The Heimdall Suite 1.3 release includes a major overhaul of Heimdall Frontend. The most important feature is that Heimdall Frontend now provides a means for you to easily package your firmware/ROMs/kernels in a "Heimdall Firmware Package".
Heimdall Firmware Packages contain any files users will need to flash as well as additional information including supported devices, developer names, homepage and donate URLs etc.

Heimdall Firmware Packages can be customised by users or flashed directly as provided by firmware developers. Generally users won't want or need to customise the firmware so flashing your firmware becomes as simple as loading the firmware package and pressing the "Start" button.
Distributing your firmware via Heimdall Firmware Packages should simplify the flashing process for end users and decrease the number of bricks that occur as a result of users flashing incorrect firmware.
Heimdall 1.3.0 has officially been released and can be download from the Heimdall product page.
Feedback is very welcome! As always donations are also very much appreciated.

This application is great and has worked well for me for the GT-I9100 and GT-I9000. However on the GT-I9300 when I extract the PIT file from Heimdall, if I try to create a package using that PIT file and flash it on my device Heimdall tells me that the pit file does not match the device's partition scheme.
Do you know any workaround ?

Okay, so let's say you want your phone to seem to a Samsung rep to have never been rooted or messed with in any such fashion.
What exactly, all in all, would you say you would have to do to get it back to such a condition after having been rooted?
I assume it is something like,
Reset the counter with a usb jig
flash original firmware
But it would not surprise me if there were other loose ends that could end up messing you up as well, so I thought I'd ask.
flash a complete firmware package. custom download counts are stored in the PARAM.lfs partition.
This should do it for you. flash once to enable the "Flash Bootloaders" checkbox then check it and flash again.
This Java JAR file works on Linux, Windows and Mac. Just have java installed on your computer and follow directions (if any).

Hello, I just got a Galaxy S i9000t, I needed to flash it with a rom from XDA(The current miui if that matters), and so I looked for a way to put a cwm on it, the way I found was using CF-Root, but when I got there I found so many versions and numbers that I didn't understand.
I noticed that in my device I had software version JVB(This is PDA I guess), and in baseband I had JV7, so I downloaded this and flashed it in Odin:
CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS.zip
The device boots okay, but when I reach the homescreen, it reboots quickly to the logo of the communication network(Hot reboot I think this was called?), and then back into home screen, which then triggers the reboot again, so I guess I did something wrong.
Can someone direct me to the right version for me? I found nothing about JV7 in the CF-Root thread, and if I need another version, can I just flash it in odin after I flashed the wrong one?
Thank you.

i9000T is same as i9000, but meant for specific regions, so your base-band is important for communicating with your home network. , you should note it down and use that when changing ROM's
if you only want Root, you can use Framaroot , if you want CWM you can use semaphore kernel. make sure your version is (froyo/ gingerbread) correct

Are you sure youre in the right forum? There is no 2.3.4 for the i9305. And as far as I know you can't downgrade from 4.4.4 to earlier versions.
The link you posted does not work for me.
Content of refered post:
1. Unpacking firmware
2. Delete sboot.bin and tz.img
3. Copy firmware files in /parts folder
4. Run TAR.MD5_PACKAGER.bat
5. 1 make TAR
6. 2 make MD5
7. End
In /packaged folder your .tar.md5 firmware archive
Not rename your new firmware archive.

As far as I know there is no 2.x version of Android to 9305.
Oldest version You can get is 4.1.
But when You have 4.4, any downgrade will trigger knox flag and make warranty void.
Anyway there is no logic reasons to go back to older system. If you want to change something, you should search for custom roms.
Hello,
I try to flash this image to my phone with TWRP.

Thank You very much
I think your device could pretty easily be fixed by just reinstalling the stock ROM through Odin.
Follow these simple steps:
Download stock ROM from SamMobile. Here is a direct link to your device. Simple select the right firmware for your phone and download.
Download flashing tool, in this case, Odin. Make sure to download it from a reliable source as 3rd parties sometimes do include viruses.
Boot your phone into download mode by pressing the Volume down and Bixby button at the same time as you plug in the USB-c cable.
Use Odin to flash all the stock firmware files except for the HOME_CSC one.
Congrats you have successfully recovered your phone. Now give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
Also, please place your thread in the right forum in the future. That way you can get help much quicker.
If this answer did help you, please mark it as the solution as it help people in the future.
