downloading thanks
Will have a look tonight
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
i installed
my first comment is haptic feedback vibrating is more long
Lol can't LG just make up their mind if they want the haptic feedback to be long or short
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
i feel it is very laggy
Some more feedback and/or rooted zip?
Beside Haptic Feedback, are there other changes (visible) in this rom? Does it worth the trouble to update?
yes tell us
how does the rom feel? any other changes??
i am using about 4 hours. very early to feedback.
but i agree with George Jetson. haptic feedback returned old situation.
and starting free ram 32mb. i removed unneceserry apks and it is about 180 now.
i feel some lags in 2 3 reboots. now it is ok. no more lags.
it is smooth and no fc or sods.
i cannot say anything about battery life because i used it 4 hours.
here is version info
Could you please make a flashable zip of this new 20S ?
V20S antutu test
P.S. SD class 6
V20s- Rooted Nandroid backup zip, vanilla
Download
Or if you want to flash with Smart Flash, TouchRecovery Included, Superuser included in zip, copy Superuser.zip to memory card then flash from memory card after using smartflash to flash main rom!
Download
so anyone feel it is laggy?
I don't know, but I really like how the home launcher behaves, it seems to be cached somehow, there is no shuttering (or at least it's much less) when first scrolling left right like in other firmwares (I had 20Q before).
In Antutu I got 2550, so it's the same as other stock roms!
Good news! I'm happy to haven't modified yet V20Q...

OMG I can't say the same...
I've been testing this 20S, and the battery consumption seems to be lower than the previous versions.
I also feel that LG Home launcher is much smoother now.
Changes from v20Q
- Included Google Play Books (BooksPhone.apk)
- Included Google Play Movies (Videos.apk)
- Minor changes into FlexProvider.apk (carriers, bands, languages, and some other data related to connections)
- Minor changes in boot.img (kernel and ramdisk)
where do you find this changelog ?
thx

Any screenshots? And is the the theme that has the landscape problems, the Lunar theme? Btw if it is that theme it should have credits to Lunar's creator. Otherwise, good job.
Seems my upload keeps failing in the middle.... I will get this up no worries please be patient. In the meantime I will upload some screens.

This makes me happy seeing someone else trying to dev for this phone. anyone got any good resources on learning to cook for android. Ive found info on writing apps but not the roms themselves.
Urabewe I would love to help you in any way possible. Beta, theming, and once i figure it out kernel work. PM me...
First Post updated with Franlov Kernel version, stock version coming up.
My main project:
Spring Water Froyo Source Project
Building Froyo from source with LG source code which will get around any ATT crap that they did. Plus, it seems that a lot of what LG did actually isn't in the source because building from source you get none of the LG based apps, you get Launcher instead of LGHome etc. I have already gotten a successful build, it's just a matter of getting it to boot because they only supply the open source elements, I have to put the drivers/firmware and other things in there that are proprietary and not provided. Once I can get it booted I can start editing the actual source code. Plus, getting away from the stock ROM will be nice.
Everything I learn I am going to put into the GB update once we get that. I am hoping to get a full stable working from source Froyo build BEFORE the GB update if I don't, then all focus will be diverted to GB instead and I will work on getting a stable version of that.
Great job guys!!! Looks very nice. Looks like I know what I'll be doing tonight.......some well overdue flashing.

I can honestly say that the best tutorial I had was trial and error. I never really looked at any tutorials.
If you go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167623
This is a tool that will help you A LOT in editing, decompiling, compiling and a lot of other things. It will get you to the point to where you can edit, it won't edit anything for you though. You might need a few tutorials on that one
I will shoot you a PM here soon, busy right now well posting, uploading and I STILL haven't gotten back to my source build, it's just sitting there... all lonely... neglected... poor poor thing...
Both versions now up, there may be an update sometime tomorrow and working on yet ANOTHER surprise for everyone. Keep your eyes posted you never know when a new release, update or apk will be uploaded.
OK, time for a bit of a break then dive into Spring Water project. I hope everyone enjoys having at least a small amount of variety now and I plan on keeping things fresh as much as I possibly can.
Oops accidental double post... triple... I dunno, sorry
Just flashed, booting up now and greeted with a pretty cool boot animation. I like it already. Keepin' me on my toes.
Found a minor bug already. When you use the android keyboard, there is black on black text when you press the keyboard button, it doesn't show the letter you pressed.
Thanks for posting, noticed that too, there are a few things that still need to be finished up tell you the truth. Just felt it was ready for beta since it was pretty stable.
BTW gr8danes which did you flash stock kernel or franlov?
Can the franlov kernel be OC'ed?

Put some info and a link to where the kernel came from in first post. I was up basically all night last night messing around with stuff got a few hours sleep then started again. Just to build froyo it took about 2 hours on my laptop which is all I have, the first time it didn't build correctly so had to do again second time finished completely. So that was about 5-6 hours just compiling and what not. I will post more info and everything tomorrow along with an update thanks to trek who is fixing the black on black keyboard problem and adding some eye candy. I will probably slim down the rom a lot of stuff isn't needed. Hope to have more for everyone soon. Right now, Im calling it an early night and getting some sleep.

i am pretty sure you have friends that have high end phones. Also you surely might have bragged about the latest android 4.2.2 on your little mini while their s3 or note2 is stuck on ics or jb 4.1.
Though we have cm10.1 but according to my experience its a bit unreliable yet one of the best roms out there .
I thought that as stock roms are odexed for better stability performance as well as battery life maybe i should try it put with cm 10.1 and see the results well the results were pretty good so i decided to share it with you guys
NOTE:If you dont know what odex and deodex are then i suggest you google the terms and read a bit about it.
This ROM is under GPL and its source code can be found HERE
The name is not a rip off from spb shell or spb tv
stability +performance+battery life =SPB
anyway the ui is exactly same.
There is no difference however between rohans cm10.1 and mine except for the fact that this rom is odexed and a bit slimmer thus giving a bit better output .
I have included some tweaks and also tried to port the para4 tweak not sure if successful but music should be pretty good.
this is still a beta ie work in progress
whats working
everything!!
V4 PERFORMANCE PLUS AVAILABLE
features
around 100%odexed (i
init.d scripts and tweaks
sysctl.conf tweaks for fast networks

many more cant remember
V4 P+ bugs:

you tell me
V4 P+ Installation
you must have some cwm in your phone before flashing

NOTE: these are the settings that i use and may or may not work for you. each gal mini is unique in its way ....mine is weak:silly:
so here they are
a lockscreen ui bug exists but (will fix in next build) a work around for now>>sttings>>lockscreen>>maximise widgets ticked
now when you start the phone you can see a lock below just kepp it touched for a second to unlock the phone..
settings>>about phone>>tap build number continuosly to enable developer settings:good:
now settings>>development>>show all anrs ticked and also enable usb debugging
settings>>performance>>enable 16 bit tranceparency
disable surface dithering
>>memory management>>zram disabled and enable the other two
settings>>performance>>cpu settings>> max=729 min=245 governer=smartassv2
these are the settings now for extra enhancements
1. TRY Bravia Engine V2 shared by f4uzan in themes and apps section
2. Seeder is good for lag reduction but eats up battery (not much though)
3.You may also try to use pimp my rom tweaks while some of them are pre-included
4.MUST TRY RAM manager pro (paid but worth it) set it to more multitasking
5.Dont expect too much of me or your mini after all its an old phone and did (does ,will do) great......(its a mini not an S4)

did odexing help as in does it actually allow for a faster and better system(yes i know what odex and deodex mean).
also what all did you remove. And what all is odexed.

Yes... Odexing makes system fast because device does not need to access dalvik cache for every app in /system.
98% odexed which means only systemui.apk and some other app are left so that themeing works.

Sometimes it works for example systemui is not odexed in next release for theming and still it works but you should try for yourself though the chances for non system apps are not much.

Is the RAM usage lower if odexed?
This is a tweaked versions of CARBON-JB-v1.8-i9300 so all credit goes to the Carbon Team for the ROM.
Changes Made:
Added Motorola Launcher with Circle Widget and KitKat 4.4 Launcher.
Replaced stock gallery with Sony Z Album and Movie app (Facebook & Twitter integration working.)
Added Sony Z Walkman app with UPNP/DLNA Media Server.
Added Moto X Camera, some features not working. See link for details.
Replaced the default kernel with the Boeffla-Kernel 2 by Lord Boeffla.
Added BeatsAudio+xLoud+ClearAudio and ViPER4Android.
Added Mobile BRAVIA® Engine for improved video processing.
Modified Adobe Flash 11.1 with Hulu support.
Facebook sync working.
KitKat Apps. Google Now, Hangouts with integrated SMS, Calendar, Email, Keep ect.
Forced all rendering to be done on the GPU. Should help with gaming and make things more smoother.
GoogleEars.
Kick Ass Kernelizer
Auto-zipalign and defragdb on boot
Auto Calibration on boot. Only does a few programs each boot. So may take a few reboots to calibrate all of them.
Plus many improvements taken from this thread + many others.
I also added some terminal commands.
Run each command with SU first then the command.
fixfc - Fix apps force closing.
sclean - Clean the dalvik cache and cache partition
v6 - run the V6 SuperCharger script. I have tested this but it seems to make no improvements.
Know bugs
Not a bug as such but something you should be aware of. It does take a few reboots to optimise all the apps.
On first boot you need to hold down the power button to reboot the phone (I normally do this at the setup screen). You only have to do this once and will reboot fine afterwards.
Any more issues please report them.

I am hoping the lack of feedback is due to there being nothing wrong with the ROM

hy thanks for nice room..but it's have small bug at Mobile Hotspot
when i try to turn on always off again and than my tab trying to turn on again and off again
always like that,,hope you can solve this issue at new version cheerss
I think its best this rom is debloated and moved to pure android because the ram usage is ridiculous and there is just too much of a mess with that bloat crap.
You mention alot of features but I can't find the ram manager thing you mention. Is this rom already busyboxed and init.d script tweaked or Am I missing something?
Is it possible to change the status bar icons to that of lollipop.?
at least, this rom could be a solace for waiting CM11 released
I should try it tonight...

You missing. I don't based ram manager on init.d or build.prop, just script based team kernalize.
