How is done to convert the project in c language for a module .ko?
I was always very curious thinking: "how will the doixanh x8gesture could develop this amazing pinch-to-zoom?". And then I saw all the work was posted on github (never heard), I downloaded and saw that everything was in the form C. Here's the question: how is done to convert the project in c language for a module .ko? I've always been very interested in this project, but when installed it, was already in the final version, and doixanh will no longer develop it
I think it can be improved, because sometimes the module recognizes a touch as if out of the screen (how???) Also think it could have zoomed out the center between the pinch more defined, and the center of the screen .
Can someone please help me? Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks. I see that it is possible to convert the outputted .raw image to jpg. We can somehow say it is done! Just to complicated to be done everyday!
Hopefully they will translate in English and post the ROM in here. Would love to try it out. Lots of outstanding features and capturing images in RAW is exactly what I need.
Taking photos in raw format seems to be working well (someone even posted a photoshop script that'll translate those raw photos to jpeg). However, there are a couple of things that aren't working right now, namely:
Preview isn't working yet.
There seems to be some problem with camera unloading. When you close camera app, the camera won't behave correctly in any other app.
But it is, indeed, a giant leap forward thanks to kalimochoaz

Why I have not posted my work here
Hi all,
I have decided not to post it here this ROM together with Arco ( from the past this forum has been filled of ) for some good reasons.
Yo already have Arco's Gingerbread. This is an excelent ROM
I realy want to have camera working, so I prefere not to doble post ( spanish / english ) takes time.
Not fill this foro with people thinking that the ROM makes photos. This ROM only makes RAW at this moment.
I don't like credit, this is a work together with HTC mania guys and Arco's work. The ROM is from Cyanogen Team, so all credit for them.
If anyone feels that can help, of course, always it will be welcome. I don't need credit as I said before, I need camera working. Take a look at my github, all is in there. I hope in not to much time is in cyanogen so it will be more esasy for all of you to download and compile...
For the ROM statements, Arco's ROM is always one step advanced from mine, He is doing a great work for all of us. Also I am receiving help from HCDRJacob and Cyanogen.
Feel free to take the git or the ROM and suggest for camera topics. More people helping -> more possibilities to have it working.
Thanks for asking for my work.
one question, where are the RAW files stored... i can't seem to find a folder...

Create a directory in sdcard: /DCIM/Camera ( case sensitive ). This camera app is for test so I don't make the directory if it doen't exists and no jpeg can be stored.
Once you go out of the camera reboot the tattoo it will consume resources and you will not be able to go again into camera app witout reboot

I'm trying to follow your excellent work in camera things from few months, and you are the only one that is trying to solve this thing.
Tattoo is not a great phone, hardware is not realy like his major brothers, so lost also camera and fm is realy making me hungry.
Obviusly is not a fault of the people like you that spend lot of time and money (becouse time is money) on this great work, but i think that the most important thing before make a fully costumized rom,is gain a working kernel with at least camera working, i hope that is the point that all rom maker like you are trying to do.
I belive that an opensource community MUST collaborate to gain the max from a common ideal, HTC lost us in the deep space of 1.6, you and others still working hard, but please, do this hard work in english on this forum, just to make us able to test and , others that can, able to help.
Thanks to all rom developer, thanks to you for your hard work, i hope this pray would be recived

I 100% agree. FMRadio probably will never work, but camera would be THE step. And if behind the great kalim there is cyanogen we are in excellent hands.
Hi,
I've searched and even PM'd a couple of people but haven't got anywhere so far with this...
I've ported a rom from the Desire S to the Incredible S and it's rather lovely but I can't get the backlights on the buttons to work. There is a script that I can run once booted but it only lasts one boot so you have to run it again each time - also, rotation doesn't work but that's not a killer really, just a nice to have.
It's only a GB 2.3.7 based rom built on Cyanogen 7.2RC2 so I know this is something very simple for a lot of devs out there (most roms have it working already) but I'm very new at all this and having a hard time teaching myself pretty much anything!
I'm very willing to put the work in but I'm really struggling so anything anyone can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DF
You need to decompile the framework-res.apk
go to res/values and open arrays.xml in a note editor
Scroll down to I think it is config_autoBrightnessButtonBacklightValues
Edit the values (make them like the LCD backlight)
Recompile the apk
I recommend using apk tool for this
OR
You can just copy the arrays.xml from another CM7 rom to save you the trouble
And a question for you, what rom is it?
Oh I could just kiss you! That is great, I've decompiled and can't find arrays.xml but I don't care cos it is a push in the right direction and now I'm rolling... I'll find it somewhere!
The rom is called IncredibleSmoke. It is a port of BlindSMOKE (a mooke os) from blindndumb and it really is a very nice rom to use... It's in the developers forum (but that version had all the device details in build.prop wrong so I will replace it as soon as I get the lights working).
Also have a little issue with the volume controls on the rom. Voice quality isn't great in calls so I have to work on that too.
So you've got it working?
The rom looks awesome, clean looking
Sorry I can't help you with that
Anyway, are you going to post it??
Took a while to get the files. Neither of my source roms had those files (worrying) so I went and got the generic Cyanogen 7.2 release for the Incredible and pulled the files from there. Applying it in a few mins after I finish taking a backup to see if I got it right... Fingers crossed it will work and if it does then yes, I'll be uploading it
After that I'll start to work on the voice quality issues (currently a bit loud, volume in call is not very responsive and the other end can hear an echo).
Hmm. Not so successful. Not that the lights might not have worked but unfortunately can't boot so restoring and I'll go have a look at what I done wrong. Maybe I killed it in the decompile/compile as I don't think the addition of the files itself would have knackered it.
Anyway, second try will come soon

It would be needed in signing the NDA."

Note: This is no longer really necessary, as Google released an alternative keyboard with an option to disable censorship. This is most useful for CM10.1 users that want to continue using the CM10.1-style keyboard. And fortunately, it's compiled for multiple versions of Android, so more people can use it.
Rationale:
I wish to use a broad vocabulary in my electronic communications. I want to type colorful words with the same user interface as other words (gesture typing). I want prediction. I want automatic spelling correction. By default, Android will recognize dirty words but won't correct their spelling and won't recognize them through gesture typing.
There are two keyboard mods attached: one to try out the keyboard, and one that will survive subsequent ROM flashes via an addon.d script. To restore the old keyboard, flash the restore package. I can also make a corresponding keyboard that supports a few other languages. (German, French, and Russian can definitely be added, but other languages would be harder.)
Build Details/Source
I regenerated the Android keyboard dictionaries from their source XML files, after changing them so the censored frequency was the same as the uncensored frequency. A new keyboard was then built. The base for this was CyanogenMod 10.1, so I'm not sure whether this will work on other ROMs. Please let me know. There are not significant changes from the CyanogenMod source. I built the source tree (which included a tool called "dicttool"), then used dicttool to regenerate main_en.dict file from input files en_whitelist.xml and the modified en_us_wordlist.xml (part of the codebase). Inspiration/information came from:
- https://code.google.com/p/softkeyboard/wiki/BinaryDictionaries
Changelog
1.1:
- Used the same predictive weights as the Google keyboard, except where the Google keyboard sets weight=0 (profanity, medical words).
- Added backup/restore capabilities. New users can flash the restore script. (1.0 users will have to install an original LatinIME.apk manually.)

okay, flashed it once again, it works now.
thank you.
I just noticed for some reason "ill" is weighted more highly than "I'll". I'll investigate on Monday. If anybody else notices weird linguistic inconsistencies, please let me know. Cue before cute and cure. I think Google must use a different corpus for this dictionary.
I have flashed twice and still have no luck. I downloaded the first .zip, then flashed it via ROM Manager. The phone rebooted into recovery and I made sure that the package was installed.
What could I be doing wrong?
As I was testing this, I noticed the package sometimes didn't install when I selected it from within ROM Manager. It always installed from recovery, though. Does the md5sum of /system/app/LatinIME.apk start with "19dee2"? It should. Check it with any md5sum checker from Google Play.
Looking forward to next update....

New version
Version 1.1 fixes many incorrect word weights: I was taking the wrong word frequency from the XML dictionary. Also added a restore script (useful for new users only).
Does it work for Italian too?
Can you supply a change-log with detailed listings of words included or added?
How about a post with requests for words to be added?

I took the words that were already in the phone's dictionary (with prediction frequency=0) and gave them nonzero frequency values. I didn't come up with these values myself, they were stored in a different part of the dictionary (being ignored). The list is exhaustive (see attached). If a word you use isn't on this list, the imperfect workaround is to add it to your personal dictionary in the phone's language settings.

The Italian dictionary that comes with CyanogenMod or AOSP Android doesn't have any frequency data at all for colorful Italian words, though they are enumerated. If you can find a linguistic corpus (sample of Italian word usage) that contains at least 10 or 20 instances of every swear word, I can use that to generate frequency data. Gesture typing and prediction don't work well without frequency values, because the wrong words would usually be predicted. So get me a large (very large) sample of Italian language, including all types of profanity (not just the words you like), and I'll regenerate the Italian dictionary.
A large sample of Italian dirty words? Once I found a public bathroom with a list written on a wall: it was named "**** dictionary" and it listed a serie of synonymous... It was "open source", so everyone could add it's own. One wall was already filled up...
Hi, I'm really new to wp8 development..
I'm working out to create wp8 app functioning like instaweather, able to take a photo and apply simple editing like words, numbers to the photo.. so are they any proper sample or tutorial for me?
In addition, I want it also to do some ability to drag the words/text on the screen while people taking photo so that they can put the text on their own wish.. got my point?
thank you for answer
