Thread title asks it all?
I used original 2.3.3 rom from samsung for about 1 and half years and it is rooted and cwm enabled
my question is which Jelly bean rom should i choose for my daily driver
I can only advise using ICS and let the JB ROMs mature a bit first...
I think u should use CM9 RC02 at the moment and let CM Team working on CM10...there are no nightlys right now, only a CM10 unofficial version from pawitp. For JB testing ok and for some users its a daily driver but let CM cru work ;-)
I'm using TAJB ROM beta, it's fine for daily use.

Slim bean. Super fast, super small and very stable. If you don't like the DPI like me, you can just change it to 240 or whatever.

Im currently using TAJB rom V6 and it can be used as a daily driver. But if your into heavy customizations, you can wait for a few days until a stable build comes out
Thanks for all replies i flashed slim bean rom and it's awesome

I've been using [ROM GNEXUS PORT] jro03c 4.1.1 beta 4 [oficial jelly bean stock rom] - installed it yesterday....it's a little bit sluggish for my taste, but I guess it'll get better with time. in terms of usability it's stable enough for daily use. I've installed it on a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 and I was coming from Cyanogen 10
Try CM10
I strongly suggest CM10 Alpha. The latest build is really fast and it's being updated very regularly and new features are being added everyday.

Hmmmmm, asking people on forum can help you, but you should try every ROM you want (every ROM works different on every phone)
U can try too MIUI v4 2.10.19 from @rtfpessoa. (just my small recomendation)
As at the moment, i using stock gingerbread rom as it is most stable. But you could try cm10 jb rom or slim bean, they are quite ok for daily use.

Most posters in this thread probably won't see this because they're too busy swallowing the bait
Why do people keep asking this impossible "... BEST" question?
Answers is at best biased contribution to pi$$ing competition.
The most chaired rom doesn't mean it's THE Best. Actually reveals more about the chairer...
User pattern, preferences, even hardware differences make it impossible to give usable advice.
Every rom is good, every rom is bad.
TS get away with it being a rookie, but the contributors should know better. There is a reason you don't find threads like this - they're closed.
I tested today more for i9000. I think the most stable is 4.0.4 from AOKP and currently a stay here
cyanogen 10 or slim bean are excellent compromises in terms of performance and stability.
Cm10 is the best solution for our phone.
X-Bean 3.0 + Semaphore 2.4.4s running smooth & stable here. Never had reboots, lag etc. Good for daily use.
After 2 weeks on cm9.1+semaphore 1.3.0 I flashed a couple of days ago cm10 m2 and I am very happy about it
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
The problem is, a lot of JB ROMs have poor battery life due to a 3G drain bug.
Had the carrier stock GB 2.3.4 for a year. Went to CM 9.1 stable. Tried it stock and with semaphore kernel 1.3.0. A few days ago I flashed CM10 M2 and I am not going back.

anyone know what rom go video calls?
ics333 was my favourite. Hasn't been updated in a while though
CM 9.1 last nightly + stock kernel = fast, stable and reliable, haven't tried CM 10 though, many people claim that it is laggy
slim bean
by far, slim bean 2.7
Any latest jb rom with latest semaphore jb kernel (cm10)
I think Slimbean

This rom is to buggy
Go for Alliance rom Ics final
Or Rocket rom v12 ics both roms are extremly stable also bugfree
It depends on what you are looking for.... If you want to stick with ICS then like the above post says. RRv12 is amazing stable but you will have to flash a few extra add ons. Personally I love Kingdroidv8 - no extra work acquired and very stable, good battery life and smooth + fast. With the right kernel.
If you want to try out JB you are going to have to be willing to put up with the bugs, as everyone said it is not stable being based on LEAKED versions. Ultimate JB rom is beautiful and again requires extra work in flashing. But I'm running XLR JB rom right now and so far it's stable but not as fast as I want it to be.
Since you said you just got your NOTE. I suggest that you stick to ICS ROMs based on TOUCHwiz. Get a feel of how amazing the phone is and why everyone of us is in love with the NOTE. Once you've had enough of it, I'm sure a stable version of JB should be out by then
Have fun. Be creative :good:
Try paranoid Android 2.55 ultaka.
I have been using this for about a month, I have followed all the updates, really smooth stable and great battery life, but it's not a TW ROM so stuff like multi windows, snote, smemo, don't work.
To me it's the best JB ROM so far IMHO

I used to have stock Gingerbread on my SGS I9000. Then I switched to DarkyROM ICS, which was okay. After a while I came across the SlimRoms website, which was still developing Slim ICS at the time, so I flashed ICS, which was brilliant. Shortly after the Slim team started working on SlimBean, and after reaching a stable version I tried it for myself, a decision I am glad I made.
SlimBean is by far the lightest, fastest ROM I've used so far. Give it a try for yourself and you'll see how amazing, lag-free it is. I'm using version 3.1 with the Semaphore kernel version 2.6.2s.
Hi,
I've flashed many roms on my i9000 : Miui, cyanogen 7, Cyanogen 9, Jelly Bean, ICs..... but for me the best one is the JW8 SAUROM.
Stable, fast, GS3 Theme and a very good battery life !!
Since i am on this rom i don't want to flash another one !
Slim 3.1 with semaphore 2.6
If someone help me i definitely HIT THANKS....
Your question must be more specific, and I'll try to explain...
In my opininon the are only 2 developers team which should be considered, first CyanogeneMod which leads because of it's bigger number of devs (so more supported devices). 2nd is AOKP, which I personally prefer because it's more designale and more good looking, but also very stable. I've tested hardly both, but 5th build from AOKP has best battery life, so I'm never going back to CM, only for new tests, making new statistics etc.
Hope I helped, greetings

But not alll stock rom 2.3.x can be flash with semaphore.. and not all i9000 can be flash with the same s/rom. But still semaphore 2.7.4 is the best way to get cwm. If flashi v semaphore causing boot failure, try to flash with other s/rom and re-flash semaphore.

The idea of two developers was what I was thinking as well when I was making a decision either to stay on stock 2.3.6 or flash something new. CM9 is more "readable" for me in terms of numbering and Stable/Nightly/Experimental. Even tough I do not understand how come there is a stable version followed by nightly builds.
When watching some videos and screens of AOKP I felt it might be even better but I got confused in the numbering (which of the builds is the most stable as I need a working phone not a phone to be flashed twice a week).
For me the best ROM is SlimBean with Semaphore Kernel!:good:

C-Rom Mix V9 here - it's a near perfect ROM. Stable, everything is where it supposed to be. Very smooth operating. My last phone - XPERIA ARC S was destroyed (and its hardware is superior to that of i9000) - Galaxy - being slower by half is faster when speaking about this system operation. There are some hiccups with number recognition sometimes (like 1/10 phone calls and only till i pick up - so no showstopper for sure ). The camera is limited to just basic functions - but is working perfectly fine. The calendar is more basic than in ICS modded ROM for ARC S. The battery last for a day or less - but here i cannot say if the battery in my phone is just old or is this ROM (i got the phone used and the battery is 2,5 yo). And these are my only complaints - not much I have MUUUUUUUCH more complaints on every other stock/modded rom for Galaxy & ARC S
It's my daily ROM more than a week now.

You want to know which one is faster, the anwser is 4.1.2 definetely. Let me try to say it in other way, the difference between 4.0.4 and 4.1.2 is same as Windows Vista and Windows 7. JB 4.1.2 is not a big (features) update, mostly performance.
About 4.2(.2), there are lot of things to say. A bit slower than 4.1.2, but some new attracting features.
It's your chose, but if you use your phone for "daily use", I suggest you the 4.1.2 JB (Cyanogenmod or AOKP)
If you still care for those new features of 4.2, try [ROM][AOSP][UNOFFICIAL][Stable & Fast][4.2.2] Xylon 0.2.1 \\ For Galaxy S \\ 19.02
Hey all,
since my last Thread was closes due to some rule that didn´t even apply i am trying again:
I am looking for some advice for a very stable rom, TW, AOSP, AOKP, CM doesn´t matter,, i am just looking for some really stable rom advice.

Thanks in advance

GALAXY NOTE N7000 // KITKAT 4.4.2 // OMNI
As stated i am not asking for the best or most stable rom
i just want a recommendation of a very stable rom
i hope all the mods and users too will understand that it is impossible to to judge a roms stability by reading their threads, as much as it is impossible to try out all the roms just to find a very stable one...
This would take hundrets of hours reading and stability testing - or as i hope a 1 line response of a user that has the exp. and knowledge of a real stable rom
So plz show some common sense and just point me in the right direction for some very stable rom
Greetings
frea
edit:
I am not looking for any special features, i dont care for the android version or distribution - i just need it to run as a surveilance camera and some sms forwarding, so the only feature the ROM i am looking for is STABILITY
Sorry, but this is extremely lazy. It took all other users also hours of reading and flashing to find out which ROM suits them best.
As you don't even specify your special usecase (=usage pattern), which Rom you're currently running, it will turn into a "most stable = best ROM" thread.
Good luck anyway and a happy new year.
Edit SMS and surveillance camera > why don't you try out a stock Samsung ROM?

If you are calling this lazy you maybe havent read my requirements...
When i get a new phone i invest days of time to find the ROM that suits me best and i participated in dev. thread since this board was founded, i just cant get the Data of my old acount.
It can´t be prophibited to just ask for a very stable ROM when the alternative is wasting countless hours just to find a ROM that doesn´t need to feature anything but stability.
Nobody with a little bit of common sense would link this to the forum rule for Best ROM Threads...
No offense
but i find it interesting, that you take the time to post 2 answers instead of pointing me to a dev thread of a ROM that meets my requirements...
it is also interesting how every community is getting worse at growing user numbers - just think of this board in the beginning...
