Where are the USB drivers?? - Nexus 7 General

Hi,
I have been searching for a few days now trying to find win USB divers for this device with no success, anyone know where these are?
Thanks

Not sure if this helps or not, but for unlocking and rooting purposes on my Nexus 7, I was able to use the Samsung drivers that were used for my Galaxy Nexus. I didn't have to install anything new since I had already installed them when I was working on my phone.

The drivers from pdaNet worked for me:
http://junefabrics.com/android/download.php

searching for days?
doubtful, but heres a free bone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766220

The toolkit found in the Dev section has them and a step by step to set them up manually. They are the same pdanet drivers.
Days later, standing in the same place...

Thanks for advice guys

If the device has Debugging checked it won't install the drivers. If you uncheck this and then reconnect it should then find and install the drivers with no issues. After that turn on Debug and start hackery.

Same here, running a 64 bit machine, pdanet was the only thing that worked for me.

[Q] how do I USB teather on 2.3.5

Hi I want to USB teather but it said that the kernel does not support it.
Any ideas or fixes for this. I'm using 2.3.5 and my pc is windows xp. Here's what it said the kernel needs.
This means that the Linux kernel on your device does not have the features (CONFIG_NETFILTER/CONFIG_IP_NF_IPTABLES and/or RNDIS) required for tethering. If you have an ADP G1, please read (or ADP16KernelUpdate if you're using Donut), otherwise you will need to find a firmware/kernel with these features.
lol doesn't mean nothing to me can anyone help.

Which version of Super One Click?
And what Android Version are you using?
Because SuperOne have added zergRush Exploit in latest version, which is only best working exploit for galaxy Note.
but better to go with latest version of zergRush Exploit (DoomLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit (zergRush Exploit)
ChainFire also using this.

I have the same setup and it worked fine. I had a problem with the drivers not being installed right. If using Kies turn off usb debug and plug it in so it connects. Then follow the instructions for root.

That tool should help you uninstall drivers too. You need to remove then install drivers. I don't think the tool i liked you is specific as it came from Samsung not sprint.

Find a rooted rom and install it.

Hey! Just got mine over the weekend, and spent four freaking hours trying to root it using the toolkit before giving up and using ADB *shudders*
Why is it so hard to root this thing compared to the SGS3?
Not sure if trolling or really dumb

I spent quite a bit of time researching the best way to root my N7 before I actually did it. I bricked my HP Touchpad when I hacked it to put Android on it and it took me a while to fix it. I didn't want to go through that again with my primary tablet, the Touchpad was just an impulse buy when the dropped the price.

fastboot oem unlock, fastboot flash a custom recovery, flash the su binaries or a custom rom in your new recovery, then reboot and profit.

I've said this before and I'll say it again... drivers.
Once you get past that, yea the rest is easy. Not sure if the OP is my bud but I just walked my friend through a long driver horror fest known as rooting the N7.

Agreed, drivers are the hardest part, be it the 7 or galaxy nexus. Windows finds the drivers that don't work with adb, then I ended up spending at least a half hour per device finding the correct ones and installing them. The actual act of unlocking it was a two minute process.

several years ago i used the download from the pdanet site to install the drivers for my nexus s onto my work computer. since then they worked for an og droid, my galaxy nexus, and two nexus 7. pdanet is a tethering program for android. if you do the free download on its site( http://junefabrics.com/android/ ), install it on your desktop, then follow the onscreen instructions, itll install the right drivers for you. it takes about 10 minutes.
I used pda net to get drivers into my computer to root my Nexus S.
Will these drivers work for the Nexus 7?

It's not.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
(enter recovery)
adb sideload superuser.zip
adb reboot
I thought Wug's toolkit made it easy, even installing the drivers. I've used adb since to root my girlfriend's Nexus 7. Both processes are easy on the N7 compared to some devices, from what I've heard.
