[Q] Asphalt 6 Additional Data - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After Installing Asphalt 6, I have a folder located in android/data/ called com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA6HP and total size is 932 520 644 bytes. So thats about +- 900 mb. So after opening the game it requested to download another 400 and odd megabytes which I did, my question is, where did the that additional data go to.
Because everytime I am flashing new roms etc and wanting to put back Asphalt 6, I only have the 900mb data and then have to re download additional 400mb data.
I have checked related threads, but none of them is similar to mine as mine is not using the gameloft/games folder.
I also used Root Explorer but the location data/data/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA6HP has a small size of 12,68mb.
Please help, thanks.

That's only the app size as for your data look for it on your sdcard it might b under Android>data>look for a folder similar to the asphalt 6 it MAY BE called com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA6HP if its not there than check the root of your sdcard and look for gameloft folder and look there... if you find the data and you want to flash another rom just rename the data folder or do what I do just add a 1 in front of the folder name containing the data... that that thanks!!

thanks for your reply. I rechecked my root directory of device, I also checked gameloft/games and there is no GloftA6HP folder listed there. I only have the com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA6HP listed under android/data.

sdcard/gameloft/asphalt6
new location for gameloft games

The size of data depends upon the GPU and CPU.........It's device specific mostly.........
The 400Mb download was for our galaxy tab(It's 484 Mb to be exact)........Maybe The 932 MB you had was not of our device ..as you may have taken it from a friend
The downl;oad does a verification and then specifies the files that need to be downloaded...Cool!!

Asphalt 6 data location is the old one ie in gameloft /games/ashalt6. the new ones are for asphalt 7. i agree with SGTABHI that you did not download the right data file for your galaxy tab

I have downloaded Asphalt6 for the Sprint version of the Galaxy tab from the play store, my download was 431.63MB. After being downloaded the total data size was 878.34MB.
The Gameloft Asphalt 6 directory is /sdcard/Android/data/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA6HP. And no, mine is not copied from a friend, but a legit purchase from Gameloft.

[Q] Htc Nexus one wifi error

Hi guys:
to start off i need to point out im a total n00b, so i have a nexus one thats rooted with cm7 however the wifi wont turn on and i get error message just saying error.
i have looked around the net and from what i could find was that i probably need to flash my radio but i dont know what that means, i know im supposed to find a radio rom and flash it by putting it into my sd card and entering bootloader and flashing it.
is this the right way to fix my wifi and if so where do i get the proper radio image and is it that simple that all you have to do is just flash it???
if that doesnt work any ideas on what else could be causing the problem??
please help and thanks.
CM ROM's keep getting larger and larger leaving less room in \system. Use a root file explorer and check how much storage you have left in \system. If you have anything less than 1MB, you may need to delete or move some system apps and then reflash.
Radio image is probably not your problem as even though the newer radios (5.08 or 5.12) are preferred, last I heard the older radio's were still compatable with CM as the CM Team removed the radio qualifier from Gingerbread.
I have 1.46 gb so i dont think thats the problem, any other suggestions??
That's impossible because the nexus one has 512MB system partition. Try downloading titanium backup then on the bottom there should be 3 or 4 (depending on if you have app2ext or not) little bars that are somewhat filed the top one should say "system ROM" (no quotes) next to it tell us how much free space that one has left.
yeah sorry about that the internal storage (hoping thats what u want) says available space as 192 mb so it doesnt seem to be the memory.
any other suggestions?????
That's strange are you sure there is none that says "system ROM" because "internal" is the storage for apps and such.
BTW just a correction for what I said before it's not 512mb system partition it's 512 total of all 7 partition just correcting my mix up.
Yeah, you dont have 192MB free in \system. Download root explorer from the market and navigate to the \system folder. It will then tell you how much memory you have in \system.
downloaded titanium backup no such bars at the bottom whatsoever just writing??
Ok on the home page (the one with check for updates problems ? and pro version buttons) if you don't see the bars then look in the writing there should be "root access" somewhere check if it says "OK (busybox <version something>)" next to it.
Or you could also just download root explorer or estrong file manager and check how big the "system" folder is.
root access ok busybox 1.16.2 androidfull from system
hypershell fast =}yes
thats what it says
Ok well I have a later version of busybox so maybe it's that but oh well to save ourselves some trouble just use root explorer or estrong file manager. And check the size of the system folder.
finally got es file manager on the htc, could only manage to see the sd memory where do i go to see the phones system memory im absolutley cluelesss????
You might need to go into the settings and enable a "root mode" or something similar. I know I had to do that with File Expert before I could start doing stuff in the restricted folders.
i downloaded file expert, how do i see how much memory i have in my system folder???
go the the root directory (in no folders) then look through the folders one should say system long press that folder and select properties then you should get size that is how much is used the full size of the partition is 152mb.
i looked in the root directory no folders shown at all, i did a search for system long nothing either???
That means the file explorer your using probably doesn't have root access go to settings and see if you can find anything about root explorer.
If not you'll need to get another file explorer like estrong or root explorer for example
i have estrong doesnt show anything in root directory, installed root explorer but get force closer??
any other ideas
Edit: seems i need one for a rooted phone, will update after i download one for a rooted phone, same thinh wont start and get a force close
With estrong you need to go to settings -> and select root explorer, and root explorer is made for rooted phones.
got root explorer to work, looked in root nothing there????

[Q] i need help with modern combat

okay so iv found out how to install it. but should i make a sub folder or anything.
cuz a 'gameloft' folder isnt on my phone or the package
Ummm... anyone?
sent from my rooted x8 using gingerdx
You should put the Data folder in SD Card > Gameloft > Games
Then install the apk.
All this in airplane mode <------- Wait, is this game paid? If it is, this thread will be closed, we don't want warez here.
hmmm

I suggest you to first install the application in airplane mode then run it ( before putting the data) you will get a black screen dont be scared and then it will get you at your homescreen. Now check that a folder with name gameloft is in your sdcard at last the only thing you have to do is to transfer the data files in gameloft folder.Tell me if it worked..

Can't download Modern Combat 4 data

Hi!
First, I would like to thank all the forum members. I managed to root my Galaxy Ace 2 easily and I learned how to use Directory Bind to play my games without any memory limitations!
But Modern Combat 4 can't be downloaded, and I don't know why. When I try to download the game from the Google Play Store, a 498 error notification appears. Apparently, the 498 error indicates that there isn't enough memory available on the phone. It seems that Google Play Store also downloads the .obb files (the big files) directly, not only the little .apk file. Where does Google Play download the .obb files? I know that the .apk file is downloaded in the /cache folder, but no clue about the .obb files. If I knew the obb download folder, I would be able to create a symlink, directing them to my SD Card (Class 10).
Thanks!

Can be one of these routes:
sdcard/Android/obb (I think this is the route)
sdcard/Android/data/
sdcard/gameloft/

I think you have to wipe data from mediascanner, reboot and just wait 'til it has rescanned everything on your device. Worked for me

if that also doesn't work, check /sdcard or /data for files that big and delete it
Look in sdcard
Then android and obb
Basically
/Sdcard/android/obb
There will be a golder inside it which will be related to games u have downloaded
Only large files are in this folder hence there is a big chance that only the ashphalt 8 file is on it but be careful if u delete wrong folder u might have to redownload data for another game

Modern Combat 5 1.5.1d additional data folder [2015]

Hi guys,got some problem with MC5 1.5.1d
I'd downloaded MC5 latest and noticed that the data file for the game is placed at /Android/data ,instead of Android/obb.
So i tried to move it to /obb but then when i open the game it said i need to redownload(so obviously the game's data should be at /data file)
today i downloaded additional data(chapter 3 to 6 and multiplayer dlc) manually and on the web it stated that i should put it at /android/data
but conflicts happen because the additional data folder has the same name with the actual game data.
where should i actually put the additional data folder? Or should i rename the folder?
PS: i tried downloading the additional content through in-app but it wont download. So i download it manually.
Really enjoying the game though
