How to import Nokia 6300 contacts - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey!
I would like to ask that if there were any way to export contacts from my nokia 6300 to my SGA... I tried this:
Export contacts into .csv via Nokia PC Suite and then import it in KIES but it didn't work because the KIES says that the .csv file is in wrong format.
Thanks in advance!

just instaled GingerIceCream and now no kies

hi guys, i installed the GingerIceCream yesterday, is working just great, the only problem i'm having is that i just can't connect to kies. i already reinstaled it with the drivers in the computer also...nothing..my only problem is that i don't have my contacts in the phone, i have them in *.bak* and *.spb* docs saved in the computer with the kies before i instaled this version. do you know if there's any way i can restore them to the phone because i can't find any answer to this. thanks!
Only way to do so is to restore a stock rom (odin)
Since kies doesnt recognise custom roms.

If you had made a backup on google, you can sync the contacts and get them back
How did you manage to install a rom? I thought that roms can only be flashed! :
well i think i will have to put them manualy!!
ok, i managed to transform the outlook contacts into *.msg* files, but i just can't find a msg to vcf converter..are all paid..anyone knows one? thanks!
There's a converter in Windows 7 itself. Aren't your contacts synchronized with Gmail?

No need to use Google Sync.
After installation of CM10, just open Contacts then select import/export from menu and choose 'Import from storage' and then select your saved contact file...and you will be done...

That's the way I'll go bud.
Google sync does it automatically, you need just to have your phone logged in a Google account. You need one to use play store anyway

Any other option other than Google sync to import contacts like in Gingerbread ?
After importing contacts from SD card...by default google mail contacts is also showing
Even on customization, it is not possible to show only imported contacts of sd card
Any easy way to solve this problem ?
What I do to avoid that is right after setting my google account I disable Google sync in settings. :3
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda premium
Other than Google sync for contacts solution is to...>
First delete all Contacts in ur Gmail in PC.
Then in Contacts>Contacts to Display>Customize>(ur email)>there delete all groups
Now come back and set the option >All contacts
Now just import the vcf card of your SD card....that's it...

Aye, this app does the trick, easy to use too.
The only negative side is that if you have periods next to some of the contacts (as if in delimiting surnames), it's going to copy them to the SIM card without the periods, and if you already had those same contacts saved on the SIM card with periods included, you're going to end up having duplicates. Also, at times it duplicates the contact with no reason whatsoever - possibly because that contact had some new information (like an e-mail) which differs it from that same contact on the SIM card with the exact same number.
There might be something to prevent this in the settings, too lazy to check it over now.
All in all, OP... use this app to solve your problem.
I have google account? i guess you do ?
If u ever synced your contacts with google then go to google contacts on your desktop ( cant post link , couse I'm a noob) and login.
There u can find your contacts and export them

[Q] Import wifi passwords from old phone

Hi,
i tried to import my stored WIFI passwords from my old Xperia Mini Pro in my new SIII mini.
So far i used the tool Wlan Backup & Restore from the market and also copying the wpa_supplicant.conf via root explorer (including changing the device description).
But somehow the passwords are not imported.
Anybody who can help here?

Titanium Backup cannot restore the WLAN backup from my XMP in my S3 mini. So that doesn't helps. It seems in the S3 Mini the data is not stored in wpa-supplicant file.

I use 3 different android devices and in all the devices Backup to Google is activated. But not a single WLAN is restored when i setup a device. It seems this feature is somehow not working.
