I modded some common widgets to match the new persistent search bar in jellybean and thought you guys may enjoy them.
*** I built these from the system apps in the latest Jelly Bean ROM for the Nexus S 4g. I don't see any reason these should not work- except possibly the settings app because of 4g, etc.
If someone could test and let me know I would appreciate it. I only have NS4g.
As with anything, I would recommend a nandroid before applying these. I make no guarantees it won't be an issue on the Nexus S. Do not use if using anything besides JellyBean.
If someone would like to make a flashable zip, have at it and I will credit and add to this post. I am beyond noob and don't know how to get that working.

Take what you want from my work and use any way you would like. I would like a linkback though.

I will have to download the 4.1.1 source ROM for your phone later and modify as well.

I could give it a go. I work until 2000EST so I will not get to it until tomorrow.
If you would like to do it yourself, it really isn't that hard.
Extract desired apk
Copy one of the widget background images from the packages I linked to the widget background images for your apk
Re-zip contents and change .zip to .apk
If you make any, link 'em and I will add to OP.
I will try to work on some more Wednesday or Thursday.

This is based off a BlackMod theme I've been using since my original Droid. Simple black bar and icons based off Sense, pull down has been modified slightly. No other changes. Install with MM and reboot.

EDIT: forgot to mention that I changed the pop up windows (3rd screenshot) to match the Droid X. I think it tones down the blue just enough.

Link doesn't work.
I do like the sense notif and galaxy s battery though.
Sorry, works now.
yeah, I thought the blue battery worked well since the rest of the Galaxy theme was blue-centric.
i applied it, rebooted, and everything was still the same lol
Hmm...try again? I've heard sometimes metamorph is picky.
twice so far and nothing. i tried to unzip it through metamorph and applying it and unzipping it on my computer and applying it. both didn't work
Was there any sort of error, or does it appear to be working and then nothing changes?
it appeared to be working, but then nothing changed. I just redownloaded the file and it worked. thanks! looks good
Ok, glad you got it working.
looks great thanks

do you have to be dexoded to use themes?
Quick question,
If I were to use this and want to revert back to the stock look (for whatever reason) what would have to be done? Are there certain files I should backup or just the respective system/framework .apk's?
Thanks!

Not sure exactly what happened with your .9, but it wasn't working at all. Never to fear though! I got your back. How's this look?

Do you have any scrennshots ?
Are these APKs working with the DHD ?
lol. dude I am still uploading so please wait.
look forward to seeing the screenshots
It looks great, but sadly the vertical alignement of the Launcher is off, goes down under the screen.
Safe to install, but unless this issue is due to CM7 nightly, it will need a little re-working
Maybe somebody with a different ROM can see?
EDIT:
Plus many apps will not install.
Another thread does list the apps that do work, and they are quite few (Digital clock, photo viewer, media widget, infinite view thingy).
From what I gathered the Phonebook and such FC, so have a Nandroid backup before trying ^^
In fact, I've tested installing most of the apks from the SE Xperia Arc system dump but not all are able to be installed on desire hd, even if they do, you'll probably get either force close or resolution-mismatch problem.
If you wish, you may refer to my thread to look for apk that are confirmed to work on desire hd
Here's my thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=974548
oh didn't notice you had a thread already, dang I should probably close this thread then.
I think ur post is more organized than mine, I'd rather close mine
Hey tids2k,
You seem to have quite a lot of stuff installed from seeing your screenshots. What is the rom you are using? Are those things all functional?
I'm on cyanogenmod 7 nightly 8

same here... But many will not install. no FC in the Phonebook or others? I read reports about those on the general android theme and apps forum.
Phonebook works not the phone dialer. Dialer needs coding.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
The other reason for fc's can be mismatch of resolution. Editing XML files may help.

Hm...so, which APK is supposedly the Japanese IME? Sorry, might be just me, but I got lost there...
Well alright, thanks!

Not taking ANY credit for this launcher and sorry for posting it up again since Sonnysekhon already discussed it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978990&highlight=sony+launcher but it didn't get much acclaim because someone pointed out it didn't fit right. I'm pretty sure it came from the guys in the Android development forum here, somehow I got my hands on it and tried it and loved it since this one is the right dimensions for the NS.
All I did was theme in some more transparency into the backgrounds and dock. Been running this on my Nexus S(gsm) for months and love it.
I've tried every launcher out there and like them but this is always my goto launcher at the end of the day. Its works great at being minimalistic and very organized at the same time.
Unfortunately its not the greatest for customizations and definitely miss notification pulldown gestures. Its also set at 5 screens only but since the dock folders can hold everything inside them and are scrollable its not a problem.
Just thought I'd share it

Thanks dl it now
Thanks! I will try it.
i might be a bit offtopic but how did you get the transparent notification bar?
This is pretty nice and very snappy. But it is not centering things for me.. everything but the main dock is scootched to the left with my lcdd at 210...

Hi to every one! I've tried this launcher but the dockbar application are cut ... someone else??
Can I install this by installing the .apk that's in the system folder?
What do I do with the contents of the META-INF folder?
I can't flash this one because the Nexus S I'm trying to install it on isn't rooted.
Thanks!

I ripped the new squared icons from the new MIUI ICS release and added a lot of new icons in the same style to cover my own apps.
There's a blank png in the package so you can create your own. Enjoy.
