So yes, I am aware that light themes are draining the battery faster for Amoleds, but frankly I don't care. The thing is that I find that the majority of themes out there just plain suck if you're outdoors, let alone in the sun. So this question is for all those folks who feel the same way as I: what CM9 theme are you guys using?

That sounds like a nice challenge, even tho I don't what sense looks like *off to Google it*
Edit: I looked it up, other than Widgets, and the dock there isn't really anything that different, there's heaps of stuff in the market to emulate it

True, to homescreen is to main thing, but the framework/status bar is nice. It's all clean/colourful

How about something like touch of color for the galaxy s series. It looks soo nice.
Or how about a white honeycomb. Can you make a theme for the alpha? I think it would look siick in white. Just my opinion.

I love the miui rom but I just can seem to stick with it all because of that damn orange. Now I found some really good themes but they never really seem to cover all of it up like the copy and paste, the highlight, pushed buttons even the color of the broader around the input box. It bugs me. Now am I being a bit too picky or can someone point me in the right direction.

Yeah. I'm running MIUI 1.7.22 and it runs and looks great. Love how the theme is incorporated into everything... Highly recommend if you want something different from the MIUI orange. Here's the thread....

No stock red but I have seen a few red themes
from the mind of minolta
There's also a suave theme on deviant art that is blue rather than orange. Comes with some nice icons too.

Yeah it would be sweet ass if there was an red and black stock theme. Suave theme is nice and clean,icons are better then stock blue for sure . Wish there was more black in these themes tho. I still dig it.

Dark White a theme on MIUI.us is the blackest I've seen. NeonGT and neonBT are really well done themes and it's likely there will be a red and black version as he did some clock mods in green, blue, and red.

Looks pretty good, I would add some gradients in there though to make it smoother looking but still keep it glossy

However, neither of them came with the Mario icon pictured in the examples. I know I could simply download my own picture of Mario and use it, which I tried. The problem I have encountered is the background color of the Mario - it interferes with background I have. I would like a transparent background for the picture of Mario - is this possible? I'll attach a screenshot of what I am talking about and the Mario icon I'm using. Thanks in advance!

I do like that battery meter. I had been using the Zelda one, which I like quite a bit, but I believe that the 8 bit heart meter fit a bit better with my theme. Thank you!

I think that 8bit mario goes better with the theme, I've made it less cluttered now. I enjoy using the 8 bit zelda heart meter but I wish I could find a mario one! Oh well, thanks much gplock! I'll attach a picture of my lock screen if you're interested in how it turned out.

Anyone remember this theme purestar alpha? One of my favorite themes. I was wondering if it was possible to port to the one?! I've never tried themeing but I will def try with some help unless an experienced themer wants to take it on.

You got that right. These new drawable-xxhdpi folders, almost everything has to be resized now even from a lot of the newer themes. I think they come up with all of this new stuff to keep us pulling our hair out...lol.

For the main part it looks like the inverted sense theme. With some neon green highlights and green icons... Shouldn't honestly be that hard to be done. If I get some more free time and get tired of dealing with spider man theme for a while, I wouldn't mind whipping that up. the current lock screen no longer has the sense 3/4 ring anymore though. I'll try and get to it sooner than later if possible and will keep you posted.
Haven't looked here in awhile. Thanks for the responses. I'm looking into recreating something similar with more white around the icons fitting for a key lime pie type theme. I think status bar icons and other elements would look great in lime green similar to this theme with a hint of white outlining them and dark backrounds. But I have no experience and I'm just lookin into where I should even begin.
