I just flashed my GT-P6800 with QuickSilverCM 0.2 ROM and I found that there's no video player. I tried most of the video player on Google Play but none have the tile preview like the stock video player. How can I get the stock video player back or any other stock system application that I like back? Thank you.
Sorry i am at work without my tab I just wanted to say it would be awesome if we could get the sgs3 stock video player with the pop up video play
edit: I just remembered the stock ics rom posted here didn't have a video player included in it either. Maybe samsung is trying to get the pop-up player to work and isnt there yet.
I can pull the apk from my tab for you, but seeing that you are using a CM9 rom, the app won't work since it needs touchwiz.

Using Doc's Froyo 2.2 JPO full package. Had no lag at all.

i have avatar 720p mkv and it plays well on the default video player without any lags or problems when i was in eclair and even now on froyo
Im using stock rom and it lags with market players and I only get audio with stock player. That's with the cars trailer 720p. Any fix for this without using a custom rom?

TBH it worked fine on my stick 2.1 when i got the phone from t-mobile using the stock video player so i cant see a reason why you have issues. Could always try a full factory hard reset and see if that improves it.
Lordao
I'm pretty sure a hard reset isn't the answer. I mean just to get those videos playing, it cant be. There has to be a simple soloution.

Is it on the internal SD or on an external?
720p MKV and MP4 worked on mine off external sd on both 2.2 and 2.1.
Could try re encoding the video with something like Hamster which is freee
Mine are on the externel sd card. N wouldn't re encoding the video change the quality?

i can confirm there is no problem playing 720 straight off the web downloas in the phone for movies, tv shows, anime, etc.
using mplayer to watch the videos
I didn't really use DK27 very much but I remember the stock video player had the ability to bookmark videos and the stock player on eb13 doesn't seem to be able to do that. That kinda seems like a downgrade but maybe it'll make the player work smoother. Are any more of the stock apps changed from dk27?
Do u mean dk28

or Rockplayer...which is very good in hardware mode 720p playback no problem, havent tried 1080p
while i love CM7 it's a pain that i can't use mkv files like i could when i had samsung based rom.
is there anyway to solve it?
or do i have to use some other player do watch mkv files with subs
Try rockplayer. Its in the market the free vs comes with ads but work flalessly
Using rockplayer is what is recommended on CM7 FAQ but I never got mkv to work with the player either. I tried hardware render but it crashes out the phone and software render lags. This happened on any version of CM7 from last Feb. to testing out build 22 - 26.

Which Videos i can watch with Flash Player 11? Which Websites
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
In my tests... none (the browser crashes )
i tried with many video player. but the only one stable and usable is youtube set on 240p
Plays ok and no browser crashing
I been watching all kinds of videos. It is a lil laggy with anything over 240p. But to fix that kill all apps before watching a video and clear your cache regularly. I got a version of it from a website based in mexico i think. i have tried several that people have tweaked on. This one plays alot better then any other one i found. Here it is if anyone wants to try it:

Stop posting illegal stream websites!
And if you want to see flash videos you should simply try it...
whenever i play HD videos specially mkv file 720p, the video playback lagging. but when i play lower resolution videos, the playback is smooth.
I use CM10 rom, and MX player . how can i fix this lag?
I think it's because of the screen resolution. Remember, your screen is only 480x800 and the minimum resolution to play HD video is 1280x720.

The problem lies within your original intentions.
I am assuming MX Player is running the video codec through a software decoder (SW) so you shouldn't be expecting considerable performance, especially when you are pushing the device past its intended playback capabilities.
Nah its the kodecks. Stock could play 720p vids smooth because it has samsung codecks,CM10 has not. They are somehow registered by samsung and belongs to stock roms. I read about this long time ago when I flashed CM7. For 720p videos i suggest you to use any good 3rd developer media app such as any other than mx player. Sw decoding will never be as good as hw but samsung got the hw drivers so we are in problem
P.S. Remember to download the codeks for ARMv7 for mx player.
