I can't seem to find one working. Please point me to the latest working apk.

Unmodded ones won't work for non SE phones. I couldn't find a launcher.apk in the ARC system dump, but found a home.apk. It seems to be the same, so i have attached it.

Can't dowload or can't install? The modded one works on the milestone. I pushed it to /system/app,gave appropriate permissions and rebooted.

Copy it into your sdcard, use your filemanager application, find the app and click on it. The package installer should run and install it.

That one you posted that says home.apk, is a virus or something. I iniistalled that one before and it messed up my market.

They all seem to be viruses or something. The app permissions are nuts, read contact data, services that cost you money.....wtf?

Since MIUI released official port guide on it's forum(in Chinese),if someone want to port it together,i can translate it to english (not google translate),and let's port it
and maybe there already have the translated one that i didn't see it,let's found a team to do it ok? it's a huge work and one man hardly to do it

But there always is one thing that disturbs me about other launchers and that is the missing energy widget... or is there a possibility to implement this?

there is a way
get appwidgetpicker from the attachment. put it 2/system/app & set the permission to 6-4-4.reboot.
now u can have EVERY widget in ANY launcher

We have official gingerbread and cm7, should enough to build it.

You gotta have root access for doing it if not you won't be able to copy it into the system. If you have root access, just copy 'AppWidgetPicker' in system/app. DON'T INSTALL IT!!!

i have root access ,i tried to copy in system/app with filexpert but failed,the same with myphoneexplorer.
Connecting usb i cant see system folder....Any solutions?

I use ES file explorer and i recommend you to use it too. In the settings you gotta set up root access and mount/dismount permission and voila you gonna get it working !!!

Nope! I mean the Iannotate app was released recently for the galaxy note only as a lite app.

Oh sorry mate presently I'm in complete stock as I sent my phone for warranty for issue with s-pen.So only person having root can help you

Best root apps!

This thread is all about root apps. The ones I will post here are the ones that I have tried and are safe. Kindly post some other root apps if I miss some.
First things first, at the very first moment you have rooted ur phone, well you might want to check if its properly rooted. You don't want to have a bricked phone, right? [Q] How to gain root access and possibly some sort of method to unlocking 4.3

Hey guys, so I need help in gaining root access on my phone.
I followed this guys guide to getting to rooting ( under 10 posts, but yeah I followed a youtuber by the name of Qbking77 ), and it was good!,,, Until I used 2 root checkers and they said I don't actually have root access!
Right now I have twrp installed, an unlocked bootloader, and a phone sim locked to sprint and my main goal is to unlock it for a canadian carrier and root it to run custom roms.
I'm even willing to fork out some coffee money if someone can help me out here!
Feel free to ask me questions if you need to know more about my phone, and thanks in advance guys !

Yeah, I did everything as posted in the video that I used, and he flashed it with twrp (sorry if I get the terminology wrong lol)

You may just need to go into the SuperSU/superuser app and update the binaries

Open your app drawer and find the supersu/superuser app and select it to open the app
It will tell you if the binaries need to be updated

Ok so this is what my su looks like,abd when I click that info box nothing happens...so does that mean it's good in terms of the binaries?

There is an app in the themes section but I don't think it's working on 4.3 as of yet.
There is a thread in Q&A I believe has a solution for 4.3 users
