This, my friends, is an exact example of why people need to read in order to avoid these catastrophes.
Good for you buddy. You just got an expensive brick. I believe you have learned something valuable from this experience.
Care to try again?

Whenever you flash a ROM, this applies:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

The OP must be the most ignorant guy on xda.This is what happens when you don't care to read or research before you start doing things.
Now that this Guy has learnt his lesson, he will never try out custom rom's again!

Well I thought I bricked my go some time ago because of that flashing boot logo in cm9.
Brought it to the service center, they repaired for free and I just flash cm9 again :success:

My friend asked me to flash Clockwork Recovery and CyanogenMod 7 on his Galaxy Mini. Hovewer I have problem with warranty - I know it will be void. Will it be restored when I flash back original Samsung firmware(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255305) using Odin? Is there any flash counter like in Galaxy S II, that counts any unofficial firmware flashing and needs to be reset?
If the stock rom is on the phone and not rooted the warranty is ok. And no we don't have a flash counter

If u wanna play safe,
go back to GB, flash the leak then Liquid...
any reason y u switch from CM9 to Liquid?
OK,thanks

I seem to remember a couple of users going directly from CM9 to Stunner and Liquid and some of them had reported that they lost root. No other consequences than that.
Hmm,that sounds a lot easier.if I did go with this method how would I get root back?

It's easy, yes, but getting root back isn't and the procedure might brick your phone. I wouldn't recommend it, no way. It's better for you to go back to GB as suggested earlier.
OK,thanks a lot dude!

I super bricked (no download mode or recovery mode) my Galaxy Note while restoring from CWM backup last night, I had LP8 installed, binary count is 0.
I have already sent it to the Samsung Service Center, question is: what should I expect??
FYI : My motherboard had been replaced 2 times already earlier due to emmc bug.

What on earth are you doing to consistently brick it? If you're under warranty then you should be ok - given that the emmc is a known issue which they're aware of..
On a side note, I'd suggest not being so flash happy and a little more reading before you mess around..
Good luck..

I was tryin to get navigation bar like that in Nexus, had created a backup if smthin went wrong, I haven't flashed any custom ROM, and ya its under warranty, and I have decided I'll be buying only Nexus series from now on
Good thing you have warranty, but still bricking it 3 times now, I wouldn't want my device on the service center it's inconvenient and really not worth wasting my time, I'd rather be very careful flashing than going to the service center for repairs. But anyways that's my opinion. It's your device and you can do whatever you want with it
Please have a look here, before you transform your note into a brick... for the 4th time

No I didn't do it on purpose, I had followed steps for flashing ParanoidAndroid ROM, I flashed a stock GB ROM as asked, but in both attempts I got my phone soft bricked, is there any guide you can suggest for a fool-proof way of flashing without bricking??

Than I guess I'll have to stick with the stock ROM and wait for next Nexus to be launched, I had GSII previously and flashed ROMs without any worry, and fyi I did follow every instructions, I'm not a noob

There is a safe way to flash, this is why a lot of people do it successfully...
My thoughts are that you followed instruction to a degree.. If you're on a Stock GB there's no fear of Brickbug at all...
I am wondering if you flashed Abyss in ICS - or did not reboot recovery after installing Abyss....
Which steps did you follow and which ROM, I've flashed PA without issue after downgrading to GB via PC ODIN, Rooting with SpeedMod and then flashing PA..

I don't think Galaxy Nexus is coming to India ever. You should probably get it imported or ask some relative to get it for you.

You did not follow the steps.
Stock ICS kernel had the bug that will brick your phone.
Always instal a safe kennel, reboot into recovery and then wipe, then instal new ROM

Restoring in cwm under ics kernel triggers brick bug. This has been documented since the bug was found and is all outlined in the stickies all over the forum. I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for someone bricking for a third time, there's just no excuse for this short sightedness.

We need kernel source first for CWM. Motorola uploaded it in a broken tar.gz, so no one can use it.
Jellybean is coming by the end of the year I believe they said. I am working on it... check out the Jellybean RAZR M leak of mine from their xda General section
How stupid is motorola ?! XD
No statement by them?

If you are rooted and unlocked you can make your own backup files for fastboot flashing. CWM is nice but not needed without a kernel source anyway.

I recently flashed a Carbon ROM intended for N7100 on my N7000, luckily the only thing it did was erase my IMEI. only realized when I double checked what I had flashed that it was a wrong ROM.
