I would hope so.
But on a positive note: This is exciting, 3.x is a decent upgrade from 2.6.35.
I can't wait to see everything get integrated, and see this in CM9

IMO this version for the Desire S would be a better source for porting than the DHD version:

Where did all developers go. Please someone port this please

Comments like this do not help contribute to this forum or the community and IMO are a MAJOR turn-off to anyone who has the knowledge to port a ROM.
My suggestion is if you want it bad enough, learn to do it yourself and then you will have something to contribute to the community.
Can you suggest one that would gonna work. Thanks

The ICS kernel source has not been released yet for the IncS, so the only choice you currently have is what is in the ARHD zip.
No other option except the stock kernel at present.
Go bug HTC and tell them to release the ICS kernel source already.

Gaining more and more importance as Android versions progress.
Already there are problems being faced in current Android versions like jelly bean 4.2 due to lack of NEON.

Official cm support is likely to be dropped. Unofficial builds from developers may continue, but no guarantees.

Is the only way to get a 3.4 kernel would be getting a official kernel from Motorola? Or is it possible to make a 3.4 kernel for our phone?

Work has been done on that but nothing successful. There are a few 3.4 branches located in the dev team's repository.

New kernels are much tougher than roms. The 4.4 builds that we have are impressively stable and well-working for being the initial builds. Progress has come very quickly.
