Hi!
there are several modems that would work great for any israeli cellular provider, including orange.
You can try JV6, KG3 or JJJV5. all were tested and found to work great!!!
For your convinience here is a thread for bunch of sgs modems available for a variety of providers worldwide...

sir , thanks for response
but , some people keep telling that we can do it by
downloading the official rom then flash it ,, after that we can flash the original kernel alone ,, and then go to download mode and wipe data
i dont understand any thing from the above ... if its right ??

You should ask them, I do not know. I flashed whole firmware, and it stuck. I needed to reflash JB to get my phone working.

from where can i get the kernel of I9070JPLK2 rom ( as i have the rom all backed in one .tar file )
Hi,
I've got the same problem this week. I've upgraded my phone with the russian firmware and, at the first time, I have a very poor performance. Then, I've tried to get back to Gingerbread and got stuck, just like you.
After many tries, I gave up, because I needed to use the phone, then flashed Jelly Bean again. This time the performance was a lot better. I make also a factory reset and rooted the JB and installed No Frills CPU (with conservative governor), and finally I found a good performance, just like the old GB.
Sure, that is a new and modern system, and in a matter of fact it is havier than GB, but with the settings that I told above you may like it. Just give it a try. Overall is better than GB.
Sorry about my english, and good luck.

I am on PA Rom with Yanks Kernel, i have tried many roms on my i9305 , but i am facing a lot of issues with my data signal.
I have to restart my mobile to use internet.
3g internet is slow like 2g internet.
2g doesnt works at all . Most of the time even the normal signal bars go invisible.
What might be the issue ?
Do i need to flash other modem or something ?
Ps- I am from India.
So what happens with stock rom modem and CSC ???

Or extract modem from the rom .

Hey ,
I installed cyanogen mod normally as it was written in the wiki , I installed CWM-Based Recovery v6.0.1.2 (I used the CWM recovery first , but it did not access the internal storage where the roms were , so i went with this one as suggested in the wiki.) and used it to install cyanogen mod 10.1 , I did everything normally , and the rom installed without any problem.
But when im using the phone , it seems fine as long as i keep the screen on , but if i leave the phone for a moment so that it locks itself, it restarts , i tried more versions of cyanogen mod , like 10.0 and 9 and even 7, but still the same result.
I didn't root my phone , as it was not necessary as stated in the cyanogen mod wiki.
What can i do to fix this problem?

Hello again, I tried the way you suggested and I encountered some problems in the way... I have already installed cm , and because of that my phone does not display the baseband number , or the IMEI number.
So how would you suggest I download the correct version of the stock rom of my phone...?
Thanks,
Hey
Just go to sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
The search for the stock firmware for your region and flash it via Odin
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
And after installing stock you can save the efs (imei) then flash JB

Hey again , thanks for the suggestion , its a good idea but the problem is , a friend bought this phone from another guy , so I don't know which network or country it belongs to , and of course there is not version for my country... So how do you suggest i find the correct one for this phone? and if i do download and install the stock version of ... say T-Mobile or something , would that lock the phone to that specific network?
And if so , is it possible to unlock it to be used with any network?

according to your IMEI you have a GT i9000, so just flash a Gingerbread JVU ROM from here, just follow the upgrade procedure all the download links are there , if you need to change modem according to your region, it can be done easily later , when reception is poor or you have network problems. if you need help concerning it, you must tell us where you are located first.

Hey
Read this

Also then check if you have an international variant of the sgs..!!
As long as it the international one you can flash an open / unlock version of the firmware regardless it baseband..(Model No.: GT-I9000 ONLY!!)
BTW I have flashed an UK version firmware for an sgs bought in India..it works..
Then download your firmware from sammobile and flash it..

And to check the firmware version i have to do *#1234# right?
This does not do anything ,
And in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434225
In the "Upgrading or downgrading to Gingerbread" i see in the procedure it says that i have to do
PDA > CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.m d5
PHONE > MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_CL1092175.tar.md5
CSC > GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar.md5
I have the I9000XXJVU CFROOT , but it later says i need PDA > CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS,
How do i find the ones mentioned above?
Or should i just carry on without them?
The PIT is clear, but I cannot understand what to do about PDA , PHONE , CSC and PDA > CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS...
Could you please suggest how I continue?
