Recomend software

Anyone can recomend me a new software (how to update to 4 version) and more good versions than the 2.3.4.. I'm tired of this version.

If you are tired of 2.3.4 then try 2.3.6 or any Custom Rom (CM7/Emanon etc)
We don't have any official ICS release for galaxy mini but there are various CM9 based roms which give ICS interface but they are too laggy for Daily use .....If u wish to try you can do so you will get the Imstructions in Cm9 dev. post ....

just port its simpler

Yes you are right there are no developers for these roms ,all are into CM9 rom development which is unstable and lagging.plzzzz help us,that is why I requested here.

Hello everyone !!!!!
I have a question:
Is there anyone on XDA-Developers who is interested in/busy with CyanogenMod on the GT-S5830i ??
The thread at www.4PDA.ru (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=335786) is closed and since then I haven't seen anything news about CyanogenMod at XDA-Developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770498).
Maybe we can create a team to continue developing CyanogenMod ??
All help will be appreciated !!!!!

CYANOGENMOD no being developed. To us a lot of mistakes, and nobody wants to help in its development. It was a waste of time

Another question:
Does anybody know which WiFi receiver is in the GT-5830i ?
Because if I know it I can Google it for a driver, maybe I can fix the WiFi problem then.

I saw in another thread that bijoy91 is working on CyanogenMod for the GT-S5830i, so it's not true what you sad that nobody is interested in CyanogenMod !!!!! :thumbup:

(in my opinion, it would be better to concentrate on kernel, as we ever have good roms like simplicity mindcr excalibur... But that's just my opinion)
By the way if you also make a rom, think about a smooth rom, or originaly themed rom (we ever have many ics or jb themed like rom)

[Request] Porting Rom from i9000 to i9001

I hope not to have the wrong section. I have a request to do some developer. It is possible to port the rom for SGS i9000 Cyber-IV Style v7 for my device i9001? Thanks in advance

Hmmm... I don't see why not. There are threads on here that show how you can port roms to other devices, and from the S to the S+ it shouldn't be too hard to do at all.
But I don't know, not a porter myself. You'd have to ask the developer of that rom and anyone who knows a thing or two about it.
