questions about the workings of the rom itself. Please no questions asking for links and no posts about the developer.
With that said does anybody else have an issue with default apps not sticking? When I select a ring tone or notification it asks me everyone which app I want to use to select. I check the always box and select the app but it will still ask each time.

I would delete that ROM off your phone asap. Who knows whats running in the background.
Trust me. I am a doctor.
I have to agree with Lucky... The "developer" of the ROM has lied about everything since he was in the S2 forums under another username that got banned for some shady stuff...
It would not only be best to just not use because he could have done something shady to the ROM, but by using it you are supporting him.

I would like to give a second opinion since terminal illnesses should always get one.
And I concur! You should remove the rom. I may not be a doctor. But I did stay at a holiday inn express!!!
Personally if I were you, I'd read the already started threads on the knoxraid subject and form your own opinion. They may even lead you to the source of it all. Thus solving your posted problem. I think xda closed the rom threads meaning they no longer want to support it. That says a lot to me!
Hahaha haha!

XDA does not allow discussion of banned users or their work, this thread is an extension of said work.
