When will the N7000 receive 4.0.4? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since both the AT&T and Chinese versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note have the latest Android 4.0.4 version (minus Jelly Bean which isn't officially out yet), I was wondering when and whether at all our N7000 models will receive this 4.0.4 update? Whilst I know it doesn't have any new features, I'd love for a solution to the various deep sleep, brick bugs and others for ICS. So, any news on this update?

Android 4.0.4 is now available for galaxy s2
So very soon galaxy note get it maybe within a month....
Come on Samsung release us from ur emmc brick bug

Samsung firmware update are region dependent. Not all of us will get it at the same timing. Most importantly, they are slowly at rolling out firmware upgrade compare with Apple.
Yours Sincerely

[Q] Has Samsung already released official gingerbread 2.3 rom?

Hi! I'm going to buy the Samsung Galaxy S. Surfing in several forums all you talk about sgs 2.3.2 rom. However i don't understand if samsung has already released an official 2.3 rom for the galaxy s or the official one is still the 2.2.1. Thank you very much!
no there's no official 2.3.2 just a beta and its full of bugs but its a sign that samsung hasn't given up on us

Jelly Bean for Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE

Hi
I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab LTE from the danish provider "Telia".
Does the perfect ROM exsist with JellyBean for this tablet with working LTE ?
Or what shall I be aware of with theese ROMs ?
short answer: no
long answer: still no im afraid. there is some developement going on for the 8.9 LTE version which you can check out here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1575
but samsung still haven't officialy released ICS so its hard to get jelly bean to run. once samsung finally releases ICS (for the normal 8.9 and the LTE) i'd expect to see some jelly bean port, but until then i wouldn't hold my breath.

You're being premature mate... the Note 2 hasn't come at all...
If you wait for Samsung to release it, then it will be right before or after the next android os is released BUT if you're a fan of cyanogenmod, the devs over there are currently working on a cm10 jellybean release. You just have to be patient and give these devs the time they need to produce a working rom for the galaxy note.

Did you release Galaxy note 2 ????? or did you go to samsung board of directors meet to decide samsung galaxy note "CAME " WITH aNDROID 4.0.4? Post only after you confirm or know something legit else dont
To answer OPs question, Jelly Bean will be released tomorow.. It is confirmed! But unfortunately we´ll wake up and realize that it was all a dream and will have to wait 6 months for Samsung to announce that they release in 6 months.. So Jelly Bean from Samsung will be released summer 2013.. I can see the future..
Come on my friend. Don't be so Pessimistic.
What huge difference will it make? Lol not alot at all. ppl will still be flashing roms and all that. everytime theirs a update ive done it and im like hmmm i hardly notice anything. I will be dammed also to buy another new device with tiny added specs and updated software.

Samsung is said to be trying to port the Galaxy S III to Jelly Bean right now and if deemed successful, that will be the time when they decide whether they will the update to the Galaxy S II as well. If these plans push through, then there will already be four Samsung flagship devices which will all be running Android 4.1. As for other Samsung devices, well, it seems that Samsung will also update its other “higher”end devices including the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab. So, it seems that sticking with your current Samsung device is worth doing still and Samsung is not just going to abandon update support for them. Good to know.
Cm10 PREVIEW just released with all working but sensors, I guess as drivers haven't been added yet. Check original rom development.

[Q] Update to icecream or jelly beans?

Hi
I bought a german Galaxy Tab 7.0 (GT-P1000) with Android 2.3.6. The Tab has 3G too and I would like to update to Android 4.0 or 4.1. Is there a ROM which you can recommend? Can I use each rom or does it have to be a special because of the sim card?
thanks in advance
Grit
Hi,
My experience is the following:
the cm9.1 stable is probably the best in term of stability and battery life.
The cm10 Roms are nice, but i found some small issues. I'm now using the humberos ROM.
I hope it helps.
Regards

Are there any good "official" sources one can follow to get info on when samsung will release 4.2?
And do we wait for samsung, or is it more when the cooks & co. port it to i9305 and other devices?
