Introduction:
These are the various Gapps packages for android.
As you should know: Gapps cannot be bundled with any source-built rom, they can only be included if you're building off of a stock rom for that device.
These are the various apks used by gapps, and optional apps that cannot be downloaded from the market.

Finally made a new test version very much after the fact:
Notice:
This one is a test version, it is a unified zip for all dell devices.
It REQUIRES CWM 6.0+ or TWRP 2.2+ (for the S7/S10) to install.
It is not compatable with streakmod. (for the S5)
As a bonus, I made it so it includes the permissions file so anyone using that can also use the Dell Stage 1.7 widgets from the market if they wish.
The widgets themselves are not actually bundled, download them off the market if you want, otherwise you dont need to do anything.
update-Gapps-ICS-20907-b1.zip
Contents:
Gapps: 4.0.4-422743
Market: 3.8.17
Supports neon and non-neon devices now (ie S7/S10)
missing text2speech voices from previous versions
Things I'm still missing (ie they're very out of date)
MarketUpdater
OneTimeInitialzer 4.0.4-338691
com.google.widevine.software.drm.jar
If nothing is broken (due to Gapps), I will finish preparing Gapps Opt/ICS.
I've been able to seperate better (I think) the optional files from the required ones.

I finally got it straight thx.
So are these gapps supposed to be more up to date than the goo.im package. Or is there a different benefit?
They're half a year newer, and are unmodified.
The goo.im ones are deodexed repacks, these are straight out of donor roms.
The latter part doesnt actually affect anything, it's just because I'm OCD on liking my apks unmodified whenever possible (and reasonable)
google talk isnt included in this? and google card works for our device?
Gtalk isnt included, it's normally included in the gapps-optional package.
Reason I havnt included in this release is that there's 2 varients, tegra2 and everything else.
I'll likely finish up the optional package and release that next week.
I'll be updating gapps for 2.3/3.2/4.0 (and mabye 4.1) soon.
I havnt been getting much in the way of feedback, if I did I would likely be more consistant in my updating of this.

Only issue I had was the install. Using CWM, it appeared to install but didn't but did from TWRP.
Updated OP, unified all gapps into a single post.
Released updated Gapps for 2.3/3.2/4.0/4.1
Edit: moved old post to repurpose post #2

I just installed the "Update-Gapps-JB-21205.zip" on giveen's CM10 v1.1c with no problems from TWRP.
Thanks for the packages. Very useful to have them all organized and details regarding what's inside each package.
1 request.... and totally greedy on my part
Would you consider creating inverted gapps packages? The inverted apps use less battery... perhaps slightly but still better non the less. Also, from an aesthetic standpoint, darker images and backgrounds blend well with ICS and up

Sorry, but that's the oppisite of my long term strategy: My endgame is to have unmodified and verified good files for everything.
you can simply overwrite the original ones if you wish, and it'll flash your modified version
What color is the invert one? from my understanding: white is good for lcds and black is good for oleds.

I always have a black inverted setup on my devices. No worries mate, I understand there are gapps packages around I can flash on top if/when need be to satisfy my liking for appearance. As I said, greedy request. But I like the close to official as possible approach and if I get a package with modified apk's that proves to play nice... I will share my findings. One I am thinking of off the top of my head is called JusTun Bean (JB inverted apps) which comes as a quick flash .zip or in an aroma installer. They've worked across all my devices pretty well. A quick search in xda will show links.
I apologize if my statement about battery life being improved may not be accurate, I kind of just assumed it was better for one screen type... it was better for all. My bad
Thanks again for the packages
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I cant actually confirm my statements, but from what I know:
oleds generate light, so less light = less power
lcds have a backlight, and they block light, so less blocking = less power
Just like I said though, there's nothing keeping you from simply replacing the files in the zips with your own customized versions.
You can even redistribute them if you have permission from the original modder.
(if you do though, keep it in the apps subforum as it falls under theme modding)
Updated HC-Opt: added gmail, gmail isnt available on the market for HC, and only HC
Edit: It turns out that some of the apks are marked as backwards compatable to previous versions of android.
If there are any volunteers on 4.0/CM9 willing to test: i'm going to make experimental versions that use apks from 4.1 that are marked as being able to run on 4.0.
(some of them from stock 4.2 are even marked compatable as far back as 2.2, but i only need 4.0 testers as I dont have any live devices with it)
Needless to say, the ones made for 4.1 are newer, and it would simplify the update zips (not to mention it might have more features)
Did initial test on running apks on earlier versions of android: they dont work, it's likely the manifests are not tagged correctly.
Any future versions for 3.2/4.x will move gSearch/gNow/gVoiceSearch into the optional bundle, as they're not really required components.
You are still recommended to install them though if you do use them: gSearch/gNow/gVoiceSearch need to be placed into /system/app to integrate into the stock launcher (ie the special search bar widget) to function.
Simply installing it from market will allow it to work, but it wont tie into the stock launcher.
There might be a new ICS gApps version soon, depending on how things pan out
GoogleEars (google sound search) is apparently available on the market.
Future versions of gapps will remove it as it is already available on the market.
Edit: I will also be examining GoogleTTS closer, it seems that the language synthesis data can be downloaded from within the app. If this is the case, I will remove the langauge data and the user can simply download whichever one desired. There is also the fact this would remove the necessity of making sure you have the latest language data (though I do not expect that it changes that frequently)

- Sense roms (Wildpuzzle / Leaf / SunaAbh / DK etc..)
- Aosp roms (OpenFire / GingerFire)
- CyanogenMod roms (CM 6.1.0 / CM 7 )
- Theoretically every 2.2 & 2.3 roms for Wildfire

- Depending on countries (and possibly fingerprints) you might get different results !
- If you can't download, blame google and their servers !
- If you feel like doing a Nandroid backup, do it !
#[email protected]==#
What it does :
- shows non-Qvga (up to 800*480=WVGA) apps in market (ex. Rom-Manager)
- show protected apps (ex. Paypal(?) / Dr. droid )
What it does NOT :
- doesn't show paid apps in countries which... don't show them, use Market Enabler for that.

Requirements :
- A custom rom (or at least a rooted phone with custom recovery)
- Cyanogen only : Pre-installed G-apps
Install instructions :
- Download Symp.market.Color.vX.X.zip
- Put in on your SD-card root
- Reboot under Recovery
- Flash as usual (select a zip from sdcard => naviguate to .zip => select "yes" and wait it's done)
- Reboot under your rom, tap on the market icon
- Accept ToS (if not, see the FAQ, Q°4) and enjoy
#[email protected]==#
FAQ :
1 - An app not showing ? Check on www.androlib.com if the requested app isn't missing from the market ! (ex : ScummVM)
2 - Can't download from the market ? The patching method I used is a known process and it's 99.9% impossible that it causes problems. If downloading apps fails, it's a google-sided problem.
3 - Don't know what it does ? Look at screenshots, XXX results for a "video" search Search for "video" to see the difference (or compare before and after patching) !
4 - After flashing the market, you still can't see more apps ? You'll need to go to "Settings", from there go to Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> find the Market app ==> Purge its datas & caches : Accept ToS again.
5 - Can't reboot / bootloops right after flashing this patch ?!??! Well, I'm not going to open an Aftersales service, but first : You did something wrong !
=> This patch only do things related to Vending.apk (market app) & its cache, nothing more ! Therefore, having a PHONE issue (like not rebooting / needing to flash a previous nandroid backup) ISN'T MY RESPONSABILITY NOR THIS PATCH'S FAULT. This being stated, I still can point out some of those WRONG BEHAVIOR and what it does :
*removing Vending.apk from G-apps* => perfectly stupid !
*not installing G-apps before flashing* => YOU NEED THEM !
*flashing this patch to a stock rom* => I never tried, but if it works, it's kewl.
6 - New v2.2.x gives you FCs ? Use the Symp.Market.Remover.zip to purge the market :
1- Put the file on your SDcard
2- Flash it under Clockwork Recovery
3- Reboot, let your rom boot (WITHOUT directly flashing a patched market)
4- once your rom booted, check market disapeared and can't be launched by any leftover shortcut.
5- Reboot under recovery and flash Symp.Color.market.vX.X.zip as normal
*another wierd problem not listed below?* => No, this isn't stupid to ask if you did everything GOOD, if no matter what you still have ****s, just post a Logcat and/or the maximum infos about what's going wrong.

I have only ~700 results for search term. „video“. Something is strange...
It won't show payed apps if your country doesn't support them. I'm pretty sure Serbia doesn't.
OK, but when I fake my country with Market Enabler (set to T-Mobile USA) i have 1093 results for „video“, not 3000+ like we can see in the screenshot above
Did you have to accept ToS when you run market again ? You might need to fake your fingerprint, i'll post something about that.

Be that as it may, the market in wildpuzzlerom eclair 2.1 still shows more apps than this patch applied to gapps-mdpi-20101020 when installed on CyanogenMod RC2? How's that possible? For instance I can't for the love of god find the app called "Appie". In the wildpuzzlerom market it's easy to find...
2 results for ROM Manager and 1000+ for video. Same as before I flashed this. Cyanogen mod RC2 btw.

No. There was no new ToS. That's strange, because I know there should be ToS after patching.
Best way to check if patched market works:
look for ICQ, the original ICQ app. it's not released for qvga, so if you can see it, the patched market works
No ICQ for me when i search the Market...

ok, i'm not shure if you could get it with a desire or something else in your country. but if you knew that it is there for the "big" screens, then you should see it after you flashed the patched market
there is not much difference between this and the patched market for openfire rom? I flashed the openfire one and it works fine

Welcome to x91WGx's Gigglebread Edition!
Disclaimer:
Code:
Please note that this ROM is based on an UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod7 build, named Gigglebread.
It contains cherry picks and fixes by non-CM7 devs.
I decided to make this ROM as it was suggested to me that Gigglebread appears to be better than the official CyanogenMod7.
I do not agree nor disagree on this, but I did get motivated enough to make this ROM.
Once again:
If you are looking for my x91WGx's Gingerbread Edition ROM v3.1.2, then you are wrong here. Please go here.
As I was saying..
This ROM is based on the unofficial CyanogenMod7 build Gigglebread.
It has the same features as my Gingerbread Edition, but is based on a different build.
I just posted it here for the people that prefer Gigglebread over the official CyanogenMod7, but like my (so far not that many) modifications to the ROM.
The ROM currently holds:
- Latest VorkKernel by Benee & Kiljacken
- Libsqlite.so patch by Benee
- Quicker GPS fix in Europe
- Updated BusyBox (1.19)
- Customized framework (icons, battery percentage, notifications tab)
- The following apps:
Terminal Emulator, Browser, Calculator,
Calendar, Camera, Contacts, Desk Clock,
Email, File Manager, Gallery 3D,
Google Sync, Gingerbread Keyboard,
ADW Launcher, MIUI Music, MMS,
Pimp My CPU 2.7, Rom Manager,
Sound Recorder, Spare Parts,
SuperUser, Market, VoiceDialer,
Google Talk, Volume+.
Installation instructions:
0. Boot into recovery
1. Wipe Data/Factory Reset when coming from stock/another custom ROM! not needed when coming from an earlier version of this ROM
2. Install zip from SDcard >> Choose zip from SDcard >> select the ROM.zip file
3. Let it install, when done, reboot!
Changelog:
v4.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 310511-2041
v3.1:
- Updated VorkKernel to 310511
v3.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 300511-1348
v2.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 280511-1436
v1.5:
- Initial release, based on Gigglebread 240511-1542
- VorkKernel 240511 by Benee & Kiljacken
- Libsqlite.so patch by Benee
- Quicker GPS fix in Europe
- Updated BusyBox (1.19)
- Customized framework (icons, battery percentage, notifications tab)

But, really nice.
EDIT: v3.0 released!
The latest version of gapps (gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip) on the official Google download page (http://goo.im/gapps/) for JellyBean is version 4.2.2-573038.
This thread is a work in progress in an attempt to keep an updated version of gapps available for Galaxy Tab 2 users. Currently, the official gapps package (20130301) is up-to-date with Jelly Bean, but I have still released an updated package with my modifications. See changelog in text files below for details.
History:
* Attached is gapps for JB (4.1.2-485486) extracted from stock Galaxy Nexus I9250 ROM (JZO54K).
* Attached is gapps for JB (4.2.2-573038) extracted from stock Galaxy Nexus I9250 ROM (JDQ39).
Note: The Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Nexus both share the same processor (OMAP4) from Texas Instruments. Therefore, because their chipsets are the same, gapps extracted from Galaxy Nexus firmwares are also optimized for the Galaxy Tab 2.
These files have been tested working on CM10 and CM10.1 (depending on the version of gapps). The version of the gapps must match the version of the Android operating system. For example, gapps 4.2.2 only works with Android 4.2.2.
Note: These new gapps packages also contain the latest versions of FaceLock, Gmail, and Google Talk.
*** Attached below are also clockworkmod flash-able zip files for DPI 160 modified Google Play and GoogleServicesFramework. If you want to change the Galaxy Tab 2 into "Tablet" user interface, then the /system/build.prop must be changed to a DPI of 133 or less. Unfortunately, these changes will break the Google Play market compatibility because the market does not know your device when you change the DPI properties. Therefore, a DPI of 160 has been now hard-coded into these two applications which allows you to change build.prop to anything you want without affecting the compatibility of the market. The version of the Android Market that has been included in these DPI modified flashable zip files is 3.4.7. I have chosen this version (3.4.7) because it is the last version that still has full compatibility with Ti Backup and it is also the last version of Google Play with a "sane" version of the applications list. IMHO.
The version of Google Play (Phonesky.apk) in the DPI 160 zips can also be updated with any of the "DPI 160" patched market files from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827) and you can keep the same version of GSF that I have just posted.
** All zip files are flash-able via ClockWorkMod
*** Text files below contain MD5Sum information and links for downloading.
New version of gapps for ics (4.0.4-390215) extracted from latest P3113 ROM (P3113UEBLG5_P3113XARBLG5_XAR). Enjoy.
Many thx!
I've uploaded to my Dropbox for easier downloading for some folks, hope you don't mind
4.0.4-390215
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wpkp3qav82o1e4u/gapps-ics-4.0.4-390215-signed.zip
I guess it's only for 4.0.4 ?
Cause i'm still running 4.0.3 even if I tried to flash 4.0.4 but it didn't work
(I have GT-P3110...)

The ICS versions work with any 4.0.4 ROM like cyanogen 9.
I have just added gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed.zip (optimized for OMAP processors) for JellyBean to the first post. These files were extracted from the new OTA Galaxy Nexus JellyBean update (JRO03C). I figured that the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Nexus should work the same because they both share the same processor and I did not want to wait for google to release a new gapps package. Notice that gapps-jb-20120726-signed (from the official gapps download page) is actually 4.1-392829. The gapps package that I have just uploaded is 4.1.1. This gapps package includes updated versions of Google Talk, Gmail, and FaceLock as well.
This is tested working on CM10.
Note: This gapps package (4.1.1-398337) should work with any device using an OMAP processor (p51xx and p31xx) and running Android 4.1.1 (jellybean).
I have re-uploaded gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed because I had accidentally left out a file in the package. The calendar sync was not working. This is now fixed and a new link has been added to the first post.

Many thanks for your gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337 collection! Running great.
Quick question: Google Calendar Sync is still version 4.0.3 239410 - am I wrong?

Actually, there is a slightly newer version of Calendar Sync that I just found in one of the other packages I made. I could substitute 4.0.3 for 4.0.4-390215 (from my ICS gapps). Although, I still can not find a Calendar Sync for 4.1.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have updated the link to gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed.zip on the first page one more time with the following minor change:
Updated GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter from 4.0.3-239410 to 4.0.4-390215 (20120801)
Upgrade procedure: Flash with clockworkmod. No data wipes necessary.
Do I need to wipe before flashing or can I just flash over my ICS gapps? I'm on CM10

You do not need to wipe if you are already on CM10 and you have flashed the official gapps. You can install these gapps on top of the official gapps without having to wipe anything.
thanks for this!
I have just added clockworkmod flash-able zip files for DPI 160 modified Google Play and GoogleServicesFramework. If you want to change the Galaxy Tab 2 into "Tablet" user interface, then the /system/build.prop must be changed to a DPI of 133 or less. Therefore, a DPI of 160 has been now hard-coded into these two applications which allows you to change build.prop to anything you want without affecting the compatibility of the market. I have created two files, one for the latest 20120726 official Google Apps, and also one for the 4.1.1-398337 Gapps that I have included in this post. The version of the Android Market that has been included in these flashable zip files is 3.4.7. I have chosen this version (3.4.7) because it is the last version that still has full compatibility with Ti Backup and it is also the last version of Google Play with a "sane" version of the applications list. IMHO.
But, you can update the Market with any of the "DPI 160" patched market files from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827) and keep the same version of GSF that I have just posted.
Been having a issue restoring my settings after flashing gapps, When I look into backup & reset 'backup my data' and 'automatic restore' is checked. Under 'backup account' it shows no account is currently storing backup data, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Running CM9 final, everytime I flash a new rom then gapps after all my previous settings are lost.

GoogleBackupTransport is the file that would affect backing up your data. Your settings should not be lost by just flashing gapps again during an upgrade of the same version ROM (for example, flashing a new nightly build over the last one). Actually, you do not have to keep flashing gapps after every installation because they are backed up with Cyanogenmod's scripts. Which version of gapps are you using? Does this problem occur if you use GoogleBackupTransport.apk from the official gapps?
Note that the DPI 160 patched zips with a modified GSF and Google Play are for CM 10 only.

As mentioned, it is a barebone Rom, which is limited to the essentials ... Wages of the whole: about 100MB of RAM, which is the device clearly the best.
It is strongly recommed to flash the stock Firmware package XXLG2 first.
Kernel: It should be the 1.3.1 iduos Kernel be used, but because it has changes from the previous versions and works much better as the kernel of the older versions.

I've also put even think of modding the current XXLE3 Rom, as the TD1.1 mod suits and I do not really based on an earlier version, where the setting operation of the dual SIM cards is not yet available.
The mod is a mod BAREBONE, so anything goes, is out ... but may be partially installed later.
I myself have used the updater script and mods (except Bravia Engine) Millan.SIS because they work so perfectly.
The facts:
- Samsung update, test and function gravel removed
- From boat, charger and camera sounds
- TWLauncher replaced by the Lightning Launcher (used to, but resource-efficient and very fast, very customizable)
- Replaced by Samsung Keyboard Keyboard Adaptxt (the respective dictionaries you can install it from the market out)
- GTalk, gMail, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and other office from which services are still in Rome, so the apps can be installed as required.
- All of Samsung Gedöhns removed (including all Samsung-specific services)
- Libraries of the uninstalled useless apps from the / bin folder deleted
- Over ringtones, alarm and alert tones from AOSP Rome
- Replaced and added language "Voice Recorder" against default sound recorder.
- Updated to 3.7.11 Market.

This Rom is mainly based on the work of Omar Avelar - originally the Rom only was a stock mod inspired by the mod of arman68, but I have now decided to use Omar's Rom as a base.
Its a WIP and designed for my needs, the goal is a stable and clean Stock-ROM. I'm open for any suggestion to make this bigger and better. At this moment its just a bunch of mods and things i like to have. Credits to Omar-Avelar, arman68, Shaftenberg and hypophysis for their great work.
Although the Rom in principle is based on the stock version, the phone is necessary to reset. Some users complain about performance degradation without datawipe, here it can help to datawipe or to make a clean flash with RSDlite.
Features:
Custom kernel M9 (Omar-Avelar)
Linux 3.0.101, 2014-03-30
Numerous build.prop tweaks
init.d support & tweaks
GPS optimized for europe
BusyBox 1.21.1
Fully Deodexed & Zipaligned
Pre-rooted with ClockworkMod Superuser 1.0.3.0
Heavily debloated
Auto brightness curve tweaks
Extended reboot-menu (restart & recovery-restart)
Navigationbar smaller (38dpi)
AOSP 4.4 Calender
AOSP 4.4 Clock with timer and stopwatch
AOSP 4.4 Email/Exchange client
AOSP 4.4 Fonts
AOSP 4.4 Lockscreen
AOSP 5.0 Navigationbar
AOSP 4.4 Statusbar (with %-text battery)
AOSP themed Contacts/Phone/Messaging
CyanogenMod boot animation
CyanogenMod Calculator
CyanogenMod File Manager

IMPORTANT: Greenifying an app implies that you are aware that all the background functionality of this app will become out of service during the hibernation except when you are using this app.
The background functionality includes but not limited to:
Persistent background services
Broadcast receivers, which respond to global device events, such as network state change, SMS reception.
Alarms, which activate background task at specific time or interval.
Widget update. Widget should display but never update because periodic update involves background task.

You flashed over the official Motorola JB 4.1.2 EU firmware? No other Mods or ROMS? Cause this is NOT a full ROM at this point, it's a mod of the Stock-ROM.

The only thing that needs new libaries at this moment is the Google 4.4 Keyboard - it's a mod, so it just keeps the things it needs from Stock.
any chance we get this baby working on newest brazil fw ?
or is it possible to flash over the brazil fw with the eu fw with fastboot, without loosing data?

U can't flash EU firmware without data loss, it wouldn't work anyway for your brazilian provider. You can try to use your own framework directory and the original SystemUI, should probably work - no garantee.

1. The clock can be fixed easily, just whipe the appdata of your clock - i'll try to fix this in future versions.
2. Think this a caused by the size of some images, i'll have a look at it
3. The Icons are from the MIUI X5 HD Apex Theme, cant upload them because you have to pay for it.

This mod is ONLY for the official Motorola JB 4.1.2 EU firmware, no support for flashing over JB-X AOSP ROM, Pi-llama Rom, or infiniROM!.

It's not possible that you get a bootloop if you are doing it right, ONLY official Motorola JB 4.1.2 EU firmware.
I have the same looping issue even if I install it over the official Motorola JB 4.1.2 .
