[Q] Bootloader Unlock - Motorola Droid Bionic

So with the Droid Razr now has a bypass. Could we apply that bypass to our phones since the phones are very similar?

Until a Bionic version of KEXEC is released, use the bypass at your own risk.

They are not the same if you checked the milestone is a GSM version of the droid, and has a locked bootloader, you can not flash these roms to your droid just like we cant flash the droid roms

is this a droid?

Well, it's very clear that it's not a Droid (CDMA) but its cousin Milestone (GSM) phone. I've read through the whole page but cannot find a line mentioning its bootloader is unlocked like Droid(CDMA) [yes, Droid's bootloader is unlocked]. But what's mentioned in title as "Unlock Phone" is referred to "carrier unlock" which you can use with any GSM networks.
thx! i can't find unlocked droid(CDMA) anywhere .... i guess there's no unlocked version for droid right?

why not searching in eBay???
finally i think i will not be able to use droid in my country as i need gsm 900hz
Droid is CDMA so if u like the design, u can get the Milestone. Most of the Milestones are carrier free. Bootloader is locked but there're ways to install custom Roms

[Q] Successful Qualcomm MSM8960 bootloader unlock

There is a detailed writeup of a successful bootloader unlock of Motorola MSM8960 phones, exploiting a vulnerability in the Motorola TrustZone kernel:
http://blog.azimuthsecurity.com/2013/04/unlocking-motorola-bootloader.html
Since TrustZone appears to be an ARM / Qualcomm technology, would it be possible to use this same or similar exploit to unlock the bootloaders on the Sony Xperia T and V?
I don't know enough about boatloaders etc. To give an informed answer, but I would personally lean towards no because I am unaware of the Xperia devices using these software fuses. Furthermore, I'm relatively certain that the kernels will be different between Sony and Motorola devices. I'm not saying there's no chance of it working, but then again I'm not saying it will work either.
I'd be interested to hear what the devs have to say about this though.
Good find nonetheless!

Apparently, no devs are reading the Q&A forum...

Boot loader Unlock and SIM Unlock is controlled by .TA file, People like XperianPro have been trying to unlock the bootloader by flashing a .TA (could hard brick your device, 95% it wont work, 50 it will hard brick device, 100% it will disable radio ( cant call or text ). It worked for one guy
ONE DAY WE CAN UNLOCK ARE BOOTLOADER!

[Q] Locked Bootloader

Does this device have a locked bootloader like the Moto's of old where you cannot unlock it?
I'm talking about the International/UK device, Not a US version?
I was looking at ordering one as the Nexus 6 is way too big, but I want to be able to Root & Rom this sucker.
Ta
You can unlock it just fine. I did. Only some variants in the US doesn't allow unlocking.

Proceed with caution regarding expectations for custom ROM development for Moto X. I suspect that they will be few and far between.

Mmm, that's what's always put me off Motorola phones.

Thinking of Buying one for AT&T

I`m thinking of buying one and use it on AT&T, I know it its factory unlocked but my concern is can I flash say the Puerto Rico version firmware on to it? To get rid of the Verizon stuff along with the annoying "Non Verizon sim" message I know that will prob be there.
You need a Moto maxx then

Not what I was asking. The Droid turbo works just fine on AT&T. I was asking if flashing a different varrient on it is possible since there pretty much the same phone.
Then no, you can't flash anything on Droid turbo

Why not? I do know everything is not possible and manufacturers are different, but things are possible. The phones are basically identical

Because verizon locked the bootloader of this phone, so you are stuck with verizon firmware until someone finds a way to unlock the bootloader like they did with last year droid maxx
When a bootloader is locked, you can only flash firmwares designated for the exact phone model, even if they are almost or fully identical.
