[Q] Bluetooth thether for stock ddkq8 rom?

Bluetooth tether (PAN) works on CM7 ..
Anyway to get a patch for it for stock roms...

Can you tell me how to use that on cm7?? Btw try an app called "wireless tether". It has bluetooth tether option but i never tried that.

'Wireless tether' wont work with stock kernel..

In cm7 rom:
Turn on bluetooth in phone and pc/laptop..
Pair them..
Connect through PAN (personal area network) via pc/laptop..
In my pc i use bluesoleil to connect thru pan..

portable hotspot of roms

may i know which rom (gb or ics) can successfully use portable hotspot?:silly:

Can you explain, what you mean by portable hotspot? Do you mean that you wanna turn your device into a hotspot? If yes, go to setting-->wifi--> hotspot. Should be there somewhere but look it up yourself

yes, portable hotspot mean to turn phone into a wifi router. i know how to use this function but not all roms support this function, so i want to know which rom/ roms support this function

All roms do support it, AFAIK... correct me, if i am wrong.

I rooted my vivid but I can't find an app that works...does anyone knows of a good app that may work...

I have it working , but I think that the kernels I've been using is why , It didnt work before that
Could be in the Rom also but I think its the kernel .

WiFi tether will work - you just need to change the Profile to Galaxy Nexus GSM (or CDMA/LTE from what I've read), tick the box to "Enable routing fix", and set encryption if you'd like. Then it should work. Also, there are ROMs out there that have it working with the stock hotspot app

Audio routing to mono bluetooth hands free

I was wandering why doesnt app like btmono and other work on optimus black this app just simply routes the phone audio to mono bluetooth device without a2dp can anyone tell the solution plz i need it desperately
And why doesnt hotspot shield work on wifi on optimus black whereas orbot which requires root access works fine on 3g and wifi and hotspot shield only works on 3G

Yeah of course, someone will make an app just for you

Cmon not for me all of ob users its just an app it will barely took 10 min for a dev to make it

I had the problem too. Needed to factory reset, not restore anything, and the wifi tether for root app was working again.
Needs specific settings though. I'll share tomorrow sometime if someone else doesn't first. It's easier to paste from the pc.

Device Profile - Generic ICS/JB(wlan0)
Wifi Driver reload - checked

check also routing fix and mms clamping
and enable wifi encyption, might help too
now, this is not the native hotspot, this is for wifi tether for root users.on the market

As promised, the settings (sorry it took some time). These are settings using Wifi Tether TrevE mod

has anyone got the native hotspot working?? i thought it would be working over here for sure.. i just had the galaxy S4 sprint and every rom had the hotspot hacked it was sweet! is it harder on HTC phones to hack??

They got the native working cuz they can't use the WiFi tether app.
We got a modified WiFi tether app to use.

I had it working at first, then after awhile it stopped working. Not sure why but a factory reset fixed it. Try that.
