I'm one of the folks who ordered the N7 during the $234 sale they had a week ago. I've been wondering if our orders would be on the same schedule as Staples/PlayStore/etc. but I'm not so sure. Yesterday, I received this email.

Same with me. Though I bet J&R will get them from Google when Google ships theirs to consumers. So say next week. Then there will be waves because of the ridiculous amount of people that used that option. Then it will talk 1-2 weeks to reach your door.
Basically, expect it next month. Although you could buy some cheap iPod touches locally on Craig's list and trade them in to gamestop for a profit. Then you can get the nexus next week for about $150 total

Still waiting for +Google Play to charge you for your #Nexus7 order and provide shipping details? Did you include the #Nexus7Cover with your pre-order? Read on...
After waiting an hour and a half in the call queue to Customer Support (with an awful infinite loop of a single song), I finally got to speak to a CSR. He looked at my order and explained why I haven't been charged or received any shipping details. As it turns out, they don't have enough stock of the Nexus 7 Cover to fulfill orders. He also mentioned that his personal order looks almost exactly like mine and he just was charged / received his shipping info today. As for when I might receive my details, he mentioned he didn't want to provide me a date (understandable), but that I should be charged/receive shipping details in the next day or two...and ultimately receive my tablet by early next week.
I asked about the possibility of removing the cover from my order to have the tablet shipped out sooner, but he explained that the only way to remove a line item is to cancel the entire order and resubmit it (and I'm not willing to go to the back of the queue).
While I'm disappointed the cover is the reason for the delay, I can say that I'm very happy to know what's going on and that my order wasn't forgotten about.
Please post a comment below if you also pre-ordered the cover and whether or not your Nexus 7 has shipped.

I have a keyboard dock for the Galaxy Tab that has never been used. My boss purchased it with a Galaxy Tab 10.1 a couple years back, not realizing he was buying the wrong keyboard for it. He never returned it and gave it to me the other day to dispose of. It's not worth bothering with on eBay, and I hate to just send it to a landfill. So, I'm offering it here for free. I just ask that you refund the shipping cost (no bloated "shipping and handling" expenses, just exact shipping).

Hmm, I just noticed this and tried calling customer care because I fit the profile, but they claimed to know nothing about this promotion. Is there any other information regarding this?
too bad I had to send mine into LG for repair because they wouldn't touch my phone. guess that means I won't get this credit either.
It was targeted to anyone who had to replace their phone before fix was made. Has to been during that time before September.
You also should try and call back and deal with different reps or ask to speak to a supervisor to get the credit.
