I know S Memo is dependent on some Samsung frameworks, so I'm curious if anyone has a way to keep all the things necessary to make S Memo work when going to a Cyanogen based ROM.

No, there is currently no way to port touchwiz based apps to cm roms. Touchwiz apps are closed source, so no one is able to adjust the code for the stock framework. I as above poster says, there are good alternatives for use in cm9

So i took the system dump from the nexus 1 froyo package because there are a few apps i wanted that come stock with the nexus. When i try to install them though, it says problem parsing the package. How do i get them to install?

Try root explorer or adb and place them in the proper directory
/system/app - system apps
/data/app - all others
Ive already done that and it doesnt work. Ive already put a new launcher in the system/app direcrory and done away with touch wiz. I did it through root explorer. But the other apps dont work even after placing them in the directory. Do I also need to place the odex file there too?

Well that would depend if the rom you are using is De-oxed or not. If it is then it wont work no matter where you put them, if it is not then yes. No promises that they will work at all sense you are using HTC based apks on a samsung device. As long as none of them need the htc framework to work you should be good

Im actually not using a rom. Stock froyo on my device. I like the battery life much better. I wanted it to be as pure google as possible. So i removed touchwiz, all the samsung apps and widgets, and all the att apps. Its very snappy and looks very pure google. Only thing is the music player, calculator, calendar, and contacts apps. I wanted stock versions of those.

Friends, I need to consult about this rom. I have installed the last few days and it works very well, mainly in the tablet bike is the best thing about this rom.
The problem is that it does not work anything related to the s-pen, is there any way to install something so that the s-pen works as it works to Ginger?
Thank you very much.
there is already a fix for it, a user posted. if you searched the thread you would have found it. its on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516515&page=164

Thank you very much. Already down, and now I'm going to change the root explorer as it says in the post. Now, so fix the issue of s-pen, but how do I get off SMEMO and applications that are SMEMO LITE brings Samsung to operate the pen?
You won't get any sammy app running on ASOP builds. All s-apps are related to the samsung-touchwiz framework.
Does, that mean an app writen with the spen sdk wont run on aosp roms

Just like the title says, I want to take the keyboard from the ICS leaks and put it on a custom ICS rom. Is this possible? I am rooted and do know basics about the android file system.
Thanks!

There is a port of it available from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDMsImNvbS5iZWFuc29mdC5iZWFuX2tleWJvYXJkIl0. Perhaps that will help.

Thanks for the suggestion. The reason I want the keyboard from the ICS leak is because it has bigger keys and is easier to type on. The stock ICS/JB keyboard has too small of keys for my big hands

I realized that I sent the wrong link, but I get your point. My bad on that. I would assume you can pull the apk from system/apps though. It should work. Good luck with it though.

Ok, so I extracted the update zip of the ICS Leak and I can't kind anything related to a keyboard under system/apps. It looks a lot like the ICS stock keyboard so it may just be a modified version of the built in keyboard. I may have to find an alternative keyboard or just get used to the smaller keys.
Thanks!
Hi, is there any way to get s-note working on CM 10.1? I know it is for TW however perhaps there is some flashable zip or it is enough to install it once I have the apk (which I have). I am asking this as I really nead s-note for school, I have tried jotter (for galaxy note) on cm and the performance was rather poor and it was raver limited...
Hmm,,, still no way.. have you tried Gnote ?
SNote and other Samsung apps rely on touchwizz which won't run on aosp. Even if you got the apk's they won't install.
If you really need it try a tw based rom, it's the only solution I'm afraid.

S pen and S note only works with Samsung TW and not with other AOSP roms
Spen is working with new cm,aokp roms like Stunner, RootBox,...and gestures too
And you can use Apps like Papyrus instead of SNote.
SnoteApp

You can't have it, s-note will only exist in Touchwiz roms.
