Swipepad was working flawlessly on s2, with gb then it was occasionally killed in background on ics with cm9, now on my note with ics, criskelo rom, it's almost useless, it's benign frequently killed in background, the hotspot are also laggy, is there a way to bullet proof this app from being killed,
Any help?

I am using it on Stock ICS. Seems to work fine. A little slow in starting actions at times though.

Does it gets killed in between,i mean you have to open the app to relaunch it?

Hasn't ever done that as yet.

On S2 was perfect, on Note I cant use hotspots on the sides, only on the squares, the other hotspots are not big in size for this res and fails continually.
The dev doesn't even answer the mails and even using the notification icon to avoid the kill of the program, it is laggy and slow.
Kersh
As far as the size of hot spot is considered the new update has provided the option to increase the size of hot spot
But
I'm having the problem of it being killed in the background though i use the notification icon to keep it alive,

SwipePad does have the option to set the size of the hotspots. And it works perfectly well on ICS. I am using it on stock LPA.

I'll suffering too. Only the corners work. The edges are simply not responsive. And this has nothing to do with the app as I've felt the edges to be unresponsive in other apps as well.
The dev is as unresponsive
what i have noticed is that the back key kills the app,i think its the way ics works, it keeps at most 4 in the background, if some one would help me in preventing swipepad from killed in the background would be nice

Have you found a solution for this? Swipepad gets killed constantly on cm10...
Hey guys I got a problem:
When i press back to close some apps like the browser or games, the homescreen shows nothing except the wallpaper. Only after some seconds it loads its content.
Same goes for app screen, it shows they are loading...
Any fix? Using stock GB 2.3.5 cf-Root b84 fix

Not that I can think off, this is probably the launcher being closed as a background activity and it loads again when you press home.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
Low RAM might be causing this, are you using a launcher which uses relatively a lot memory?
The launcher closed which caused it! !

Launcher gets closed.Add this line to build.prop:
HOME_APP_ADJ=1
Just check if this.Go to freeyourandroid.com and double check this tweak.

Why is there so much lag when using the launcher in portrait mode? Everything is silky smooth in landscape. I am on CM9 btw.

I dont get any lag when in portrait mode. What launcher are you using? I use Apex.
Trebuchet but even on apex I get the lag
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda app-developers app
Hmm. Has it always been that way? What version of CM9 are you using? The Alpha or the Nightlies?
Nightlies
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda app-developers app
Well I have no clue since I dont have this problem and I am also using the nightlies. I havent updated my nightly to the latest one. Im still using one from over the weekend. So maybe depending on which one you are using, that could be a problem with that build. Thats the only explanation I have for it.
Can you give me a link to that nightly please?

Just pick a different nightly and see if your issue gets fixed.
youre getting lag in what? when you switch screens, when you launch an app, when you launch the app drawer?? what exactly is lagging? you can also check certain settings such as "surface dithering" "16 bit transparancy" etc in the performance options in the settings menu.
whats your dpi setting? also +1 for apex launcher as the other person mentioned.

I remember reading something similar. In portrait, it's trying to resize the widgets and what not. It can't do it right, thus the lag. It mentioned a launcher that works, but for the life of me I can't remember which. Maybe the new Go Launcher EX, but not sure. I'll post the link if I find it.
I've noticed this since alpha 2. A lot of the UI elements including all of the virtual button animations and even the ICS settings get a bit slow/laggy in portrait. I've noticed this in both trebuchet and go launcher.
I have the same problem.
Hey there.
I have had this problem for a long ass time now but I can't cope with it anymore. My SGS is laggy. When I only browse through the menu it would freeze for a short bit every few scrolls, easily said: lag. Also when playing the most simple games like angry birds I get a really annoying lag.
The device is running on semaphore kernel and slim bean rom. What can I do? Please help, I'm tired of this.

Factory reset or go back to stock. I9000 just isn't built to run to JB.
I have noticed that I have the same issue, it will be great for about 2-3 weeks then becomes extra laggy. Is getting annoying when I want to do things and you have to wait up to 30 seconds before it does something.
Flash this and your lag will disappear, at the same time experience long battery life:

I just picked up a Black HTC ONE and so far I love this phone only thing I'm annoyed by is I am having lag when scrolling and in animations when opening apps and unlocking the phone. I'm not rooted yet cause I am holding off for a little while until development picks up. Is any one else having these kind of problems??? Should I try a factory reset and if I do a factory reset do I have to do a complete wipe of all my photos and music???

don't have this problem. mine is as smooth as a baby's bottom. lol

That sucks for me. My home screen scrolling is fine just in apps it is jumpy
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Mine is rooted but still on stock Rom and kernel and it's super smooth.
I would back everything up and go for a factory reset

Home screens and animations have been nothing but smooth for me..But facebook and twitter and most apps that are not native that have vertical scrolling has been choppy..Not enough for me to care though.
Have you tried simply restarting the phone? Give it a restart, and let it settle for about 10 minutes (Android does a LOT of stuff on bootup, even after the launcher appears).
