I think I may just buy one of those for the meantime while other cases come out. I don't want to scratch my Nexus 7 one bit. Case is definitely worth it for the price of $5.95 + Free Shipping. I like cases that don't add much size, so I may just get a case and screen protector for now.

That's an iPad pictured.
The ports on the top look useful. Always good to have extra ports that don't connect to anything.

$10 bucks isn't bad. Haven't done a great deal of digging yet though for other cases.
Wondering if At&t is going to have any cases on launch. They have been historically bad in the past at carrying anything but iphone accessories on new launches.

Says it ships 12/1.
I'm hoping AT&T includes a screen protector with it. They have with all other smart phones I've got from them.
Amzer® Silicone Skin Jelly Case - Black For Samsung Focus I917
got this case and happy with this. it fits perfectly and having openings for the main ports. could have been much better if supplied with a screen protector.....although I like it.....................
how'd you get it before the ship date and before the phones even out?

I can't find a single site selling a silicone case for the Focus right now - or any case for that matter. Where did you get yours?

Just ordered the Amzer Jelly case. It is a stop gap until better cases come out. Fommy is running a special right now. If you act quick, you can get 10% off and free shipping. I paid $8.95 total using promo code "PRESHOP". Good until 23NOV 23:59 est.
Picked up a $7 case on ebay, black silicone. Should arrive any day now and it will tide me over until something better becomes available.

Got my ebay case/skin. It's rubbery, fits well will contours matching the back of the phone. Camera, power, and volume are raised nubs, not cut-outs. Actually this helps with button actuation. Changes the feel of the phone in the hand substantially for the better. You have more control while typing, and you don't feel like the phone will squirt from your hand. Note this is the rubbery-soft type, not the gel type of skin (e.g. like the BodyGlove that AT&T sells).

Is this the one you're talking about? it's pretty cheap and i looked at some people's feedback about the case and they said it was good as well.

Yeah, that's the one, or an equivalent from another seller. I'm sure they are all exactly the same. The kiosks at the mall would sell it for $20.

I try the ATT, I wasted my money. It is so tight that the power button is aparently pressed, so become very sensitive. to avoid this I drill a whole in the gel. Not good

Yeah I'm also curious. I'll probably order it once I see that someone else actually has it haha.
Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case
I ordered the Amzer Silicon Skin Jelly Case for my Samsung Focus from Amzer.com and WOW!!! ... talk about absolute perfection!
I tried the $34 one from the AT&T store and it seemed like an idiot designed it and so of course I didn't expect much from a $10 case but figured it would be something until more are developed for this type of phone.
Boy was I wrong about this being a temporary fix because this $10 thinhg fits absolutely perfect, no obstruction with the buttons, looks amazing, feels like it protects this thing PERFECTLY! and feels so velvety smooth & grippy.
The reason I got mine already is because the black color is out of stock but not the other colors and so I ordered black for myself and maroon red for my wife and so they shipped hers already with no extra shipping charges. AND might I add that the maroon red doesn't look girly at all, it actually looks pretty bad-a%% with the black color of the phone. Of course I'm still waiting for my black one BUT for those want it now, the maroon red is the coolest color right after black.
I just ordered 2 of those jelly cases for the Wife and I, and I ordered a cool leather pouch w/belt clip case from www.focusaccessories.com to hold mine at work...
Could you post pics of your Focus with the Amzer case?

care to elaborate? I've been using mines and i love it. the side buttons are so easy to press compared the NS without a case
i dont like to use case.
Ever try to take it off? my screen protector didn't fit the screen properly, and i would prefer the price was -10 from best buy ($40). But all in all a decent case and i'm glad i bought it. Oh and if the front bumper was a little taller to protect the screen from a drop (or one of those glass protectors). lots of little things.

Yeah, I'll agree its difficult to take off. But honestly, if you're using a case.. you shouldn't be taking it off consistently. It should just be once in a blue moon. When I'm comparing the way to take this case off to a Otterbox Defender, this is easier. But at least its not too LOOSE where it would fall out.
I don't use screen protectors, so I don't know. You paid $40 for it? I paid $35, there was also a coupon for a % off that would bump it down to $28 or so.
The front bumper is tall enough as it is. The screen wont touch with what its being faced on.
In the end:
+ Better grip
+ Easier to press side buttons
Worth it IMO.
has anyone tried the pop case in the I9023? will it fit inside?
today i went out to buy another nexus 7 for my wife, after buying a bunch of accessories for my first one, i realized that many of these generic stuff are pretty much the same, I got in on a couple leather folio cover type cases for 5 bucks shipped when it was posted here, but my wife thinks that the flap is annoying and wants to get a simple tpu as well as a screen protector for hers (the 5 dollar folio one i cannot use the NFC google wallet unless i pop the tablet out from case)
personally I hated the xtreme something wet application screen protectors, it grips too much and makes swiping difficult, I tore mine off the screen in less than a day (i laid it on perfect, no bubble btw) but it was just annoying, so back to the regular dry application screen protectors
as for the TPU cases, to me the simpler the better, I don't care much about their so called designs as they look all look ghetto to me, I much rather to have a plain case with no design on it, having a X or S does not make my tablet any faster or better looking.
for 1 I don't like the x design on the other TPU case and don't feel like paying a few extra dollar for the S design case, so I ordered this one, nice grip i'd imagine, will see when it arrives
http://www.amazon.com/Exact-Design-...=1344802737&sr=8-18&keywords=nexus+tablet+tpu
then since i like to poke my tablet with a stylus, i'd figured that it would be a good idea to slap on some screen protector, I never had the matte anti glare one, so this one looks good as i can have both and in case i don't like the matte one i just tear it off and put on the regular clear one.
http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Duro...sr=1-5&keywords=nexus+tablet+screen+protector
as for the stylus part, we have a amazonbasic one, and some generic cheap ones, to be honest save your money as they both feel pretty much the same and if you are like me who loses pen easily, get the cheap one, i also have the motorola xyboard one that i keep at the office, it looks good and thats about it.
and if you are not in a rush, after rooting the tablet, order a couple of these OTG cables as it takes a while to get here from China

Interested to hear on how your purchase worked for you.
Oops...just read your post in my summary thread. I'm considering getting the screen protector you recommended as I need to buy for two tablets and the others are way too pricey.

S Style TPU case, screen protector and a mini-stylus - £3.29.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221111761...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Bought 2 of these and they arrived yesterday, gotta say I am a huge fan! $5 with free shipping, arrived in just over a week and fits the nexus 7 like a second skin.
It raises the front of the device so it won't be scratched if face down on a surface, has all the cut outs for charger, volume, power etc and the design looks nice and it doesn't feel cheap at all.
Will post pics when I get a chance but thought I would give a heads up, instead of paying $30+ for the other cases..this is a winner!

Hey fellas,
I normally post on the Galaxy S3 accessory forums but a few of my viewers have been asking for Nexus 7 product reviews, so I've gotten some cases in and will review them. The first I received was the Cruzerlite Androidified case, which is a simple TPU case that wraps around the sides and back of the tablet. It features a distinct 'android army' imprint on the back, which has a slightly matte finish to it. It's lightweight and offers decent protection, so it is a good 'average' case. It retails for $20 and comes in a myriad of different color options.
If anyone is interested in a giveaway of these, let me know. I can get a few in from Cruzerlite is there is enough demand
Check out my full video review below for more info;
Its a nice case, Id get one in red but IDK if a tpu case is worth $20.00

Great job on the review ! Id love one in Orange looks really nice
I have an Androidified case for my GNex, and I liked the design (and price) of that version much better than the one for the Nexus 7. But I have to say it does scratch fairly easily. I treat my gadgets very gingerly, but just being slid around on my desk at work or put in my purse during traveling (in a pocket away from my keys and other things that could damage it) it still picked up lots of little scratches.
At any rate, I don't like the "lots of tiny Andys" design as much as the "one large Andy" version, and for $20 I don't think it's worth it, considering there are other TPU cases available that are also good quality for about half the price. For $20 you can get the ASUS travel case, which isn't everyone's favorite, but it has a nice feeling finish (due to the microdots all over it) and the front flap, which to me is the better deal. If you tape a thin magnet to the front flap of the ASUS case you'll have a serviceable smartwake function, as well.
Good review, it just helped me realize that this case is not for me, and I wanted to make sure people knew about the scratching thing. It's not terrible, but it can happen and it does mar the finish of the case, at least on my GNex anyway.
