That's not a feature that is available on the current OS build, Tango 8773 - which is still being released slowly or through force update and is available on some custom roms for unlocked devices. As of right now video through MMS is only available on a unlocked HD7 with a custom rom running Tango 8779 or if your device is unlocked you might be able to do it with a registry hack!
I've got a stock HD7 and the send video via text option is there, although it refuses to let me send because the filesize limitations are ridiculous...

I have exactly the same problem. I have searched all over this site for fixes and have installed the newer version of Arcsoft MMS and my settings and all the other things I've found so far and it still won't send MMS. I am now about to sacrifice a lamb and see if that works. If anyone has any other ideas about a real fix, I'd appreciate the help. I don't send MMS all that much, but I would love to do so.
I'm currently running the new PC.Ultimate.V15 WWE that was just posted, but I was having this problem before that. I actually think it must be a simple settings problem, but I have messed with about everything so far and still not had any luck with it. As far as I can tell, everything else works great.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Hi
I have searched XDA-forum after a working solution, but have not found anyone that really works..
I have two problem that really irritates me:
1. Every time i send and recieve MMS i need to accept before the phone can send/recieve.
2. When i recieve MMS with image, the image is very tiny (like a thumbnail), is it possible to show images in original size? If i save the image on my phone and open it, it is in original size.
I can live with problem number 2, but not problem number 1.
I am using my Xperia with Telia simcard (swe).
Really looking forward to read your solution!
which rom do you use?
i had the same problem i think its a common fault if you search on here you should find to files you install which will sort the prob out
With R2A and R3A the problem is solved.
The manual solution:
change the reg with the follow values:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]
"Accept-Charset"="us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2;ISO-8859-1"
"User-Agent"="prodigy/arcsoft-mmsua-ppc-3.0.0.xx"

Guys im battling with my MMS settings for my X1, pls help
im on vodacom and my phone has the vodafone live mark on it.
I got setting off the vodacom website but i still cant send or receive mms
When I recieve a MMS picture and go to view it, it is very small is only like 3-5kbs. Is there a way to set it to download the picture full quality?
It's a curse of having a WVGA screen. There needs to be a way to resize/enlarge MMS pictures within the messaging app.
If there is a way to do this, I'd like to know too...
It's fixable - do as this message says and the pics will be full size and not compressed to the 5kb you stated: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2926070&postcount=14
Possible fix ...
I had a similar problem on my xperia with the mms pictures showing up very small.
The attached cab fixed mine along with a friends x1 with the same issue.
(Tried to find the original thread I found this but couldn't so I've just reuploaded the cab)
I will give the cab a try since the rededit seems harder. thanks guys!
Ok, so i gave the cab a try and it made it so i couldnt even send or receive mms!
I wanted to to the other suggestion but as i have an X1, the lines are different

I had same issues initially but via regedits upped the send limit to 600kb. I also insert pictures from within the drafted mms. If I select a pic to send via mms directly from say picture viewer, I still get crappy small pic. From within mms it is fine.

Do you mean you didn't try the regedit because it says NokiaN97? It's fine, just put it in, it's just for your network's servers to have an idea of what MMS your phone can handle - NokiaN97 settings are good for the X1.
Hmm ... strange, it fixed the small mms images recieved on my x1.
(I will remove the cab from the previous post.)
Where has the cab gone?
try this cab i made and let me know if it works.

Hi All,
I've been doing a bit of reading about this issue, and there's varying information about it.
Basically, when I receive and MMS, the quality is downsized (for a photo), or a video, may simply be truncated.
When I receive the request, the app says MMS ready to download, 49kb. I accept the download, and then view, if it's a photo, it's usually 15kb at a res of abour 280x150px.
If it's a video it still says it's 49kb, then I hit download, and it downloads the message, but says the attached file is corrupt.
Now I know the files aren't that size when sent from the source.
People have suggested it's a problem with the useragent coming from the phone, and Telstra (my provider) has an issue with an "unrecognised device" and defaults to the lowest settings possible.
I've tried chompsms and handcent, same issue - and I can't find the option to change the useragent for MMS.
Others have suggested hacking the mms.apk file, but we don't have that, only conversation.apk
(Now i'm wondering if the issue is in messaging.apk ?)
Has anyone got any ideas about this issue? It's not a Telstra issue, I was doing this just fine on my previous phone. :/
Cheers.
Still had no luck with this. Just dropped my SIM back in my old HTC TP2, and boom! 252kb MMS's are back. (Just had one come in that refused to download).
So i've also stuffed up my Conversations apk & odex...
Any quick ways of getting those out of the recovery .img files?
Edit : Just reflashed system.img using fastboot and it's fine.
Just a final heads up on this.
It seems it was a Telstra issue, for some reason it just magically started working correctly today. 2 New MMS received today at the correct quality.
No changes to my phone, and I did NOT talk to Telstra about this. How strange!
